Then he tightens his grip on the sword-sheath as he move his left arm backwards and positioning the sheath diagonally at his back, planning to block the incoming sword strike.

The Doppelganger is currently sitting on the ground so it can't block or dodge the incoming strike. All it can do is to activate its remaining defensive skill. A sword Qi enfold its body, protecting it from any harm.

Then Shin jump forward before spinning in the air and throwing a powerful kick at the Doppelganger's head with his left leg.

And after some time of using those Combat Techniques together against his opponent's attacks, Shin is starting get a hold of it and manage to get the upper hand as he deal some more damage at the Doppelganger.
