My Passive Skills Are Invincible! Chapter 92

"What... why???"
Mike could not comprehend the current situation.
'Even if his enemy was strong, to the extent where they were undefeatable.
'Wait, the strength I've displayed would indeed make people feel devastated...'
'However.
'Is it really good to directly surrender in the finals?
'Oh, that was my original plan too...then I guess it's fine.'
After thinking about it, Mike realized that it was not that big of a deal for the other party to surrender.
Rather, it would be strange if the other party did not surrender.
He looked at Sky Splitting Sword who avoided his gaze, sighed, and said,
"Let's meet outside the arena later."
Hearing this, Sky Splitting Sword trembled in fear and almost instantly logged off.
After all, he still owed the other party 10,000 federation coins, so it was expected for him to feel guilty.
However, Mike narrowed his eyes and added.
"You better not think about escaping, or I'll make it impossible for you to survive in Second World."
Hearing this, Sky Splitting Sword revealed a despaired expression.
The importance of Second World was almost no different from the real world.
What did it mean to not be able to survive in Second World?
His life would be over.
Sky Splitting Sword believed that what Mike said was definitely not empty talk.
He really had the ability.
As an expert with such power, it was indeed not difficult to do such a thing.
In the new region, God Slayer might only be able to hunt him down or spend money to hire people to hunt him down.
However, things would be different in the big region.
For players at God Slayer's level, there would definitely be countless large guilds vying for him to sign their contract.
At that time, God Slayer would only need to add one more requirement to the contract.

"Chase after and kill Sky Splitting Sword repeatedly."
'Then, I'll be done for.'
Thinking of this, Sky Splitting Sword gave up struggling.
Thus, a strange scene appeared...
Although the entire arena was dissatisfied with the final match — after all, someone directly surrendered without putting up a fight.
However, everyone's emotions were still running high.
After all, God Slayer winning the championship was what everyone wanted to see the most.
He deserved it!
At this moment, as the referee, the Deputy Commander of the Royal Guards, Lucious was also very excited.
He saved his own life, so of course, he was excited.
He walked to the stage and announced loudly to everyone,
"This City of Light martial arts competition has officially ended. The final champion is God Slayer!
"Next, let's welcome the king to give a speech for the champion!"
Applause immediately broke out in the arena.
A moment later, the king stood up, and the applause gradually stopped.
With the amplification spell cast by the palace mage beside him, the king's voice spread throughout the entire City of Light.
Countless people outside the arena could not help but stop and listen carefully.
"Everyone, I'm very happy to be able to give a speech for the champion of this tournament, Mr. God Slayer.
"His strength has completely conquered everyone. I believe that no one will have any objections to this result.
"If anyone has any objections, please come up to the stage and challenge Mr. God Slayer."
Upon hearing this, the audience in the arena burst into laughter.
Seeing the audience's reactions, the king was very satisfied with his humor and continued,
"Alright, since no one has any objections, I'll continue.
"Since the ranking of this tournament has been decided, then I'll give out the prizes for the warriors in this tournament."

"At the same time, I also want to announce an important matter."
At this point, the king deliberately paused for a few seconds, leaving this time for the audience to discuss.
After a few seconds, the king looked at Mike from afar and continued,
"I have decided to appoint Mr. God Slayer as the Commander of the Adventurer Legion of the City of Light!"
Hua!
The entire arena was in an uproar.
In the history of the City of Light, there had never been an Adventurer Legion.
Furthermore, there had never been an example of an adventurer becoming a Legion Commander.
This decision was unusual, and it could even be considered a bold move.
That was in the eyes of NPCs, adventurers, or players had always been difficult to control.
They seemed to have their own way of doing things.
No one knew where they came from.
What was scarier was that they could not be truly killed.
Was it really appropriate for such a group of people to form a legion in the City of Light?
However, even if the NPCs were a little worried about this matter, no one would bring it up.
Unless they wanted to suffer the wrath of God Slayer.
Obviously, no one wanted to.
On the contrary, the players' reactions were completely different from the NPCs.
The players' reactions were much more excited.
"What, God Slayer can become a Legion Commander?!"
"Oh my god! This news is too shocking!"
"If we successfully join God Slayer's Legion, can we get our salary from the City of Light?"
"That seems to be the case!"
Very quickly, the excitement in the arena changed.
The players shouted at the top of their lungs.
"Big Boss God Slayer, let me join your legion!"
"Big boss, I'm very strong, and I'm very obedient!"
"Big boss, I'm willing to become your death squad, let me join!"
"Big boss, I can sleep with you!"
"Big boss, I'm a 36E!!"
All sorts of shouts appeared in the arena, causing the surrounding NPCs to look at them with disgust.
As expected, adventurers were all such people.
They were too uncultured.
On the stage, Mike smiled and lifted his hands.
In an instant, the entire arena fell silent.
The silence came even faster than when it was the king.
This made the king a little unhappy.
Everyone was waiting for Mike to speak.
"Thank you for your support, but I do not plan to recruit anyone for this legion. I will discuss the details with the king before starting."
Hearing this, the players were disappointed but were understanding.
Such a huge matter, it was natural to discuss it with the king.
When the king heard Mike's words, he smiled with satisfaction.
It seemed that this adventurer respected him a lot.
He did not waste too much time and immediately asked the court magician to teleport him to the arena to hand out the rewards to the first and second place winners.
Sky Splitting Sword was standing beside Mike with a nervous look.
What was given to him was a skill book. As for what kind of skill it was, he did not even have the mood to look at it.
Mike, on the other hand, was lost in thought as he looked at the weapon he had just acquired.

Entangled Fates Book 1 - Quantum Beginnings
“By far, the greatest danger of Artificial Intelligence is that people conclude too early that they understand it.” —Eliezer Yudkowsky Hey all, we're moving over to book 2. The book is now availble on Amazon (includes extra chapters): https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B07W1534R8 Artificial intelligence was nearly mankind’s last invention. AI took off like a rocket, then when it racked up an impressive death toll, it crashed before it could blossom and took most high-tech industries with it. Resistance and fears became deep-set. Two decades after the infamous Rev. 4.6 incidents, humanity hasn’t quit dreaming of the wealth and power that could be at their fingertips. A new generation of mega-corporations rose from the ashes. When one melds a quantum computer to a barely functional mental patient as a PR move, there are those who seek to profit, those who want to destroy it, and Alex. Alex Sage is a typical college student trying to keep up his grades and maybe find a meaningful connection with the fairer sex. Then, an automated semi crashes into his home, killing his family and turning his head into a pin cushion in the process. Alex awakens to find most of his memories gone and an illegal AI hidden in his brain implant. Now the pet project of a tech billionaire and heavily in debt, Alex struggles to stay valuable enough to be kept online. Still grappling with the repercussions of his injuries, and threats from a dangerous anti-augmentation political movement, there are no easy answers and threats loom around every corner. Alex must use whatever resources he can to escape from under the thumb of a ruthless corporation, while keeping those he comes to love safe. Chapters will stay up on RRL until Aug 10. It'll go up on Kindle Unlimited after that. How do you get those extra chapters I didn't have planned for RR? If you want them, they'll be in the published book. Book 2 will still make sense without them - I made sure of that. But... isn't $3 a lot for extra chapters? Think of it as tipping me for a good job and you'd also be getting my eternal thanks. If you enjoyed it so much that the idea of missing out a few chapters haunts you, I did my job as an author and made an engaging story. What's in those extra chapters? Resolving a few issues, set up for the cybernetic revolution, a rather intense sex scene with a new partner, revelations of who's really pulling strings, and a bit of set up for book 2. Complaints that people missed out on it when it was published here won't help (sorry!). I posted this for the folks who helped me shape the book, which is you all! (Again, yay!) But... Why! Why not keep it all on RR forever? My editor likes being paid for one. For two, I'd like the ability to get broader readership. If I break even on editor costs, I'll be incredibly happy. What about book 2? Drafts for Book 2 will go up around Sept 10. My draft of Book 2 is done, and it will be handed to the editor once Book 1 is published. Feedback has been even more positive. Beta readers devoured it and wanted more. I'll add a link to Book 2 once it's up on RR. I'm more or less, using you all for Beta Readers, so you get it before it's "canon" and edited. I invite active and meaningful feedback during this process. In return, you get early access to chapters. That does mean that the book content or plot might be adjusted before it gets published as I refine it. Sex Y/N? Yes. I heard the feedback, 90% wanted it explicit. You all will get the "full" experience. Will I dump all of book 2 here? Honestly, I'm not sure yet. At a minimum, it'll be up to the 75% mark as we collect feedback, much like what I did with book 1. It really depends on how good the feedback is and how nice people are. Lots of support + meaningful feedback to make it better = higher likelihood you get all the book. Will be it up here indefinitely? No, it'll probably go up on KU at some point, but I'll make sure there's enough time for a large readership to grab it here. Then we move to book 3 which already is around 60K words already. What about other adventures in the same universe/characters? Yep. Absolutely. Nothing ready to share yet though. I plan to keep those side chapters and more slice of life stories as RR exclusive. Since I'm carving this off in book-sized segments, I'll have to figure out where those disconnected story arcs belong. I'm open to suggestions.

Mana Tank Magus
Jonathan Orville has had a thoroughly enviable life, completely devoid of pain or suffering. Though his life is tragically cut short due to a sharp rock, he would never regret his perfectly positive life where nothing bad ever happened to him, ever.Even though he doesn't regret it at all, he still finds himself summoned to the netherworld for a new adventure as livestock for a needlessly attractive demoness who is totally probably in love with him. This is a story about using the power of positive thinking to overcome adversity. Demonic forest fires, consumption of souls, rivers of blood and rampant carnage; none of these can get in the way of a dedicated effort to think positively.Newest chapters at: https://manatankmagus.wordpress.com/This location is likely to stay a bit behind. I am very lazy. :DDISCLAIMER: My primary purpose here is Comedy rather than badass skills and righteous adventures (although there's some of that too). The main character can be a little bumbling at times and has a much higher opinion of himself than justified. If you really dislike that kind of thing, this is probably not for you.

Conquest of Avalon
Revenge. The Kingdom of Avalon swept across the Empire of the Fox a generation past, conquering the heartlands and leaving the broken remnants to stew in the island duchy of Guerron. This isn't a story of Good versus Evil, of kindly kings doing their best to lift all subjects, or of unvarnished heroes doing battle against evil. Instead, this story is about power: who has it, who wants it, and what people will do to obtain it. It is about the violence inherent in the imperial project and how even the most well-intentioned rulers and conquerors are, still, engaging in systemic violence against those conquered and defeated. Our three point-of-view characters are a peasant turned fire wizard, an excitable duelist with more enthusiasm than sense, and a scheming mage-priestess bent on reclaiming her family's birthright and waging war on the foreign oppressors who rule her home... no matter the cost in blood or treasure.
