"'killing intent'?" they exclaimed after they heard what Cheng Sheng told them.

"En." Cheng Sheng nodded. "Da shixiong and I have been running all over the place since I felt a killing intent directed to me. And as we neared this place, the killing intent subsided until is disappeared. We have been hiding here since then, and then heard from the other side of the wall the Zunjingde Sect arriving with Qian Lin. Then, your group arrived not long after…" he explained.

"So you didn't appear earlier because you think that it might be the other contestants wanting to kill you?" Chen Han asked.

"En." Cheng Sheng nodded. "I am obnoxious enough to warrant their killing intent." He said in a casual tone.

Chen Han and the others. "…" so, you are self-aware…

Cheng Sheng has seen through their thoughts and so he looked away to ignore it. "I suspected Kang Ce, but then I dropped the thought when I saw he didn't fight you after you infuriated him, along with the others." He said and looked at Sun Yi and Feng Mo.

Feng Mo awkwardly smiled while Sun Yi just grinned.

"Kang Ce may be ill-tempered, but not all ill-tempered people would kill someone unless there are innately bloodthirsty." Cheng Sheng said.

They all nodded in agreement. They have seen Shu Mu being ill-tempered before, but not to the point he is murderous.

"Then, who could it be?" Li Tian worriedly asked.

"I don't know." Cheng Sheng honestly answered as he shook his head. "However, since the other contestants have already left, we can now leave peacefully." He said and then walked inside the cave.

They all looked at each other and nodded before they followed Cheng Sheng.

Yu Sheng smiled when he saw the Xinfaxian Sect along with Chen Han and Sun Yi finally entered the Cave of Retribution. The Zunjingde Sect, Qian Lin, the Shanliangde Sect, Wu Xi, the Huakai Sect and Kang Ce had already entered the Spring of Life and then was sent back to the other world.

All that was left is Cheng Sheng's group.

"Shen Qi." He called as he turned to his younger brother. "Soon, the soul which is rightfully yours will return to your body. Then, you will finally become complete." He told him and smiled as he rose from his seat and then walked down the pathway leading to the Spring of Life.

It's now time to take things back to where they rightfully belong.

"The Spring of Life!" Feng Mo exclaimed when they finally found the Spring of Life.

"It's so beautiful…!" Li Tian muttered under his breath as he looked at the spring on the foot of the tree.

The vines of the tree were touching the surface of the spring. They are glowing because of the qi they absorbed from the spring. Even the abundant leaves of the tree, and its healthy trunk and branches are also glowing as the qi ran through the tree's tissues, all throughout its body.

Cheng Sheng sighed in relief before he smiled. They finally reached the end! "Let's g – " he spoke when he suddenly felt something cold pierced his stomach from behind. His pupils shrank and his eyes widened in disbelief as he stared hard at the surface of the spring where the figure of the person behind him was reflected.

Since the spring is too bright because it was glowing, the others didn't notice the figure's reflection.

"SHENG!" Fei Yin's shout alerted the others of what had happened.

They all abruptly turned and were both shocked and horrified by what they have seen. "Ah Sheng/Cheng-shidi!" they all cried when they saw Cheng Sheng's clothes was soaked in red and a sword pierced through his stomach. Then, their gaze fell behind Cheng Sheng. "Yu Sheng?!" their jaw dropped when they saw the person who had gone missing before.

"Yu Sheng!" Fei Yin roared as he drew his sword and glared murderously at Yu Sheng whose sword was still on Cheng Sheng's stomach, making Cheng Sheng spat out a mouthful of blood. His face paled fast which is visible to the naked eye. "What the hell are you doing?!" he asked. He didn't dare carelessly attack Yu Sheng since he was afraid Yu Sheng might split Cheng Sheng into two!

Chen Han and Sun Yi also think so. "Yu Sheng!" they called, their voice laced with anger as they drew their sword. They knew Yu Sheng's skill, and if Yu Sheng really had an intention to kill Cheng Sheng, he would've done so and not just secretly backstab him.

"Yu-ge?!" Li Tian and Feng Mo were bewildered by Yu Sheng's action.

Yet, Yu Sheng didn't answer.

Cheng Sheng gasped when he suddenly felt his strength was leaving his body, and he knew it was from the sword. His eyes narrowed and his brows knit as he decisively grabbed the blade of the sword behind him, ignoring his hand bleeding, then pulled the sword out of his body! "Gah!" he coughed out another mouthful of blood and he collapsed on the ground.

"Sheng!" Fei Yin called and finally moved to attack Yu Sheng.

Chen Han and Sun Yi followed while Li Tian and Feng Mo who had finally reacted immediately took Cheng Sheng away and made him lean on the wall of the cave. "Cheng-shidi!" they anxiously called as they fed Cheng Sheng with magic pills and potions, then giving him qi. However, what they expected for the bleeding to stop and the wound to close didn't happen. "No way!" they exclaimed.

"What happened?!" Chen Han turned, only for Yu Sheng to kick him. "Ugh!" he cried as he flew and hit the wall.

"Chen Han!" Li Tian called as he ran to Chen Han to save him.

Sun Yi's eyes narrowed when he suddenly felt something was off. "You were really hiding your strength, huh?" he said as he started to increase his attacks.

Yu Sheng just chuckled.

"Tch!" Fei Yin clicked his tongue as he sent a punch to Yu Sheng, only for Yu Sheng to dodge and return him a kick, but Fei Yin already anticipated it and so Fei Yin, who unexpectedly didn't retreat, swung his sword towards Yu Sheng, instead!

With Sun Yi relentlessly pressing him in one side, and Fei Yin attacking him with a fast attack in the other side, Yu Sheng was forced to retreat. However, he didn't give them all a chance to react with his next act.

Yu Sheng flashed before their eyes and grabbed Cheng Sheng from Feng Mo's hands, then flashed to the other side of the cave. Before any of them could move, Yu Sheng swung his arm. With a flatter of his sleeve, they were all met with a strong gale and fell on the spring!
