Divine Emperor Of Death Chapter 1201

Davis nodded his head to her nod. As long as she understood that she did not need to feel guilty about it, it sufficed for him. He let her go as he tried to stand up but felt dizzy before losing his balance. He ended up falling on her, his face burrowing on her two lovely bosoms.
"Ahh~" Sophie let out a surprised moan.
It was not known whether this lucky chance was intentional or not, but Davis instantly decided, "Let me stay like this for a while..."
He took this chance and wrapped his arms around her and embraced her while Sophie's cheeks became crimson by the second as even her ears apparently became red. However, feeling that Davis wasn't doing anything suspicious, she calmed down as her rapidly pounding heart began to slow down.
Sophie didn't know what to do, but his face that had buried in her bosoms felt ticklish to her, making her feel some kind of strange pleasure. She bit her lips before slowly and lightly embracing his head with her arms, running her fingers through his blonde hair, feeling that she was holding a big baby,
For some reason, she felt more than pleasurable on her cleavage, making her confused, but since it felt pleasing, she ignored it as she closed her eyes, feeling that she should treasure these few moments.
Davis had his eyes closed as he took a deep breath. Her fragrance made him feel good as it made his headache fade a bit. It looks like his sense of smell returned, but that wasn't the point as he still wanted to feel the softness of her bosoms.
Unfortunately, he still felt numb.
While thinking all this, he constantly healed his soul essence using the life-like energy. The point of healing was near his forehead since that was where the soul sea was present, and that was why Sophie also felt strangely pleasurable at her bosoms where his head lay.
'Mhmm... If I recall correctly, my soul essence had healed up to ninety-seven percent from the time I split thirty percent of my soul apart to create the Solitary Soul Avatar. From that moment, no matter how I tried with my life-like energy, it became impossible for me to heal the remaining three percent as if the gap was too far.'
'Perhaps it would require months, a year or more to heal the remaining three percent, or the life-like energy is not capable of restoring my soul essence completely. If it was the former, I don't have time to do that either, causing me to only recover till ninety-seven percent of my soul essence.'

'Taking down all the Mid-Level King Beast Scorched-Crystal Crimson Apes cost me nothing, but doing the same to those High-Level King Beast Scorched-Crystal Crimson Apes caused me to more or less become dizzy. Considering that I seem to have lost thirty-eight percent of my soul essence, it is safe to say that each High-Level King Beast Scorched-Crystal Crimson Apes cost me around two to three percent of my soul essence.'
'As for the big ones, killing just those two Peak-Level King Beast Scorched-Crystal Crimson Apes made me want to die from just the sheer pain I experienced in my soul. Those two alone cost me twelve to fourteen percent each if I'm not wrong...'
Davis was not sure of the exact number, and he didn't bother about it either. All he knew was that Fallen Heaven had burned thirty-eight percent of his soul essence to kill two Peak-Level, seven High-Level King Beast Scorched-Crystal Crimson Apes! As for the remaining kills that were well within his limit, Fallen Heaven killed twelve Mid-Level and twenty-one Low-Level King Beast Scorched-Crystal Crimson Apes!
Excluding the King Beast Stage, there was a large amount of Lord Beast Stage Scorched-Crystal Crimson Apes that were killed by Fallen Heaven, amounting to three hundred and sixty-seven, of which two hundred and fifty-nine were below Peak-Level Lord Beast Stage, making it so that the remaining hundred and eight Scorched-Crystal Crimson Apes were all Peak-Level Lord Beast Stage ones that he required!
Hundred and eight Peak-Level Lord Beast Stage Soul Essences! Combined with the twenty-seven and three Peak-Level Lord Beast Stage soul essences he collected in the past, he had a total of hundred and thirty-eight Peak-Level Lord Beast Stage Soul Essences!
Davis felt his mind tremble for some other reason than pain. He felt that he had collected enough to see if he could raise the foundation or the prowess of his Soul Forging Cultivation. If he could, it would very well be his gain!
Well, if he couldn't, the danger he felt wouldn't keep waiting either.
It was a gamble he had to take!
Whether to stay in the Peak-Level Supreme Soul Stage and see if it does anything to increase his prowess... or enter the King Soul Stage and find so many Peak-Level Lord Beast Stage Soul Essences become useless in an overnight.
Davis felt conflicted, but he had to choose between one.
At this moment, Davis knew the numbness of his body had disappeared because he could now feel the softness of Sophie's twin peaks. They additionally made him feel pleasant, making him want to hold her and go to sleep for a long time.
'It must be the effect of the life-like energy that or am I really feeling sleepy...?' Davis mused as he didn't stop healing his soul essence.

A few minutes had passed, but already one percent was healed. However, he knew that the more he healed, the more time and energy it was going to take him unless he let Fallen Heaven passively heal him with its ever-present presence.
However, Davis abruptly froze before his body began to quiver.
Sophie opened her eyes as she noticed the anomaly and inclined her neck to see him. At the same time, Davis raised his head to see her. Her heart skipped a beat, thinking that something was gonna happen to him. However, when she saw his teasing expression, she knew that it wasn't anything significant.
"Don't be childish..." Sophie uttered with a pout, "Just rest..."
She found this whole situation to be embarrassing, but here he was, beginning to tease her again.
"Hehe... I just wanted to see how you would react..." Davis chuckled before he buried his face on her bosoms like a pervert.
Sophie could only roll her eyes and endure this shameful yet needy relaxation. However, she also liked this even though it was embarrassing as she returned to sleep while embracing his head, feeling like she possessed him all to herself now....
Above her bosoms, Davis's expression changed as it became cold and unamused.
"Fallen Heaven, where the fuck are those soul essences I collected...?"
Now... He was truly pissed off!
Not one single High-Level and Peak-Level King Beast Stage Soul Essences were present around Fallen Heaven in his soul sea, causing him to feel extreme rage, but he didn't show it towards Sophie and managed to calm down even though he still felt like shit. Not even the ones he had collected by himself remained even if Fallen Heaven refused to listen to his command just before he had fainted.
"I was waiting for you to notice..." A hoarse voice echoed in his soul sea.
Obviously, the owner of the voice was Fallen Heaven.
"Care to explain?"
Davis calmly asked.
"Well, I collected what you failed to collect as you told me to. I felt that it was a pity not to use them since they're already dead, but once you fell unconscious, after an hour or so passed, your soul sea's subconscious domain was no longer able to hold the High-Level and Peak-Level King Beast Stage Soul Essences in place, and they ended up separating from you before disappearing into the void."
"So... What you're saying is..." Davis's voice sounded confused, "Since those soul essences were too powerful, my soul sea was unable to keep them in check, and they ended running away like unchecked children?"
"Without a doubt..."
"You..!" Davis became speechless while he also tried to quell his swelling anger.
"Think about it..." Fallen Heaven slowly explained, "The heavenly laws constantly call them back to make them return where they should be to continue the cycle of life and death. You and I are withholding them from leaving, so what happens when your consciousness has become inactive, becoming unable to hold them back under the furious influence of the heavenly laws?"
"You have me, causing that 'furious' to become 'gentle'... If not, you would even fail to catch one, not to mention that none of those soul essences still there in you would remain while your soul is unconscious."
Davis kept himself from trembling!
What Fallen Heaven had said made extreme sense, but it served to make him angry instead! He understood that the physical souls he was absorbing from their soul essences should be eradicated under the heavenly laws of the reincarnation cycle while the spiritual souls would continue on, birthing into a new life.
This was what Fallen Heaven explained to him, so he could not find any fault with its answers.
Still, he remained unwilling.
"Why didn't you just devour them like you always do...?"
"Don't be unreasonable..." Fallen Heaven harrumphed, "If I did, what if something happened to you while you're naturally recovering? I won't harm you, but I won't heal you either unless whatever harmed you is capable of harming or killing me too."
"Besides, it would take a long time for me to refine. The soul essences would end up just disappearing unless you regain your consciousness, so it's all your fault instead..."
"Fine... It's my fault..." Davis sighed as he gave up.
"Nevertheless, I'm not worried since reaching High-Level King Soul Stage would perhaps take a few more months or years... I just feel it is a waste of deaths and my soul essence..."
"Indeed, it is a waste of deaths... All those lives... I feel sad..."
Davis rolled his eyes. Ever since Fallen Heaven gained the ability to heal, it was like another person altogether.
He descended into silence, and so did Fallen Heaven. The only thing he could now sense and feel were Sophie's soft bosoms under her silky white robes, her body warmth, and her heartbeat other than pain. His senses had completely returned, and he was no longer feeling lethargic.
"Hey, Fallen Heaven..." Davis suddenly called out.
"What?"
"By any chance, do you have a fire and lightning attributed cultivation manual?"

Embers in the Ash
Four ordinary young people from four corners of the Earth wake up on a hill in another world. Here, their very presence is a crime against the Gods. On the fringes of civilization, life is often brief and always violent, but in the Empire's Heartland, implacable hunters seek to rectify their blasphemous existence with Blade and Fire. To return home, they will need to adapt to a place where their life will be earned in steel. But what will they be ready to sacrifice for their goal? Will their flame flicker out like so many others before them? Or will they thrive as Embers in the Ash? Hello, and welcome to my first fiction on this site! Embers in the Ash is an epic fantasy adventure story that aims to span quite a few chapters (I hope!). To set expectations, this isn't going to be a LitRPG or power fantasy-style story. I'm aiming for a fairly grounded story set in a fairly high-fantasy world. I hope you enjoy it! For this first month of publication, my aim is to give you, the reader, something to really bite into. I will be releasing a chapter every day at 9:15 AM EST (13:15 GMT), as well as the occasional double chapter (which will always be announced by a post-chapter author blurb). Check in fifteen minutes after the first chapter's release! After this first month of publication, the aim is to go for either a weekly or bi-weekly release schedule, depending on the sort of time I can reliably dedicate to writing. Either way, settle in for the long haul, and welcome to the story!

The Grey Realm, an Erebus Story.
Written by: Staugroan and The Inklets. Edited by: Claudia Adams. In the beginning there was a god, who watched over and made one world his own. Soon after the god grew restless, but happened to stumble on a small world filled with life. This world was named Erebus by its peoples; humanity. The god was so fascinated with this new world that he started to copy it back home, creating oceans, forests, deserts, and so forth. Then the god created life and eventually his favored creations who would be immortals and be the better of mankind in every way-the elves. So often the god had traveled to Erebus that the two worlds became linked by magic and their inhabitants could cross at will. Relations between the races flourished, and a great empire was born in the Grey Realm, home of the elves. But the god once again grew restless, and set loose great beasts that stood at the top of any food chain, the apex. At first the elves met the challenge and fought them head on. But mankind was not so lucky, they died in droves to push back even a single apex. Something had to be done. Elves and man worked together to begin sealing off the worlds to protect mankind, to limit the ways in and out to better fight the apex off and keep their fellows safe. The ritual had adverse effects the likes of which neither the elves nor man could predict; the sealing of the worlds started slow, but the magic had never been done before, and in their ignorance it spread to completely cut the two worlds off from one another. It ejected the apex, and other magical being back into the Grey Realm, saving Erebus. At first the elves were content, they would find a way back once the apex were dead and gone. But the seal had done more than keep Erebus locked away. The powersource of the seal was magic itself, from both worlds, and it consumed it all greedily. The elves, weakened without their magic, crumbled into ruin, and the apex were free to hunt the other races of the Grey Realm. Two-thousand years later a strange phenomena is occurring and magic is slowly returning to the Grey Realm, and tears open that allow passage to Erebus. Thu'lain and a few elves must make the journey to fallen kingdom of the elves Anosora, in the hopes of reclaiming what was once theirs. They must face their nemesis the apex, and survive not only the species that have turned against them, but a terrible being left behind by the god to kill even the apex. Uch'l'thein, the faceless terror.
