I Am A Prodigy Chapter 218

Each of those VIPs took their seats one after another.
After receiving an affirmative answer, the emcee walked onto the stage with a microphone and said, "Everyone, please take your seats!"
The crowd sat down according to the order of their status. Wu Junjie's father sat in the third row, while Wu Junjie himself was only considered as a family member and thus sat at the back seat. A smiling He Yuan sat right next to him.
He Yuan used his sleeves to help Wu Junjie wipe down the chair. He then said flatteringly, "Young Master Wu, please sit down."
Wu Junjie enjoyed that feeling very much and nodded his head in satisfaction. "You have a grudge with the kid just now?"
"I hate him for taking away my woman. We cannot live under the same sky. I detest him for humiliating me and I will never forget what he did!" He Yuan's eyes seemed to suggest a deep-seated pain. "I hope Young Master Wu can get justice for me!"
"Oh, rest assured, that kid is nothing. I definitely won't be letting him off!" Wu Junjie smiled, then said, "When the show is over, my dad will bring me to say hi to Grandmaster Jia. You can tag along."
"Jia Di, Grandmaster Jia?!" He Yuan's pupils suddenly expanded. He nearly exclaimed out loud.
"That's right." Wu Junjie nodded enigmatically.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa..."
He Yuan could only feel his heart thumping. He was so excited that his entire face was flush with red. "Thank you for your kindness, Young Master Wu."
Grandmaster Jia was an unreachable figure under normal circumstances. It was difficult to get a chance to look at him from a distance, let alone closely. Showing one's face in front of Grandmaster Jia was something that would only happen in one's wildest dreams.
"Student Ye, why don't you sit with me and we can continue talking about math." Xu Wanqing said to Ye Lingchen, she still had many questions to ask Ye Lingchen, and if Ye Lingchen was not sitting next to her, she will find it difficult to endure the entire catwalk.

"Maybe next time. A friend of mine has saved a seat for me." Ye Lingchen waved his hand with a smile and straightened his posture up.
"Saved a seat?" Xu Wanqing frowned slightly.
There were no special seats there other than the first ten rows for those VIPs. Where could Ye Lingchen's friend possibly have arranged for him to sit?
Xu Wanqing was apprehensive, but Ye Lingchen had already started walking to the empty place next to Jia Di.
"Student Ye ..."
Xu Wanqing went blank immediately and urged him, "The first row isn't for us. What are you doing? Come back!"
Ye Lingchen turned around and flashed her a smile before continuing to walk forward.
"F*ck! What's that kid going to do?"
"Stop! You can't sit in the front seat!"
Many people were dumbfounded and could not help but exclaim when they saw Ye Lingchen walking past them.
It was a grandiose artiste fashion show! Those who came were all illustrious and renowned individuals. Where did that kid come from? He was surely crazy!
Anyone who angered those VIPs would be considered lucky if they only received a flaying.
Ye Lingchen turned a deaf ear to the exclamation of the people around him and continued to walk with calmness and composure.
Considering the circumstances, Ye Lingchen's expression was truly extraordinary. Perhaps the most suitable description was 'shocking'.
"Young Master Wu, look!" He Yuan's pupils contracted suddenly. He watched as that familiar figure slowly approached and began feeling a sense of panic coming over his body.
Frightening! Absolutely frightening!
In his eyes, Ye Lingchen's behavior could only be described as petrifying.
It was like an ordinary person watching someone else go for a roller-coaster ride. How could Ye Lingchen have such courage?
Wu Junjie turned around and was stunned to see Ye Lingchen.
"What's he trying to do? Does he want to get killed?"
"He probably thinks that the seat next to Grandmaster Jia was reserved for him?" He Yuan guessed a possibility, "Isn't that too naïve for a stupid c*nt like him?"

"Tch!" Wu Junjie could not resist sneering. "It's the first time I have seen such an interesting character in so many years of dominance. It's fascinating. No wonder he was brave enough to go against me. This kid is your stereotypical silly hat! "
At that point, a security guard was ready to step forward and stop him.
However, Jia Di suddenly left his seat in a hurry and walked over to Ye Lingchen.
He called out in excitement, "Grandmaster Ye!"
What was going on?
Everyone was flabbergasted.
They frantically searched their minds in an attempt to find any information related to Ye Lingchen, but they came up with nothing!
It scarcely occurred to everyone that Jia Di would be so respectful toward a little-known teenager.
Ignoring everyone's reaction, Jia Di personally welcomed Ye Lingchen forward and invited him to take a seat. There was a stark humility in that action.
Boom!
Wu Junjie's brain exploded violently. His mind was completely blank and overwhelmed.
He turned his head and looked at He Yuan with pleading eyes. He was dearly hoping that it was all just an illusion.
However, He Yuan was completely stunned too. His body was shaking, his forehead was covered with sweat, and he was horrified.
What in the world? God seemed to be fond of jokes...
"Who is he?"
"Could he be Vatti's young master?"
"Even if he was Vatti's young master, Jia Di would not have shown that kind of attitude. He was like a student who met his teacher. It's really odd."
"No matter how you put it, this person must surely be an extraordinary character!"
Everyone murmured softly and occasionally glanced at Ye Lingchen in awe.
Many people around Jia Di also gave Ye Lingchen amicable looks.
They did not know who Ye Lingchen was, of course, but he was surely an exceptional person to command such respect from Jia Di!
He Yuan and Wu Junjie had already turned into statues with dumbfounded looks.
That was especially the case with He Yuan, whose lips were trembling uncontrollably yet unable to make a sound.
Was Ye Lingchen not just an ordinary student? How could he be acquainted with Jia Di? What caused Jia Di to treat him so politely? It had nothing to do with science!
By then, flashbacks of him provoking Ye Lingchen was not the only thing popping up in his mind. Time and time again, he felt as though he was frantically trying to escape from the brink of disaster. Fear gradually seeped into his psyche even more, and eventually his face was completely white and devoid of blood.
Ye Lingchen seemed to have told the truth then. If he was acquainted with Jia Di, how could the clothes on his body possibly be fake?
Xu Wanqing's mouth was slightly agape. She stared at Ye Lingchen in disbelief and her eyes were filled with fascination.
What kind of student was he, exactly?
Faced with countless convoluted looks, Ye Lingchen appeared calm and sat down quietly.
The uproar stopped not long later and the emcee began to passionately deliver his opening remarks. Countless waiters held up fruit bowls and snacks, placing them next to the VIPs. At the same time, elegantly-dressed women were standing two meters apart at everyone's service.
Backstage, a group of nervous singers were getting ready and awaited further instruction.
Some of those singers were currently popular while others were past superstars. There were men and women, all of whom wore clothes provided by various clothing brands. They came out in groups of two when making their appearance in the runway.
Amid that group of people however, there was a pale-faced young girl that looked hesitant and anxious.
A closer look revealed that she was also wearing a dress, but the style was very different from that of the others...
