If not for Cheng Sheng, Zheng Fu Gong would have already fallen under his hands. That's why he manipulated the Cleansing Stones given to the contestants. He knew, with Cheng Sheng's intelligence, Cheng Sheng would find out the trick he placed in the Cleansing Stones and destroy the Cleansing Stones. And so, as he expected, Cheng Sheng destroyed the Cleansing Stones, and urged the other contestants to do likewise. The moment all the contestants disappeared, he led the demonic cultivators in the capital. He and Su Yuan being punished by Zheng Fu Gong was convenient, since it made things for him, Qi Ling, to be convenient – controlling everyone.

He had planned to pin all these things on Cheng Sheng's head. After all of the Alliance fall in his hands, he can do anything he wants. He can capture Cheng Sheng by controlling Zheng Fu Gong and the other elders. He doesn't care about Pai Lie, since he can suppress him through Su Yuan and Jing Xian and lock him up, creating an excuse for him that he has fallen ill, which he can also use as another excuse to vilify Cheng Sheng.

However, he didn't expect for Cheng Sheng still leave everyone a means to escape – the array protecting the Yunxiao Inn. It became everyone's safe haven. His control over Zheng Fu Gong has been delayed and Zheng Yi, who's supposed to die to act as a catalyst for Zheng Fu Gong's fall, lived after they sought refuge in the Yunxiao Inn.

And now, he lost his control over Su Yuan and Jing Xian. With all these happening, his betrayal has been brought to light! He will die!

Cheng Shu has watched everything from the roof of the Righteous Alliance. "It seems like your bishop is about to fall apart." He told the man behind him, wearing a conical hat and looked like a beggar.

"A chess piece that's of no use anymore should be abandoned." The beggar told him.

Cheng Shu doesn't want to see more of Qi Ling's breakdown and turned to the beggar. "You won't kill him?" he asked.

"He still has one use left." The beggar said. "His desire to live is stronger than anyone else. He will do everything to live. When the time comes he faced off with Cheng Sheng, they can kill each other." He explained.

Cheng Shu heard his explanation and it was logical so he didn't pursue the matter further. "Where are you headed to, now?" he asked.

"… I have something troublesome with me." The beggar answered.

"Your Excellency has something you find troublesome with?" Cheng Shu asked with surprise.

"En. Someone more powerful than me, so I can't escape from them." The beggar answered. "'He' has already arrived." He suddenly said.

Cheng Shu's expression changed. He knew who the 'he' the beggar is referring to: Cheng Sheng. So, he finally returned, huh? He thought as his eyes narrowed. A grin formed on his lips.

The beggar saw Cheng Shu's smile and felt his killing intent. Cheng Shu is his another chess piece, and obviously more useful and powerful than Qi Ling.

Remembering Qi Ling, he looked at him below them. Qi Ling is a soul he brought in this world. He is a transmigrator, and he had given him a task to eliminate Cheng Sheng. Qi Ling could purposefully just directly kill Cheng Sheng, but since he had specifically chosen Qi Ling, Qi Ling definitely has a redeeming quality in him.

Bai Shen turned and smiled. "Did you go somewhere to create another mischief?" he asked.

The beggar rolled his eyes at him.

Shanliangde Sect, Shanliang, North.

"SHIFU!" Gong Xian called and jumped over Ho Yue.

"WOAH!" Ho Yue exclaimed and they both fell on the ground. My disciple is like a big dog! He helplessly sighed as he rubbed Gong Xian's head.

"Elder Ho." Xi Ming called and bowed. Xi Xing followed. They had just arrived in the Shanliang.

Ho Yue smiled as Gong Xian carefully helped him up. "The disciples in the tower have already seen you, thus they notified us. How was your journey from the Xinfaxian?" he asked as they walked back to the sect after he successfully fetched them.

"We've met the demonic cultivators that tried to intercept us. Fortunately, our injuries from the secret dimension have healed and our cultivation increased after we passed through the Spring of Life." Xi Ming explained and looked at Xi Xing who was walking normally now after his leg was healed.

Ho Yue smiled in relief. He can feel the brimming power from the young men before him. "Sect leader Fei will definitely be proud." He told them.

"Thank you, elder Ho." Xi Ming bowed. "May I ask how are Xi Ning and Xi Shi, along with our fellow disciples that had come with us in the Zhongyang?" he asked.

"Fortunately, elder Fei and elder Xi were there. They used Cheng Sheng's array in the Yunxiao Inn to go to Xinfaxian Sect, where there's an array from there going to the Shanliangde Sect which elder Fei remembered Cheng Sheng, Fei Yin, sect leader Xie, former sect leader Wu and the Chen patriarch once used when their group went to Shanliang in search of former sect leader Wu who was saved by Mu Jun." he explained.

Although they didn't understand that much the situation Ho Yue explained, but they were relieved to hear that an array was used. If a large group like the Shanliangde Sect travelled, along with Xi Ning and Xi Shi, even if Fei Lin and Xi Ling were to protect them, it would still be hard for them two to conserve everyone's life.

There's be one or two lives that are bound to be lost if that happened, since they are all facing a bitter battle right now.
