I Am A Prodigy Chapter 518

Looking at the aircraft in the air, Ye Lingchen shook his head calmly and immediately made his way downstairs.
With his speed, he was capable of catching up with the aircraft. However, that would be a brave but stupid move.
Ye Lingchen had always been careful and cared greatly for his life. After all, it was difficult for him to obtain such a cheat. Playing around was one thing, but he must never go overboard. With such an amazing start, he must ensure its continuation.
Even if he caught up to the aircraft earlier, he would only be faced with the death-struggles of Elder Hiroshi and Tsune Takeshi. Although they were at the end of their ropes, he had no idea if they still kept any tricks up their sleeves. When their life was on the line, they would surely go crazy.
There might have been firearms or explosives on the aircraft. Even if Ye Lingchen had successfully taken them out, the aircraft was already in the air. If it were to crash, Ye Lingchen would have no way of surviving regardless of his strength. After all, he was unable to fly at the moment.
To gamble for Elder Hiroshi and Tsune Takeshi's life with his own was not a good deal.
Besides, letting Elder Hiroshi and Tsune Takeshi live was more beneficial to him!
Even if they survived, they were considered crippled. Under such circumstances, they could only focus on their wound recovery, thus preventing them from causing further trouble. Moreover, Ye Lingchen letting them go would make Amaterasu Genetics worry as they would then be aware that China had a powerful person. That would deter them from continuing such experiments in China. As for them potentially conducting such experiments in other nations, that was something that Ye Lingchen had no control of.
On the other hand, if he killed Elder Hiroshi and Tsune Takeshi, he might have a brief celebratory moment, but Amaterasu Genetics would still be around. It could potentially enrage Amaterasu Genetics and stir up trouble in China on a large scale. Ye Lingchen did not have that much time to play with them.

At the very least, this outcome would help China gain some momentary peace. That was the most he could do.
While still in thought, Ye Lingchen had arrived on the first floor. Just as he stepped foot on the first floor, some beasts were leaping at him while roaring, but were sent flying by Ye Lingchen with a flick of his hand.
The entire first floor had over a dozen beasts wandering about. Some of them had ran outside.
These beasts looked extremely deformed. The creepy and weird combination made people feel uncomfortable. There was a snake that had the legs of a lion and a tiger that grew wings on its back.
At that moment, the beasts on the first floor were feasting on the body parts of those that Ye Lingchen had killed back then.
With just a glance, Ye Lingchen headed outside without wasting any time. Along the way, he was like a tank rolling through the borders, sending the groaning beasts flying one by one.
Very soon, he saw a group of beasts that were headed to the warehouse. Within the warehouse, the sounds of infants crying could be heard.
"That Lin Ao sure is slow!"
Ye Lingchen raised his brows slightly, then bent his legs and propelled himself forward!
He became a blur, appearing before the warehouse and standing in front of these beasts!
Vroom, vroom!
At the same time, flashes of light could be seen from a distance accompanied by the roaring sound of engines. Three Jeeps were speeding over, crushing everything in its path!
They rammed straight into a group of beasts. Shots were fired, killing them instantly!
"Brother Ye," Lin Ao's voice came from one of the Jeeps.
Very soon, the cars pulled over in front of Ye Lingchen. Four fully equipped martial artists got out of each car!
"After receiving your report, I've had the nearest Warrior's Department branch rush over. What are these things? They're disgusting." Lin Ao walked up to Ye Lingchen and started examining the corpses around him with a frown.
"Let's cut our words short. Some of these beasts managed to escape. We must stop them!" Ye Lingchen stated. "Have two men guard here while the rest can go after the beasts that escaped!"

"Sure!" Lin Ao understood the severity of the matter and nodded. He then quickly gave the orders.
Two men stayed back to guard the place while the others gave chase on their vehicles!
The next moment, Ye Lingchen picked a direction and gave chase as well.
He knew that this direction had the most beasts. If he depended on regular martial artists, some would definitely escape!
Fortunately, this place was deserted—that allowed for Ye Lingchen to have a lot more room to act. Along the way, he had already killed five beasts.
Crack!
He killed another beast with a dog's head and a cat's body. Ye Lingchen's eyes narrowed and looked at the sea of lights in front of him. He could not help but take a deep breath.
At the same time, at Capital City's hi-tech industrial development zone…
It was a newly planned hi-tech industrial development zone in Capital City and was still in the infancy of its development. However, due to the large number of people staying in Capital City, although it was just at its planning stages, countless people already flooded over to buy properties, rent houses, start businesses, and so on. It was quickly prospering.
Especially in the evening, countless folks were free from their daytime job and pressure. Carrying their tired bodies home, they naturally wanted to vent their frustrations. The younger crowd would visit the night market while aunties gathered at the plaza for plaza dancing. The area was bustling with activity.
The central area of the hi-tech industrial development zone was where the night scene lies!
"Hello everybody!"
In the middle of the open-air stadium of the amusement park, a mustached man with a cowboy hat was speaking to the crowd with a smile on his face.
"Thank you everyone for your support. Next, let us present to you our next program, horse riding through a burning hoop."
Along with his words, three men appeared from behind the stage riding on horses. They were all wearing cowboy hats and suits, fully dressed up as dashing cowboys.
Whoosh!
The next instant, six huge hoops were lit ablaze in flames, immediately casting a red glow on the faces of the audience under the stage. It further ignited the passion in their hearts.
"Ahhh, so handsome! It's my first time seeing people riding a horse through a burning hoop!"
"It looks so dangerous. I can feel the heat from the burning hoops all the way here. So scary."
"The tiger doing ballet previously is more interesting. The people from this circus troupe are truly amazing. They even managed to tame a tiger."
"What a worthwhile trip! I didn't expect the amusement park to hire such an amazing circus."
"That's right. Just looking at these animals is worth the trip. Our trip to the zoo required an entry fee. Lions, tigers, and brown bears. The only one missing is a panda."
…
Most of the comments were delighted cheers from kids. The amusement park was filled with all sorts of interesting programs and was meant for them in the first place. With the arrival of the circus gaining more attention from the crowd, it helped the amusement park's attraction reach a new height.
Very soon, the program started. These people did not merely ride the horse through the burning hoops. They were able to make all sorts of fanciful poses. At one point, they even had two people going through the same burning hoop at the same time. That filled the audience's heart with excitement and brought them lots of cheers.
Whoosh!
In the darkness, a jet black figure suddenly showed itself. It was like a flash of black lightning, leaping straight over the crowd and appearing on the stage of the circus!
The figure was ferocious, causing several people to feel their hearts skipping a beat.
'This… Could it be the circus' secret program?'

Shadowrun: Blake Island School of Magic
It's a high tech, low life. It's the Seattle Metroplex in 2074. It rises like a steel and concrete cancer out of the earth. Poverty is rampant, corruption is everywhere, crime is out of control, corporations basically control everything, the old United States is fractured, magic has come back and now it turns out that humanity has been joined by elves, dwarves, orks and trolls. The old world ended but the rent is still due. Life goes on. You'd be surprised what people can adapt to, especially if they don't have a choice. One of the places where life goes on is just west of Seattle. Surrounded by the waters of the Puget Sound is an island. On that island is the Blake Island School of Magic. A decade ago it was known for producing some of the most talented awakened in the world. That reputation was hijacked by the wealthy corporate elite who now park their teenage children there. And since it's a boarding school, their parents mostly forget about them. Three young people, who are certainly not wealthy or elite, are chosen this year to attend this school of magic in hopes of revitalizing their reputation for talent. One from the ash drifts of the Puyallup Barrens, one from the most densely populated slum hive in the world and one from prison. This is their story. -- This story is set in the Shadowrun universe. If you're not familiar with Shadowrun, it mostly tells the stories of deniable mercenaries called shadowrunners in a cyberpunk dystopia. Instead of telling another story solely about shadowrunners, this story will tell the tale of young people navigating a world that is indifferent to them at best and actively hostile at worst. Shadowrunners will be in the story and we'll see them operate, but they won't be its main focus. This story originally began in 2017 as a passion project and continues to this day on the Somethingawful.com forums. The unedited version is over a million words strong. There are currently seven books in this series and I am currently in the process of editing them. If you read this story then you won't lack for content. -- The Topps Company, Inc. has sole ownership of the names, logo, artwork, marks, photographs, sounds, audio, video and/or any proprietary material used in connection with the game Shadowrun.
