I Am A Prodigy Chapter 510

It was not difficult for Touch of Death to disable the opponent's ability to talk. The attack was swift and simple, true to its name as the godly technique of assassination suitable for all situations.
The remaining small fries were much easier to settle.
Ye Lingchen shrugged, then walked nonchalantly to the warehouse. The group of people has yet to discover any abnormalities. They continued to mind their own business in a relaxed manner. With someone keeping a lookout, they had nothing to fear.
Ye Lingchen had already committed all the things in the warehouse to mind. Entering it, he quietly took care of the people there one by one.
Five minutes later, he exited the warehouse and headed for the other building.
Unlike what he thought, there was nobody on the first floor, not even a guard. The entire floor was emanating a faint blue glow, giving off a creepy feeling in the night that caused people to feel uncomfortable, annoyed, and sleepy at the same time.
Ye Lingchen raised his brows, then calmed himself down. His gaze then fell upon the culture tanks around him.
The entire floor felt empty, devoid of redundant items. There were only 12 see-through culture tanks. These culture tanks were almost identical to those seen in movies, resembling a pillar. There was a faint green glow within the culture tanks that were filled with liquid. In them were some animal-like corpses floating in the bubbling liquid.
The creatures in the culture tanks looked familiar yet different. The culture tank he was facing had a tiger with extremely long fangs, growing from its mouth all the way to its chin, the lion on the other side had scales growing on its body, and the rat's body size was bigger than a dog.
Each creature in the culture tanks made Ye Lingchen's heart beat slightly faster with their horrific appearance.
Anyone that witnessed that scene would be scared witless. It was truly a terrifying view that could change one's views of the world.

At the same time, up on the higher levels…
"Young Master Takeshi1, someone's here!" an old man whispered. He was wearing round-rimmed glasses and a lab coat as he slowly entered, approaching Tsune Takeshi's side.
That old man was very short, had a pronounced mouth and thin cheeks. His eyes were narrowed, flashing with the occasional cold glint. He had none of the kindness one would expect from an old man but was instead filled with cunning and viciousness.
"Mm!" Tsune Takeshi grunted a reply without much change to his expression.
At the same time, one of the workers beside him said, "He's sure quick to arrive. Number Four and Number Six have been out on their mission and late by 30 minutes. They have obviously run into some trouble. Just seven minutes ago, we lost the signal of Number Three's vitals. The people outside the warehouse should be done for."
"That's very reckless. Who dares to come all the way here?" asked one of the workers.
Their computers were showing all sorts of data, numbering from one to a few dozen markers. That was the chip they inserted in their test subject's body, allowing them access to their physical condition, vitals signals, and so on.
For all the years they had been experimenting here, it was not that people did not try to develop this land due to it being deserted. Amaterasu Genetics had long purchased the land, but intentionally held back from developing it!
They made it seem like a plot of deserted land to avoid people coming over.
Their plans and experiments had been going smoothly all the while, giving them great results. However, all of a sudden, Number Four and Number Six's disappearance had caused them to be on alert.
They did not care if the test subjects died. What made them interested was the person that managed to deal with their test subjects.
Never did they expect that person to be so brazen and approaching them so quickly.

"Hehe, interesting."
That old man licked his lips. His eyes were like a venomous snake. Although his expression was unchanged, the excitement in his eyes were obvious.
Faced with such a situation, they were not panicking in the slightest.
"Everyone, get back to work, and wait here quietly. No matter who comes today, death awaits!" Tsune Takeshi laughed coldly. He then asked the old man next to him respectfully, "Elder Hiroshi, since somebody is breaking in, should we display the surveillance camera footage and enjoy the dance of this clown?"
Elder Hiroshi was the person in charge of this lab!!!
Tsune Takeshi was considered the sponsor. Although he was the master of Amaterasu Genetics on the surface, all the experiments were dependent on Elder Hiroshi!
This old man's research on genetics had reached an unbelievable level. His age had reached a terrifying number of 113 years old!
Although at 113 years old, his strength was far beyond Tsune Takeshi, able to easily send him flying!
Nobody could imagine that such a frail old body would be hiding such massive strength under it.
Elder Hiroshi did not reply. Instead, he merely pressed a button.
The big screen on the wall flickered, clearly showing the scene on the lower floor!
Very soon, one of the lackeys brought over a tea table. Elder Hiroshi and Tsune Takeshi faced the screen and watched while each holding on to a cup of tea.
The other workers similarly stopped talking and watched the screen passionately.
At the lower levels…
Ye Lingchen's sixth sense tingled, raising his head suddenly and tightened his lips, muttering, "So I've been discovered."
Every corner in this building was equipped with high-end surveillance cameras. Entering a place like this, Ye Lingchen did not expect himself to sneak in undetected.
"It's him!"
Tsune Takeshi recognized Ye Lingchen on the surveillance camera. For a moment, his breathing became labored. His eyes narrowed, giving off a glow of bloodlust. He said through gritted teeth, "Hahaha, he's presenting himself to me voluntarily! He actually dares to come here!"
Tsune Takeshi had a grudge against Ye Lingchen for his attitude during the auction for the giant python's meat. Every time he thought of it, he had the urge to drink his blood and eat his flesh!
Furthermore, Ye Lingchen's power was something that he was greatly jealous of. He had set a goal for himself to get rid of Ye Lingchen and use him for research!
"Since you're here looking for death, don't resent me for your death!" Tsune Takeshi's eyes turned red, his eyes filled with a mixture of vengeful look and excitement.
"So it's him." Elder Hiroshi had also laid his eyes on Ye Lingchen. A smile came onto his face. "Hehe, it would seem that he's getting arrogant with that little bit of strength. Him coming here sure saved us a lot of trouble."
He watched the video of Ye Lingchen's battle with the giant python for at least a hundred times! He was fully aware of Ye Lingchen's capabilities. Although his strength and speed were amazing, it was...insufficient!
"With his abilities, he would at most reach the third floor!" Elder Hiroshi stated.
At the same time, on the first floor…
Bang, bang, bang!
The dilapidated gates of the building fell, but in its place was a thick steel door that closed from above. The broken windows were also replaced with steel-framed windows. The entire room was placed in lockdown!
…

So when a strange voice offered him a way out, to a world unmarred by the poison killing his? Frank took it. The voyage changed him, made him fit his new world, one of stats and magic. It came with perks, for in passing through their Heavens, they'd been exposed to Divinity, and taken some of the Celestial within them. Heroes now, but there are heroes, and there are Heroes. The nobility of the Empire care only for those who carry blessed bloodlines, and their time to adapt and train up for the new world is limited. Frank found another way. It nearly cost him his life. Now on the run and burned by the very magic he sought and craved, he is a pilgrim traveling to the The Eternal Tree, font of Perseverance. Frank hopes Ir-karlak will grant him some way to recover from the fires that scorched him. Without snuffing out the embers those fires lit within, for he has learned to harness them and he would not give up magic for the world. *** In the last 21 days, as I update this, I've managed about 18-19 updates.
