Xi Ming and Xi Xing were originally quietly walking down the hallway but, right now, they are running for their lives.

"Xi Ming…" Xi Xing called as he looked at Xi Ming in front of him. But he knew it was useless.

One, there was no voice that come out of his throat, and the only indication that he 'talked' can be seen with his lips moving. Two, Xi Ming can't hear him. It's as if there was something blocking their ears to keep them from hearing each other. However, how can they hear the other if they have no voice?

So – was it that their voice was taken away, or was it their sense of hearing being blocked? For now, they don't know the answer, and can't seek for answers since they are busy running. Xi Ming was running in front while holding Xi Xing's hand tight while Xi Xing was keeping up with Xi Ming's speed, which isn't impossible.

Earlier, they were slowly walking with the silence wrapped around them and blanketing their surroundings while their eyes were vigilantly scanning their surroundings. It was when Xi Ming remembered to take out a night pearl to light their way that strange things started.

Xi Ming could remember that they had agreed with others before to night light the surroundings, since they don't know what its effect. However, how can Xi Ming bear led his younger brother around in the darkness? He is afraid something would pull Xi Xing away from him in the darkness. He is also worried Xi Xing might trip on something terrifying, i.e. a human bone. Thus, he took out a night pearl.

The light from the night pearl gave them a little sense of security as they tread in the darkness. Since their sense of hearing was absent, their other senses like sense of sight and sense of touch became more sensitive. Thus, Xi Ming suddenly froze when he saw something in the distance.

"That…" Xi Ming spoke before he paused. He remembered Xi Xing can't hear him. And so he turned and handed the night pearl to Xi Xing, making him hold the night pearl on his other hand while his hand that was held by Xi Ming, Xi Ming wrote on it using his finger. "Did you see something move on the floor?"

Xi Xing froze before he shook his head. He looked at the part of the floor that was illuminated by the night pearl before he wrote back on Xi Ming's palm using his hand Xi Ming wrote on. "Didn't. Where?" he asked.

Xi Ming was taken aback. He stared at Xi Xing before he wrote again. "I am not too sure, but I feel there is something. This place is already strange than it is, so let's be more careful. Stay closer to me." he told him.

Xi Xing nodded. Xi Ming smiled at his younger brother's obedience and he held Xi Xing's hand tight. He took back the night pearl then they resumed walking with him still in the front.

Not long after a few steps they took, Xi Ming stopped again. He wrote on Xi Xing's palm again. "Did you see it? On the pillar and the wall." He said.

This time, Xi Xing nodded as he thoughtfully looked at the color coating the pillar. There was a bulging on it, as well as on the wall, and they are moving. "Run?" this time, Xi Xing mouthed at Xi Ming.

Xi Ming nodded as he decisively pulled Xi Xing's arm and they ran! As they ran, they felt the floor is trembling. Xi Ming's eyes widened and he turned and illuminated the floor behind them. He gaped when he saw there's something bulging and moving on the floor, and it was moving towards them!

"JUMP!" he mouthed at Xi Xing. Fortunately, Xi Xing was looking at him and Xi Xing saw his gesture. There was no need to hesitate and they jumped together, just in time for the bulge on the floor to pass beneath their feet. If they didn't jump, they would have been tripped.

Or… would they be eaten? Xi Ming didn't dare think too much and pulled Xi Xing with him again to escape.

Somewhere in the underground palace of the Feng Hua Palace.

Yu Sheng stood before a cave. He didn't need to think it was any other cave, since there's only one cave in this place.

The Cave of Retribution. And inside it, at the heart of it, is the Spring of Life. He entered the cave and familiarly walked through its twists and turns before he saw, at the end of the passageway, there was a light. It was no doubt that in there, the Spring of Life.

He calmly walked down the passageway and turned, then saw there's a pool in the center. The water of the pool was glowing because it reflected the glowing creatures and plants on the ceiling and on the walls of the cave, creating a breathtaking and mystifying beautiful sight.

He approached the Spring of Life, then submerged himself in the cold water. However, he didn't absorb the power emanating from the spring. Instead, he waited.

The water surrounding his body disappeared and was replaced by lush greenery. Contrary to the Righteous Alliance's expectations, as well as everyone, the spring didn't bring Yu Sheng back to the Zhongyang. Instead, he was brought to a different place.

"I will name you 'Yu Sheng'. It was raining when you were born, so your name will be 'Yu Sheng' from now on."

Back in Zhongyang, from the moment he saw the image of the Feng Hua Palace, he felt that something is about to change. That feeling intensified when he reached the Bailong Kingdom, precisely the Feng Hua Palace. Slowly, his memories returned. When the impostors appeared, he knew they were the remnants of the soul of the cursed humans. Yu Sheng appeared on a small pond that is connected to the Spring of Life. He passed by the abundant wild and beautiful flowers and walked towards the marbled table stone filled with flowers where the person lying on it is comfortably 'sleeping'.

"Shen Qi." he called as he looked at the person 'sleeping'. Shen Qi's face slightly resembled his, but more of their mother's gentle face. "Didi…" he muttered as he caressed his younger brother's cheek. "I'm sorry I failed to protect you… but I am glad. You are now back home." He said and looked at the surface of the pond where Cheng Sheng and Fei Yin can be seen. "Cheng Sheng… no. You shouldn't be called 'Cheng Sheng'. You are Shen Qi, my younger brother." he muttered before he made a pause. "I am Shen Sheng, and you are Shen Qi. Yes – " he said as his eyes flashed and he held Shen Qi's hand tight. " – we are the children of Hui Shen; the children of a god." He told him as he held Shen Qi's pale hand, as pale and as smooth as a jade.

When Hui Shen gave birth, she gave birth to two children. The first one was successfully born, while the second one almost died because his soul was too strong for his body. Thus, Hui Shen placed Shen Qi to the independent space of the Spring of Life for Shen Qi to absorb the spring's qi for his body to become stronger. However, she didn't expect for his soul to escape and hosted the pregnant queen's child.

Hui Shen knew, for a soul of a god be placed in a mortal's body, that child will suffer a tragic death. She was distressed, but she cannot change what already happened. Thus, she focused on her older son.

She originally planned to raise him, but the humans are planning to kill her. Thus, she gave her older son to Hei Shen for Hei Shen to teach him how to protect himself while she had Bai Shen look after her younger son's body in the independent space of the Spring of Life. She delayed her time of death; she waited until her children grew. Even though she knew her second son will live after his soul separated from the mortal body when the mortal body died, but she didn't expect for something to happen.

Shen Qi, who was Cheng Sheng as a mortal, died. She waited for Shen Qi's soul to return, but she suddenly felt Shen Qi's soul left the world. Not long after that and Yu Sheng's soul followed. She tried to look for her children's souls, but she was intercepted by the humans. Then, she died. She died without reuniting with her children.

"I already promised you. I will protect you." Yu Sheng told Shen Qi. "However, since there was nothing left on this land, I'll bring you with me to another world. That world is livelier than this world, and there are many interesting people living there. Also, you have a sister-in-law. He is male, so he should be called brother-in-law. But, he is shy, so he always looked mad." He chuckled when he remembered Zuo Zhe. Then, he continued to tell Shen Qi stories, starting from when they were born, until they crossed the time and space – in short, the worlds.

Meanwhile Cheng Sheng, Fei Yin, and the other contestants are facing life and death.
