Chapter 229, Tianyu’s Strongest, Invincible Scamp
Taking slow steps back, Zhuo Fan’s cold eyes stared at the kid, “Little brother, I won’t take you for an ignorant child since you’re a Radiant Stage expert. Are you going to force me into servitude?”
“He-he-he, pillagers belong in prison, so it’s only fitting they do some community service for a bit.”
“But that was done by those four. What’s it got to do with me?”
“Birds of a feather flock together! Since you’re on the same side as them, then you’re no better. A little punishment is only natural!”
Squinting, Zhuo Fan eyed that naive smile on the child, and grew angry, “You can’t go back once you started things. I do not like hitting children but if…”
“Eh, want to hit me? Ha-ha-ha, good. But let me warn you. I have no wish to kill you so I will give you all ten chances to challenge me! If you can win just once, I’ll let you all go!” The kid hooked his finger and beamed.
Zhuo Fan walked back to Li Jingtian but his eyes were more and more serious as he watched the kid.
He may be in the 2nd layer of Radiant Stage, but the kid was as calm as ever even in the face of four people one layer stronger and another, four layer stronger. He was confident in his victory.
And how the Four Scheming Demons were so scared of him, his power couldn’t be judged based on his low cultivation.
Zhuo Fan whispered to the four demons, “How is his power? Is he strong, weak?”
The four demons looked at each other and Violent Demon said cautiously, “He is very strong, but still not able to beat me. The fact is, this kid is very sharp, picking the weakness of our Four Hearts Formation with one look. How else could he defeat us?”
Zhuo Fan nodded, [I see. How else could the four enter servitude if not having their unity tactic crushed?]
But to be sure, Zhuo Fan gave Li Jingtian a signal, “Elder Li, you have to go all out on the kid. Hold nothing back. You have to kill him, and with how odd this kid is, the four demons’ words can’t be trusted either. We can’t afford to lose because of them!”
Li Jingtian nodded, bloodthirst setting into his gaze.
He suddenly roared and released billowing black energy. His immense power made the sky and earth tremble alike.

The Four Scheming Demons were able to confuse Li Jingtian thanks to their Four Hearts Formation, stopping him from releasing his full might. They now realized how terrifying Li Jingtian was.
If Li Jingtian had gone all out from the start, Violent Demon would’ve been long dead, in one move even. This would ultimately prevent the four brothers from using Four Hearts Formation.
The four united could break steel, while scattered were like grass!
But the kid was still sitting on that rock with arms crossed and unafraid. Not one change in his expression was seen. This made Zhuo Fan frown, [Is he faking it or truly belittling Li Jingtian?]
If it were the latter, the kid’s power had to be huge.
“Wraith Style, 1st move, Soaring Demonic Dragon!”
Roar!
With a dragon roar, Li Jingtian shot at the kid, surrounded by a black dragon image baring its fangs and claws, ready to rip him to pieces.
Explosions were heard with every step he took, even from the air. It seemed as if the space couldn’t hold his power. The rocks around him were pulverized as well!
“So strong!”
Even Zhuo Fan admired Li Jingtian. This martial fanatic was a true fit for Wraith Art. Its power was displayed fully in the hands of this man, showing shocking phenomenons.
But the bad feeling never left Zhuo Fan. The kid was just too calm, not putting Li Jingtian in his eyes.
[What’s going on? Even a peak Radiant Stage would show some reaction. But the kid…]
Yawning just as Li Jingtian got to him, the kid’s reaction to this expert’s incredible display of power was to extend a hand.
Pff!
A groan had everyone watch slackjawed. Li Jingtian’s mighty power was stopped as simple as that, by a boy’s hand.
The black dragon image threw a fit behind Li Jingtian, wanting to break out of its shackles, but the kid had the dragon powerless under his thin arm.
Even the world started taking different hues.
On one side, Li Jingtian’s power was still going strong, causing a veritable storm to blow over, while on the other, there was only peace and serenity behind the boy. Even sunshine warmed the gentle nature. The black dragon’s onslaught held no sway here.
“How is this… possible?” Zhuo Fan watched agape. This may very well be the very first time someone thoroughly shocked him.
Li Jingtian was sweating buckets, doing his damndest in getting out of this child’s hold.

It was the same as a crazed bull meeting a hundred meter tall cliff. Regardless of the raw power it had, it couldn’t budge the cliff one inch.
The kid grinned, “First attempt!”
The kid grabbed Li Jingtian’s arm and just threw him.
Boom!
A huge rock was blown to rubble. Zhuo Fan and the four demons were shocked and jumped in the air.
Once the dust settled, the view made them gasp.
The huge rock was flattened in an instant, and Li Jingtian struggled to crawl from beneath the rubble. He spat blood and fear crept into his gaze.
Only he who met the kid head on knew the dread he instilled.
In front of the weird kid’s eyes, he looked like a baby, easy to kill as if lifting a finger. This was his first time ever Mad Dipper experienced such powerlessness.
Zhuo Fan and the others were watching bug-eyed in fear and shock. None saw it coming, that a pup had such insane amount of power. Not even in the Sacred Domain Zhuo Fan saw such freaks.
Li Jingtian was in the 6th layer of Radiant Stage and a body cultivator genius while using a profound ranked martial art. He had enough power to face a peak Radiant Stage expert. But today, before a mere boy in the 2nd layer of Radiant Stage, he was powerless.
The kid didn’t use any kind of martial art, only the power of his hand to topple and throw Li Jingtian.
[What kind of freaky power is this?]
Zhuo Fan paled, watching the air with a blank mind. There, the kid happily sat in mid-air, “With the mountain ruined, I’ll be waiting for you on that peak. Don’t forget, three days. Oh, and your ten ingredients?”
Zhuo Fan wiped his brow, shivering as he took the ingredients for the boy. The kid was delighted as he took them, “You’re not bad, kiddio. The more ingredients you find, the Invincible Scamp, Gu Santong, will reward you heavily!”
Then he vanished into thin air.
Zhuo Fan bobbed his head on and on, and only after hitting his chest did the shivering stopped. He sighed, “God, that monster is insanely powerful!”
“S-Steward Zhuo, who did he say he was?” The wounded Li Jingtian swayed in his flight to Zhuo Fan. His eyes were incredulous.
Zhuo Fan frowned, “He seemed to have called himself, Invincible Scamp, Gu Santong! What, you know him Elder Li?”
“Holy mother of god! No wonder I lost so miserably! Of all the rotten luck, why did I have to meet that devil? How could I be so blind!” Li Jingtian slapped his head, regretting so much he was close to tears.
Zhuo Fan asked hurriedly, “Just who is this Gu Santong?”
“Hi-hi-hi, for Steward Zhuo to not know even the likes of Invincible Scamp Gu Santong, you must be dumber than a rock!” A creepy snicker came from behind Zhuo Fan.
Zhuo Fan’s temple popped a vein, his mouth twitched and glared at the four demons, “You knew who he was and what he was capable of, didn’t you?”
“Damn right we knew. We are demonic heroes, knowing all the experts in Tianyu! With how renown this devil is, how couldn’t we recognize him? You think everyone’s a bonehead like you?” Violent Demon snickered and laughed at the two’s misfortune.
Zhuo Fan tightened his fists and cooled his anger, “Then, did you make us come here on purpose, and face that devil? Moreover, that bet was fake, right?”
“Hi-hi-hi, of course! We are demonic heroes, never done a good thing in our lives. We were so angry when that devil suppressed us and had no way to vent. But got you to join in too, and seeing you suffer brings a tear of joy in my eyes! And have you ever seen a demonic cultivator holding one’s end of a bet? You got served, ha-ha-ha…”
The Four Scheming Demons danced in joy and made a mockery out of Zhuo Fan.
Zhuo Fan popped another vein, red from anger. Never thought the clever him, the cunning him, would be had by a bunch of schmucks. [God damn it!]
Ka!
Zhuo Fan’s finger moved and made a sign. The four were now sporting bloody marks on their forehead, wailing on the ground from pain and begging for mercy.
But Zhuo Fan held no pity for them. [If I don’t put these little shits in their place, they’ll be the death of me!]
Li Jingtian watched the four’s pain in silence.

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.

Infracto Animo
Pain. Lies. Betrayal. Deceit. Struggles. Sufferings. Humans are an Embodiment of Sin. They Lie, Cheat, Steal, Kill, Threaten, Rape, Betray, and Blackmail. All of this in order to sate their Greed, their Lust, their Envy, their Wrath, their Laziness, their Gluttony and their Pride. As such, Humans go to incredible lengths to achieve their goals. This reaches the point where it can be called "Inhumane". But if Humans are an Embodiment of Sin, is there really such a thing called "Inhumane"? They say "God created us all equal." and "We are equal in God's eyes." yet why are there many people who are poor, sickly and deformed. Did they do something to be punished as such? Even before they were born? Is there really such a thing called "Equality"? Is there really such a thing called "Peace"? Is there really such a thing called "God"? This is a story about the pain, struggles and sufferings of a man bound in a loop of never ending hatred and betrayal. Will he break the loop and end his ordeals? Or will he accept his fate and accept the loop? Light and Dark; Good and Bad; Angels and Demons; Abyss or Utopia. What will the man choose? Succumb to Darkness or reach out towards the Light. Now his story begins... This story is pretty grim and depressing with vivid violence (gore on the later part). Sexual content is included but I don't plan on making this an ero-novel so it will just involve rape and (not-so)normal intercourse. MC starts normal and simple then turns anti-hero but... well, let's just say he won't stay that way but he also won't be a "good guy". Just a HEADS UP, I am not into satanism or cults or anti-christ but some themes and dialogues here are related to demons and stuff like that so to those who will read this, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. This story is a fictional novel by which is created by the author's own words and thoughts. Any person, circumstances or happenings that are written here is purely fictional and does not relate to anything that might coincide with the plot settings and characters of this story. This story is the manifestation of the author's (my) own understanding of pain, deceit, struggles, betrayal and suffering but it does not represent the author's (my) own experiences in life.

A World Forgotten
***This story will contain lite-litrpg elements, mainly character pages and a town page. There will also be settlement building and adventuring, missteps and achievements. But one thing it definitely won’t have is a harem. Nor will it have an overpowered MC. Contains mild cursing.*** ***feel free to critique my writing and offer input. This is my first venture into writing. I've always enjoyed litrpg/gamelit books. I feel like I write how I talk, so it may be a little different. You won't hurt my feelings if you see something wrong or out of place! *** ***What follows is a condensed part of chapter 1. Enjoy!*** Drew Cooper is thrust into a new, unfamiliar world. Waking up in his sweats and t-shirt near what seems to be a forgotten path through some woods, he struggles coming to terms that he's no longer in his apartment. As he tries to cope with his new reality, he hears a horse coming down the path. He hides behind a nearby tree dreading what may happen next. As the horse approaches, he sees a man walking next to it. The horse is burdened with packs and gear. When the man nears, Drew nearly panics. He has a large sword strapped to his waist, obviously a fighter. He continues to hide as the man slowly passes only for the man to stop a dozen meters past his hiding spot. "You may as well come out, ya know. You weren't as well hidden as you thought," the man stated matter-of-factly, letting the horse’s reins go and putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. Slowly and scared for his life, Drew raised up and walked from behind the tree. "I-I'm sorry. I wasn't planning on attacking you. I-I don't know where I am. I heard your horse and hid. I didn't know what you'd do if you saw me. I'm sorry," he nervously blurted out. A minute passed. Then two. The man seemed interested with Drew and stepped closer, eyes squinting as if trying to see something. "What's that on your shirt? Is that. What is that? Is that, Pac-man?" The man was visibly shaken while pointing at me. Looking down at his t-shirt nervously, "Yea. Yea. I woke up here a few hours ago I think. 3 maybe 4 hours. I’ve just been sitting here. Where am I? What's going on?" Drew asked. "That's not important right now," the man replied. " What's important is where you're from. What year is it?" "What year? April something 2020. Why? What's going on?" Drew continued now worried. The man was taken aback. After a few moments, he seemed to calm himself some. The man sighed and looked at Drew in earnest. "Well, I've got good news and bad news for ya. Bad news is you're not on Earth anymore. Good news is you happened to run into me and not someone else. You’re either really lucky, or it’s fate we met in these woods, and I don’t believe in luck." The man continued to walk towards Drew while talking and put out his hand. "I'm John Mitchell from St. Louis or thereabouts. You’ve got nothing to be scared of by me. Walk with me and let’s talk."
