Jing Hei doesn't know how to describe it, but he thinks that Jing Cheng's face became darker than usual after Cheng Sheng told Jing Cheng something. He didn't think about it too much, since he is still worried for Qian Lin.

"The demonic poison is like a heart demon. The Spring of Life can cure a heart demon, but sometimes not. It depends on the gravity of the heart demon, and, in sect leader Jing's case, the demonic poison." Cheng Sheng explained. "Thus, the cure might not be a cure at all, but instead become another poison to add to the existing poison." He told him.

Jing Cheng sucked in a cold breath.

"The key here is, his tenacity." Cheng Sheng said. "You might have heard about Qie Shi. He has been poisoned by the demonic poison before, and his condition at that time is far graver than sect leader Jing's." he took out a bottle of magic pills. "I have fed him Cleansing Meridian Pills, but it is only a temporary solution." He said. "It only suppresses the demonic poison, and can alleviate the patient's condition. As expected, Jing Cheng's expression darkened.

"I drank it. Jing Bai, Jing Hei and Jing Kang, too. We drank it to save our lives during our travel from the East to here." Jing Cheng answered.

Everyone thought that Jing Cheng exchanged half of his life for Jing Rui's life thus Jing Rui recovered while Jing Cheng ended up looking like that. However, the real reason is that after having sex for four straight days, Jing Rui can't take Jing Cheng's vigor anymore and kicked him off the bed. Jing Cheng was about to coax Jing Rui, but Jing Rui didn't relent. Then, remembering Cheng Sheng's warning, Jing Cheng could only stop.

So… it's indirectly Cheng Sheng's fault, but the blame isn't his to carry, and neither Jing Rui. It's Jing Cheng. He only has himself to blame for being unrestrained. Fortunately, Jing Rui had fully recovered before he kicked Jing Cheng out of the bed.

When Cheng Sheng met them, Cheng Sheng's expression turned strange for a moment before he greeted them. Jing Rui is very grateful to Cheng Sheng, and so he gave him gifts, to which Cheng Sheng politely refused. Jing Rui could only sigh and thank Cheng Sheng again.

"He has changed so much." Jing Rui said as they watched Cheng Sheng disappear in the array.

Jing Cheng nodded. Before, Cheng Sheng would take advantage of everyone's misfortune. However, right now, they suddenly saw him in a new light. Or is it that, this is Cheng Sheng's true self and what they have seen before is just his mask?

Whatever the reason is, the result is good. "How is Jing Hei?" Jing Rui asked when they saw Jing Hei was gazing out the window and looking at the sky.

"Not good. Even I, Jing Bai and Jing Kang, we are worried about Qian Lin." Jing Cheng said.

After they had split up in Xinfaxian Sect, Qian Lin insisted to travel South despite Jing Hei's disapprovals. In the end, Jing Hei got angry and left. Qian Lin didn't speak anymore and started flying South. Both sides have their own problems to solve.

But, Jing Hei wasn't angry for real. Just sincerely worried for Qian Lin.
