I Am A Prodigy Chapter 771

"Shockingly amazing."
The surprise was evident in Wu Tianbao's voice. "What did I say? As Hell's Gates increase in number, so will the number of talented martial artists. Each generation surpasses the old, and we're looking forward to be surprised by even more individuals."
Up in the audience, gratified smiles graced the faces of those five peak-level Kings.
The contestants had a solemn expression. They had always claimed themselves to be geniuses, but it was at that juncture that they realized there were people who were more talented than themselves. No one knew how many geniuses would rise to prominence in the arena to the International Martial Arts Tournament.
"His spiritual power is neverending, like a fountain." Arina defended once again, although she did so in a less cautious manner than before, then smiled and said, "Time to try my piercing spear!"
Arina initiated the attack as soon as she finished her words!
After positioning her feet, she moved as fast as lightning and tippy-toed to lean to the side!
She had earlier made only two movements: one was to retreat and the other was to lift her shield. However, the series of movements that followed were done in a decisive action, and at lightning speed no less.
The spear pierced the sky like a venomous snake and was thrust right at Zokawa's waist!
Both shield and spear were shrouded in a faint white light—it was the Will of God! The Power of God!
The will engulfed the weapon and increased its combat strength to the maximum!
Buzz!
Zokawa picked up the hammer as well and it seemed to have little to no weight on his hands. It was swung effortlessly from side to side and smashed right toward Arina!
"Both their attack speeds are just too quick!" Zheng Dali said.
Clang!
The spear collided with the heavy hammer, but Zokawa was pushed backward by three steps after dragging the hammer on the ground. He then looked at Arina in surprise.
Everyone was equally as startled by what happened.

Before anyone could gasp however, Arina's body swayed slightly in the air. She rechanneled the strength of the collision and once again attacked Zokawa!
She raised the spear and stabbed right at him!
Zokawa roared, shook his hammer, and struck her spear directly!
Clang, clang, clang!
The sound of colliding weapons resonated throughout and everyone's expressions became more and more solemn.
At that point, it appeared as though Arina was playing out Zokawa!
"Amazing. These two are true geniuses!"
Wu Tianbao explained, "Zokawa has endless spiritual strength but the same can't be said of Arina's Power of God. Because of that, she can't afford to waste any energy and adopts a quick fight strategy, but Zokawa has ample strength too. He's able to block Arina's attacks time and time again, and that heavy hammer becomes incredibly flexible in his hand."
Pant, pant!
Such rapid attacks had left Arina's face a little ruddy. Everyone there could sense a heaviness in her breathing, evidently due to her exerting her strength to the limit.
On the other hand, Zokawa's spiritual power was like an endless spring. Although his body is covered with sweat, only his physical power was spent, and his spiritual power was still more than sufficient.
As Arina's speed slowed down, Zokawa's eyes lit up and he suddenly lifted the heavy hammer that he had been dragging. He swung it again and slammed it right at Arina.
The fight between the two seemed to have come full circle and returned to the original state. Zokawa's advantage became more and more obvious.
Three strikes of the hammer were similarly blocked by the shield, but Arina's body seemed to have weakened considerably!
Buzz!
The hammer's fourth strike produced a whirlwind, with spiritual strength soaring into the sky. His strength increased again all of a sudden and struck down on the shield again!
Clang!
Arina's body sank suddenly and she knelt on one knee. The powerful force was transmitted through her as if it coursed through the ground, splitting open several wounds. Everyone could clearly hear the breaking sound of Arina's hand bones and kneecaps.

Retch!
Arina spouted blood!
The audience nevertheless stood up in surprise.
Wu Tianbao was similarly stunned and said, "This is a plain block! She's blocking it with her shield and body without using the Power of G—"
His explanation had been interrupted, for Arina's spear has pierced straight out from under the shield. That thrust of the spear resembled a rainbow that had been powered-up for a long time, piercing straight toward Zokawa's waist!
Zokawa was a big-sized fatty and it was impossible to avoid it!
However, a powerful force suddenly surged from outside the arena at that exact moment. It went straight to Zokawa's body and sent the body flying away, thereby avoiding the spear's attack.
Everyone looked up and saw action originated from the Sun Nation's King Stage leader. He was a thin old man with a mustache.
The old man said bluntly. "We forfeit!
"Zokawa is a genius both for our country and for Earth. This spear will likely end his life. I cannot bear it, which is why I acted. Please understand. We'll forfeit the first match!"
"You're shameless, Fujitani!" Hellas's leader yelled coldly. Aura erupted from his entire body and he was practically seething in anger. "This is a duel! Arina forced herself to take Zokawa's blow and ended up seriously injured. She nearly died for the sake of her attack. Why did you intervene!"
"She was the one who decided to take that blow. If you had blocked and conceded, we wouldn't have said anything either," Fujitani remarked nonchalantly.
"Do you want to fight us?" Hellas's leader asked rashly.
"Hehe, I don't mean that. We've already given up. What else do you want? Will you be satisfied only after ending Zokawa's life?"
The atmosphere was tense.
Most people had a look of resentment.
"This is just shameless. The Sun Nation's people are as shameless as ever!" Jing Shan was red with anger and could not help cursing, "C*NT. B*STARD! Everything was in vain! Zokawa may have lost this battle, but he didn't suffer any injury at all. His spiritual power is endless too, so he'll return to peak combat power after a short rest. When all the martial artists from different countries are injured, the one who is unscathed will play the decisive role! The Sun Nation made a calculated move, and the injuries Arina's sustained because of her decision was not worth it at all!"
"F*CK! A woman has more backbone than them!" Tie Jun, who was a man of few words, could not help but curse out. "How can this group of weaklings take on Hell's Gates?"
In the end, one could only chastise the Sun Nation's shamelessness and nothing concrete would come out of it.
"In the future, only the referee or the person-in-charge of the tournament can take any action. All off-site individuals will not be allowed to do so! Otherwise, they'll be eliminated from the tournament at once!" a King Stage martial artist said.
Talent was important, but a martial artist's integrity was even more important. Moreover, there were more than a few geniuses who had fallen in the process of their growth. True geniuses were those who survived through various trials and tribulations!
"Arina won the first round! The fight continues," the referee announced.
Then, a young man from the Sun Nation walked slowly into the ring. He donned a green vest and a Japanese samurai headscarf.
The boy had a thin physique and was not that all, making him contrast starkly with Zokawa. Nevertheless, one could easily spot his shocking muscles and amazing explosive power. His weapon was a katana! A Japanese katana!
Arina propped her spear on the ground and struggled to stand up. She gave her opponent a cold stare.
Hellas's leader sighed and said reluctantly, "Concede..."

I, Mor-eldal: The Necromancer Thief
As a budding little necromancer, I soon discovered that the world of city people is complicated. When my master kicked me out of the cave, he warned me not to talk about my “dark” magic, because people here don't like the undead. I am not really an undead, I just have a skeleton hand, but it is better to be careful. Anyway, that's not my biggest worry. In the Black Dagger brotherhood, I learn a lot of things, such as illusionist magic, which turns out to be quite handy to survive in this maze of streets: in the Cat Quarter, we have thugs of all kinds that are best avoided. But we also have good people, goodhearted “gwaks”, as we say around here. Little did I know that I would soon be caught up in an infamous traffic that would entangle my life even more. With a mix of lighthearted adventure and picaresque, this story narrates the hectic life of a good-spirited street child and his companions in a medieval urban fantasy setting with some nineteenth-century influences.
