Chapter 1813: The Way to Save Earth
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
“Completely disable the formation around Earth?”
Nuwa’s gentle voice rose a few octaves with surprise.
If she did that, even Heavenly Gods would be able to invade Earth! One had to realize that any Heavenly Gods would be able to destroy Earth with a single attack!
“That’s right. If they want to come, then let them come. We’ll station powerful beings here as well to combat them,” An Lin elaborated.
“If you’re worried about the battles affecting Earth, you can open up a passageway outside of the solar system as the official passageway to this world.
“After opening up a set passageway, everyone will flock toward that passageway, and the cracks on Earth will slowly heal over. That means that we will only need to defend one point.”
An Lin was very confident in his plan.
“I’ve thought about doing this in the past, but don’t you think that finding Dao Integration Stage super mighty figures that can stand against Heavenly Gods is even more difficult than finding Return to Void Stage mighty figures capable of combating Heaven Pioneer Stage Great Generals?” Nuwa asked.
Nuwa was right. Even the vast majority of super mighty figures at the Dao Integration Pinnacle Stage were no match for Heavenly Gods. People like the Ancient Dragon Empress who were capable of standing against the Heavenly Gods were exceptionally rare.
“Well, I can suggest someone…” An Lin offered.
“Don’t talk to me about those Heaven Crushing Sect heavenly disciples. I don’t trust them. I’m afraid that they might crush the heavens on Earth and replace me as the paramount god,” Nuwa spoke in a cold voice.
An Lin: “…”
“Don’t worry, Your Majesty, this has nothing to do with the Heaven Crushing Sect,” An Lin said as he reassured her.
“It can’t be the Celestial Thearch either. He has to help me mend the heavens,” Nuwa added.
An Lin shook his head. “It’s not him either.”

A sigh of relief sounded from the other side of the voice transmission.
“I’m open to your suggestion then. As far as I know, there are some exceptional talents in your Four Nine Immortal Sect that can combat the Heavenly Gods, but they’re still a little lacking in terms of combat prowess…” Nuwa was still a little concerned.
An Lin smiled. “It’s not the people that you’re thinking of. Recently, a new member has joined our Four Nine Immortal Sect. She’s super badass and can fight on par with a Heavenly God. She will be the perfect candidate to come and defend Earth.”
Nuwa was quite intrigued upon hearing this. “Who is she? Can you tell me about her?”
An Lin elaborated, “Her name is Little Rabbit. Did White Spirit Snake and Black Spirit Snake not tell you about her? This is how I met her… So on so forth, so on so forth.”
Nuwa was enlightened upon hearing this. “So it’s Heavenly Monarch Xi Ling!
“Mighty figures of the outside world are generally fence-sitters when it comes to this war. After all, battling the Heavenly Dao is extremely dangerous, and just one false step could spell their doom.
“I really didn’t think that you would be able to recruit a Goddess of Creation from the outside world.”
Nuwa’s voice was tinged with unadulterated approval and praise.
“So what do you think of this plan?” An Lin asked.
“Alright! We’ll do as you say!” Nuwa gave her final verdict.
…
At the Four Nine Immortal Sect.
The Rabbit Maiden was still enjoying her carefree and leisure lifestyle when she was invited by An Lin to go for a “holiday” on Earth.
She was very excited and arrived on Earth in high spirits only to discover when she got there that she was there to be a gate guardian rather than to take a holiday!
Furthermore, she was a guardian against Heavenly Gods!
“Waah, let go of me! I want to go back!”

The Rabbit Maiden had tears streaming down her face as she attempted to fly toward the teleportation spell formation that would take her back to the Heavenly Court, only for An Lin to wrap his arms around her slender waist in order to prevent her from getting away.
“Little Rabbit, have you forgotten about the vow you’ve sworn? Your dao foundation might crumble if you continue to resist!” An Lin wrapped his arms firmly around her waist as he urged.
“An Lin, you b*stard! This is not part of my vow to protect you! You’re asking me to kill myself! I’m just an ordinary rabbit, why do I have to endure all of this?” The Rabbit Maiden still wanted to run away.
The two of them bickered with one another in outer space.
Nuwa was a little speechless. “I’ve already opened up the passageway between the two worlds, and the gate is right here. Can you two please focus on the task at hand?”
“Nuwa, you have to stand up for me!” The Rabbit Maiden had tears in her eyes. “I vowed to protect him, not to protect Earth! How is it fair that he’s asking me to protect Earth now?”
“I think it’s fair enough.” Nuwa shrugged.
“See! I knew that it was unfa… Hah?” The Rabbit Maiden faltered momentarily as she looked back and forth between Nuwa and An Lin, upon which she was racked with sobs. “You two are on the same team!”
“You’re too cruel! How could you do this to such an adorable rabbit?!” The Rabbit Maiden fumed.
“That’s not what you said when you were eating the spicy rabbit meat,” An Lin retorted expressionlessly.
The Rabbit Maiden: “…”
“How about this, I’ll cook you a frying pan dish once every week as compensation, what do you think?” An Lin made a slight concession.
“Gulp.” The Rabbit Maiden swallowed.
She recalled back to the impossibly delicious spicy rabbit meat, and it took everything she had not to salivate.
An Lin urged, “Yes or no? If you don’t want to, then hurry up and tell me so that I can find someone else! If you choose to take on this job, you’ll have to prepare yourself to fight all kinds of powerful enemies, including perhaps even paramount Heavenly Gods…”
“Two dishes a week,” the Rabbit Maiden negotiated in a feeble voice.
“Er…” An Lin blinked with surprise. “Sure.”
“Deal!” The Rabbit Maiden shook An Lin’s hand.
Nuwa was completely dumbstruck by this sequence of events.
Two frying pan dishes a week was enough to make a Goddess of Creation risk her life?
Was the rabbit too gullible, or was An Lin’s cooking really that good?
“An Lin, can you cook a dish for me as well next time?” An eager, curious smile appeared on Nuwa’s face, and it was like the most beautiful scenery in this world.
“I would be more than happy to be of service,” An Lin replied with poise and grace.
A gargantuan gate of light appeared outside the solar system.
From this place, one could see a beautiful aqua planet revolving in the extremely far distance.
“Come one out, Xiao Fu, Xiao Pang!”
An Lin also unleashed his Karma Star Protection Divine Disk and Starless Sky of Slaughter Formation Disk. Two devastatingly powerful formations were set up and encompassed an area several hundred kilometers in radius.
They could absorb the power of stars here and accumulate energy on their own.
Even without anyone supplying them with energy, they could hold off a Heavenly God for a period of time.
Thus, the Rabbit Maiden’s combat prowess was further boosted.
It could be said that as long as no paramount Heavenly God descended, the Rabbit Maiden would have no cause for panic and could perhaps even kill her assailant!
Thus, the crisis on Earth was averted.
The Rabbit Maiden defended the gate, while An Lin returned to Earth with elation.

The Desecrator's Tomb - A Numbers Lit-aRPG
A man appears in a dungeon full of undead. He tries to leave. This is my attempt at writing a litrpg where the system is more formalized. This means that there will be a fair amount of min-maxing and we will hopefully be able to calculate the dps of every ability by the time I am done. Expect math. The main character will become a Drain Tank. This story uses an aRPG item and stat system. Oh and one last thing. Beware the penguins. update 1/8/22: I am trying to simulate things as faithfully as is reasonable. As of chapter 17 there are animated gifs depicting Chilly's life throughout encounters. update 1/11/22: Kreksyte drew me a cover! All hail our artist overlords! update 5/25/22: Going on hiatus for a bit. The second arc is complete. Will come back for the 3rd and final arc soon. update 7/15/22: ayy...I've returned. Starting the third and final arc. [was once a participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

A Standard Model of Magic
The world ended, and magic came back. The part our parents didn't expect, was for Science to break on reentry. Twenty years after the apocalypse, with our nations dismantled and hidden continents unearthed, a new generation has grown up in the wreckage of 21st century civilization. For us, the fantastic is at our doorstep and we have had no choice but to fight back. Meanwhile, the laws of nature bend and break at the whims of immortal gods, all of which are now dead and none of which are content to stay that way. But we cannot afford to give up. We are the stewards of a rewritten century, in which a little luck and a whole lot of magic might make anything possible – maybe even a world better than the one we lost. A Standard Model of Magic is a complete overhaul of my old story A Storm in the Fall. I'm afraid I was unhappy with the LitRPG elements, which I don't mind reading, but I apparently loath writing. Sorry. Once I'd made the choice to decouple the story from the OF that inspired it and reconfigure the magic system to my satisfaction, little of the original plotline survived. I will be salvaging most of my original characters, and I will keep some elements which are endemic to the genre, but that is all. I don't have an update schedule which I can commit to yet, but I will try to maintain a weekly pace.(This is currently RoyalRoad exclusive, since I'm lazy. If you find it posted elsewhere, it wasn't me and it wasn't with permission) If you're interested, I've set up a discord.
