"Cheng Sheng!" Yu Sheng cried in panic as he immediately pulled him and casted another Calming Spell on Cheng Sheng. Yu Sheng didn't say anything and just patted Cheng Sheng's back. "That day, before the day of the fourth stage of the Intersect Competition, he called me." He said. "Before I begin, do you remember him telling you about his past?" he asked.

"It's about Sheng." Fei Yin answered.

Sheng's real name is Shen Qi, and he is one of the twin sons of Hui Shen, a god. The other twin son is you, Yu Sheng. Your real name is Shen Yu." He said.

Fei Yin continued. "Various circumstances happened leading to Sheng's soul transmigrating to the Bailong Prince's fetal body. Yu Sheng calmly returned his gaze.

However, in Zuo Zhe's world, this is just a form of entertainment, and there are thousands of novels more that are crueler than your world's novel, and this world's." Fei Yin said. "Zuo Zhe doesn't know the things he is writing come true, thus he continued to write. The more miserable the characters, which are you and Sheng, lead their life, the greater the pleasure the readers feel. Thus, Zuo Zhe continues to write." He explained.

"I don't need to hear more about this part." Yu Sheng coldly said.

Fei Yin indeed stopped talking about Zuo Zhe. "These worlds from a novel were being supervised by the Ten Thousand Dimensions. And it is them… no. its Lord is who pulled Sheng's soul out of your world." He told him. "He is called the Devourer. He devours the soul of the characters that died in their world. "Then how did His Highness' soul escape?" Yu Sheng asked.

"You're not telling me you're their subordinate and happened to know your boss's secret, do you?" Yu Sheng asked.

"No." Fei Yin answered. "I am not a subordinate of the Thousand Dimensions." Before Yu Sheng could speak, he spoke. "I am the Lord himself, Lord Yin." He told him.

"However, the Devourer… he is a part of myself. The Devourer only later appeared. I am the Keeper. The Devourer was the product of myself being contaminated by the negative energy from these worlds." Fei Yin explained. "The Devourer, if you call it, is the negative side of myself."

"Was he the reason why you lost your memories?" Yu Sheng asked. He is a smart person. "He was eating souls to fight against you and you… lost. You were kicked out by him in your body." He said.

Fei Yin wryly smiled. "That was true." He admitted it. "He noticed Sheng's soul, and wanted to devour it. I gradually lose my control over my body as his strength grew. He smiled softly when he remembered the memories he and Cheng Sheng shared with each other.

Yu Sheng stared at Fei Yin looking smitten. "Then… why did you call me here?" he asked. "Shouldn't you call His Highness?" he asked.

Hearing his question, Fei Yin's smile disappeared. "I… think Sheng will hate me." He said.

"You should know him more than me. He wouldn't hate you."

Fei Yin shook his head. "I trust Sheng wouldn't. But I don't trust myself." He said and raised his hand to stun Yu Sheng who was caught off-guard. "I hated myself, the Devourer who's a part of me. Please take care of Sheng. And tell him I will definitely come back."
