The remaining four demonic emperors were given pause.

It seemed like Wu Yu would be hard to deal with. He was able to dodge them almost perfectly despite the space constraints on the white jade platform.

And he would pounce on the slightest opening and end one of them.

None of the remaining four wanted to end up like Unending Crepuscular Sea, sacrificed to the immortal kernels raging around them. And now that they were on the brink of rising to eternal demon emperor, they wanted to live more than anyone else.

"How about a ceasefire?" Celestial Meteor suggested coolly. He knew that continuing the battle was not useful.

As for Wu Yu, he had risked himself much and taken heavy injuries. And every single instant of the fight had demanded perfect precision and control. The slightest slip up and he would have been dead.

Therefore, he nodded. "I agree to the ceasefire. Whoever attacks, beware the same fate as Unending Demonic Emperor."

He again reminded them of the consequences. In truth, he himself was rather shaken. If not for Unending Crepuscular Sea's own carelessness, Wu Yu would probably be dead, attacked by the five.

But now, he had won some breathing space. They were scared.

Both sides calmed down and stopped attacking.

The four demonic emperors were discussing amongst themselves, and Wu Yu could hear their words as well.

Perpetual World Tree said: "We don't know what the use of the bronze pendants are yet. And without Unending Demonic Emperor, the seal on it will be hard to lift. We might have difficulties using it when it comes to it."

Dignified Lava Beast rumbled: "No matter, leave it aside for now. Let's talk about how to get out of the white jade platform."

They made no effort to hide the conversation from Wu Yu. They had to let him know about this information. After all, he still held one bronze pendant with him, and the cooperation of both sides would be needed when the time came.

Just as they said this, they felt a shuddering underfoot. The white jade platform began to move!

Originally it had stood still within the tempest of elements. But now it began to head in one direction.

The immortal kernels opened up a path for the white jade platform to move through, the only oasis of calm in the destruction.

None of its passengers knew where it was heading.

Suddenly, a black figure flew in from outside the white jade platform, landing in the middle of the white jade platform.

"Eh?" Wu Yu perked up. Someone flying in from outside was incredibly suspicious. Although the figure appeared human, it reeked of demon, and was definitely a demon immortal.

From under its black armor, plum-colored skin showed. Its face was obscured by black mist, but purple eyes glowed from within, a spooky sight framed by mist.

"It's a corpse puppet." Wu Yu immediately recalled. He had defeated it back at Ancient Demon Realm in order to obtain the bronze pendant.

However, the corpse puppet back then was nothing compared to this one.

Wu Yu could sense that this corpse puppet was made from the body of an eternal demon emperor, and retained a large portion of its former strength!

All four demonic emperors and Wu Yu were still at the Great Void Immortal Realm. Even at the peak of that realm, they were far from an eternal demon emperor. It was possible that all of them together would not be able to deal with this corpse puppet.

Also, the corpse puppet had immediately turned a frenzied attack on Wu Yu from the moment it landed on the white jade platform.

Wu Yu had only just recognized the powerful eternal demon emperor aura and its identity as a corpse puppet, and he was already under attack. Besides, the puppet attacked with only sheer physical brute force.

Wu Yu sensed that it had chosen the nearest target, and was not just singling him out.

"So strong!"

It was just one aspect, but its physical strength completely eclipsed Wu Yu's, and sent him flying!

He narrowly managed a recovery at the edge of the white jade platform, pulling out Fulgurating Shadows at the last instance to return back to the white jade platform.

However, Wu Yu would definitely not clash hard against this corpse puppet again.

He turned and rushed towards the demonic emperors.

When the corpse puppet had been attacking Wu Yu, they had all watched indifferently from the sidelines. But now that Wu Yu had lured the corpse puppet over, they had become the targets.

All four demonic emperors started to swear and curse. But they would have to deal with the corpse puppet nonetheless.

This eternal demon emperor corpse puppet had no heavenly rule power to speak of, but overwhelming physical strength. Although it fought with simple moves like an ordinary martial warrior, but it was enough to send the demonic emperors fleeing wretchedly. They did not dare receive even a single blow.

They had seen what happened to Wu Yu. If the corpse puppet managed to hit just one of them, they would probably be sent flying out of the white jade platform.

While the corpse puppet was attacking the demonic emperors, Wu Yu observed the corpse puppet's movements. He noted that they were very simple.

However, it was the superhuman strength, which surpassed even Wu Yu's own Invincible Vajra Body. Brute force elevated the deadliness of its moves beyond what a Great Void Immortal Realm cultivator could handle.

No matter where the demonic emperors went, the corpse puppet was sure to follow. Punches and clawing - each was a fatal attack that the demonic emperors did not dare dismiss.

Even if it was four on one, the corpse puppet was beating them all back. Each was in a precarious position, in danger of being knocked off the white jade platform at any time.

"Kid, we'll take this thing down together!" Olden Demonic Emperor shouted. The tremor in his voice was obvious, and he wanted Wu Yu to chip in as well.

But Wu Yu did not move. It was not yet a good time.

Wu Yu focused on dodging the corpse puppet, making it continually target the four demonic emperors. They made up too big a target to turn its attentions to Wu Yu instead.

As for Wu Jun, he was still hiding in the Floating Dreams Pagoda.

The four demonic emperors continued to throw heavenly rule powers at the corpse puppet. The unfortunate target of the corpse puppet would focus on running, while the others would sling attacks. Despite this, the black armor of the corpse puppet was completely pristine.

They despaired.

Despite their relentless assault, the four demonic emperors all sustained injuries. The slightest blow from the corpse puppet was enough to deal them a severe wound. After some time, they were down to half their strength.

Judging the time about right, Wu Yu brought Wu Jun out of the Floating Dreams Pagoda.

With the six joining forces, they laid down a storm of pain on the corpse puppet!

Wu Yu entering the fray was purely for his own interests. If the four demonic emperors died, then he would be next on the chopping block. Besides, they still held on to one bronze pendant.

Which would be lost forever outside of the white jade platform.

Ultimately, he had to fight with them and beat the corpse puppet back. However, Wu Yu was happy to wait until they were all injured before he attacked, so that they would be more pliable in the future.

Finally, the corpse puppet had more than it could handle.

Although their heavenly rule powers did not individually have much effect, but the constant and concerted barrage finally overwhelmed the corpse puppet, sending it flying into the storm of immortal kernels, where the elements dealt with it.

They could see that the corpse puppet had not been destroyed by the immortal kernels, but was instead carried further and further away, until it vanished from sight.

This confirmed Wu Yu's suspicions that the corpse puppet was part of the Eternal Emperor Tomb, just like Graveguarding Palace itself. He still had no idea who made it, or what their purpose was.

As the corpse puppet was sent flying, they finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Wu Yu and Wu Jun hung out on one side, while the four demonic emperors desperately tried to recover as best as they could. They could not possibly fight Wu Yu now.

They were furious about Wu Yu's actions.

If he had fought a little earlier, they would not have been hurt so badly. However, they too understood why he had done it. The corpse puppet dealt with, and his rivals injured. It was definitely advantageous for Wu Yu.

The white jade platform continued on its path forwards, towards more unknown dangers.
