I Am A Prodigy Chapter 595

The live audience went wild.
The program team was also excited, exchanging looks and finally heaved a big sigh of relief.
Zhao Liangying was backstage laughing at the amusing crosstalk. It was one thing to read the script, but listening to the crosstalk was an entirely different experience as Ye Lingchen managed to perfectly bring out the shamelessness of the performance.
Within a house in Donghai county, Guo Dongshan was watching the channel featuring the Spring Festival Gala. His face was flushed with a smile on the corner of his lips.
The duo did not let him down. Moreover, they had gone beyond his expectations. He looked at his disciple Little Yueyue emotionally. Just how capable was that Ye Lingchen to be able to help his disciple improve so much in such a short time?
"Master, t-t-this incident is just miraculous." The disciples beside him were stunned. Although crosstalk looked like it was only a verbal skit, its difficulty was on par with martial arts or dances. In fact, because everyone knew how to talk, it instead boosted its difficulty to another level!
They were professionals that dabbled in crosstalk for years and naturally understood the difficulty of performing crosstalk. It was impossible to do it without years of hard work.
Although the conversation was short during the opening, Ye Lingchen and Little Yueyue managed to surprise everyone, catching them off guard. The old-timers in the world of crosstalk were all the more surprised.
It was more understandable for Little Yueyue as he had been apprenticing under Guo Dongshan for many years, but what about Ye Lingchen?
He was completely new to the scene!
The art of crosstalk required little to start as anyone could just speak. However, it was difficult to enter the association, much less graduate from it. Apart from natural talent, one would also need years to dozens of years worth of hard work.

However, Ye Lingchen was a sports celebrity. That was a completely different world from crosstalk. They were unrelated topics. Even a genius should have its limit!
Furthermore, crosstalk was not simply achievable solely by being a genius. It also required a lot of effort. That was where the challenge of crosstalk lies. With just a pair of mouths, one had to use language to bring the entire scene to life along with specific expressions to match the scene, making it difficult and highly variable!
Mm, hey, sigh, eh, yo.
It took several years just to practice the usage of these empty words, not to mention mastering the usage of proper tones and enunciation, which would take even more time.
The art of crosstalk was an entirely different field of study all on its own.
Nevertheless, Ye Lingchen managed to pull off a straight man role with full professionalism. How could they not be shocked?
'When did he learn it?'
'Can he really perform crosstalk?'
Moreover, they have heard that the script for this crosstalk was written by Ye Lingchen himself. It was written on the spot in less than five minutes.
That was just...amazing!
The crosstalk masters were flabbergasted. Their worldview for many years was shattered. When compared to Ye Lingchen, they suddenly felt overwhelmed by embarrassment.
On the stage…
Little Yueyue was at his limits. He had to fight back and get back on top.
He smiled gently, "Let's stop joking and be serious. God Ye, we all know that you're quite popular lately."
Ye Lingchen covered his face. He appeared smug, yet tried to act humble. "Just so-so, hehehe…"
Little Yueyue was speechless. "Look at you, getting smug just because of a little praise. You've earned quite a bit right? Have you bought a house yet?"
Ye Lingchen shook his head. "Nope, I can't afford it."

Little Yueyue lowered his tone. "You should be able to find a place, right? Where do you stay?"
"Homeless!"
"Pfft! Hahahaha, God Ye is trolling him."
"That'll drive Little Yueyue crazy. His eyes are popping out."
"God Ye is too mean. So shameless. Very interesting."
Little Yueyue's face turned red. "A rich guy like you became homeless?"
Ye Lingchen, "Ah, what about it? Is that not allowed?"
Little Yueyue replied urgently, "Cannot! You must give me a location. Where do you stay?"
Ye Lingchen replied helplessly," I stay on a tree."
Little Yueyue guffawed, "Are you a bird? You must tell me where!"
Ye Lingchen paused for a moment, then waved at him. "Tell you where? It's on the third branch!"
The audience burst out laughing.
"Hahaha, I can't take it anymore, I'm dying of laughter."
"Oh my God Ye, can you stop being so trollish?"
"Third branch! This punchline will keep me entertained for the rest of this year."
"God Ye, please remember that you're a big-time sports celebrity. Don't steer too far off."
The audience laughed, getting more immersed, thoroughly enjoying themselves.
At home…
Ye Lingchen's brothers and sisters were all crying from all the laughter. They were slapping the sofa as they laughed, exclaiming, "This is too amazing. My brother is truly amazing!"
His grandparents were also laughing heavily. "This Little Ye, he's really...something!"
His mother's face was beaming, finally recovering her senses and started calling her friends on the phone. "Look, it's my son on the TV. Where? It's the Spring Festival Gala's stage!"
…
Listening to the crosstalk, time passed quickly. Paired with the atmosphere of the Spring festival, everyone was having the time of their life.
The crosstalk neared its end, finally coming to an end.
Backstage, Ye Lingchen and Little Yueyue descended from the stage. Little Yueyue took a deep breath. His forehead was somehow covered in a cold sweat.
"How was it?" Ye Lingchen asked, smiling.
"I've been sweating bullets. If I sweat that much every day, I think I'll be able to lose five kilograms in one month," Little Yueyue winced as he wiped his sweat on his clothes.
"Hahaha, it's over now. Was it exciting?" Ye Lingchen laughed.
Little Yueyue quickly waved his hands in denial, face pale. "I'll never do that again. It's too scary."
The mental strain was too much, keeping him on edge all the while. Now that he got off the stage, exhaustion took over and he could not even walk properly.
"God Ye!" Just as they were speaking, a figure rushed at them out of the blue. Feng Xiaofeng was excited, waving at him from afar. "Over here!"
Behind him were a lot more people.
Ten.
Twenty.
Thirty.
In the group were Lin Ao, Chen Xiaoyan, Zhao Liangying, and other people he was close with. Among them were also the assistant director of the Spring Festival Gala, the four consultants, and even the chairman was there. The rest were the crew members of the Spring Festival Gala that were in charge of makeup, cleanup, and props management.
All of them looked at Ye Lingchen with beaming eyes.
The whole group approached with nobody speaking.
Suddenly, it started with one pair of hands, then two, followed by an explosive applause!
Clap clap clap!
The director, assistant director, and chairman were all applauding him.
They poured their all into the applause, turning their palms red. It was a grand scene.
It was too exciting, surprising, and shocking at the same time!
It was a miracle…

God complex
A hero is summoned to another world, vanquishes evil, yadda yadda, saves the kingdom and lives happily ever after. There is no such hero in this story. Just a desperate youth with great ambition and very little to lose. A zero to hero style story set in a country clearly inspired by modern USA with just as many issues and the minority of mages often pulling strings from the shadows. I am also hoping the whole thing won't turn out edgy enough to cut me. I want to rely on actual good writing rather than cheap powertrip gimmicks. edit: Please don't mind Zetari's salty review. He is quite literally making up any use of the torture and human experimentation trope and says MC is blank after 4 chapters where he conveniently stops reading just at the start of his first character development. For extra entertainment, I will be uploading chapters two at a time and compose a relevant poem through the chapter names. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: End of the Five, Twenty-three, and Twenty-nine Years Story
Alternate titles: - Five, Twenty-Three, Twenty-Nine Years - 5, 23, 29 "Dad? I think I got a really bad fever, why do I still feel fine?" "It feels cold..." Five years ago, Owen became a Court Wizard in search of his father who was lost to the unknown three years prior. But that wasn't the beginning of the story. Maybe it began twenty-three years ago when Ronald Bell and Joshua Ruze saved the Illyer family. Or perhaps, it all started twenty-nine years ago, when Ronald, the son of the wealthiest merchant, became a Court Wizard. Well, it doesn't matter anymore, for the story five, twenty-three, and twenty-nine years ago shall now meet its end. 2nd book written in the Wizards of the Otherworldly series. Read Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia first. This story is split into two 'Collections,' Ronald's Collection and Owen's Collection, each centering around those Court Wizards. Crossposted with WordPress site, Wattpad, Sufficient Velocity, and Rainobu. Wizards of the Otherworldly Court is a fantasy story about the Otherworldly Court, an inter-dimensional (or world-hopping, you get the idea) organization made up of people of all ages, gender, and race from many parallel or different worlds. They are granted elemental-like magic powers and called themselves 'Court Wizards'. They are tasked to watch over the many worlds they come across and step into these worlds on 'missions' to preserve the balance, life, order, anything to make said worlds better places in the shadows but may reveal themselves if necessary. However, these missions may partially or even fully oppose their nature, personal interests, and ideals. Yet, most of the Court Wizards are aware and willing to complete even the worst missions that would shatter their true selves that they will never cast aside regardless, either growing or regressing because of it. Basically, it's isekai to multiple worlds but each book after Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia focuses primarily on one world while also discussing its lore in detail. Book Alicia is the introduction containing the essential worldbuilding of the Otherworldly Court universe you need to know while shoving in as many characters and worlds as I can. Also, each book will have a different main character, sometimes more than one in a single book, like Jojo.
