Child Of Destiny Chapter 252

...…
While Shin was currently busy at taking down a group of players after another, the remaining groups which were even more skilled than the previous groups, were also discussing how to figure out how to deal with the continuous assaults of their 'assailants'.
"I knew it! It is really impossible for these highly skilled players not to have some reliable players," said by a Human Guardian of the group.
"And whoever these guys are, I am pretty sure that they were highly trained assassins in the real world. Because if it is not, then it is pretty much impossible for us not to notice any of their tracks," added by a TigerKin Master Berserker beside the previous guy.
The Female White Elf Master Archer of the group thought for a moment before chiming in their conversation. "They are not only highly skilled at hiding their tracks, they were also too good at concealing their presence. Because it was pretty much impossible for these werewolves not to notice them."
The Human Bishop standing in the middle of the group nodded his head and said. "Hiding their presence to the point that even these werewolves with heightened senses can't perceive them? This is the proof of how skilled they are."
"Is it possible that these guys are from the Assassin Union?" randomly asked by the Human Guardian earlier.
"Impossible," but that was immediately rejected by the Human Swordsmaster standing behind the Human Bishop as he chopped yet another werewolf.
After that, he quickly added. "Whoever these guys are, it is impossible for them to be a part of the Assassin Union since their methods are entirely different. We already fought with some of those guys before, so you should be able to tell the difference."
"What's more, we are able to sense those guys' presence at the very least. These guys, on the other hand, were able to bypass not only our senses but also the other Rankers' Groups."
The Human Gaudian just shrugged his shoulders and said. "I am just asking; you don't have to reject that idea too strongly. And who knows, maybe these guys are the famous 'Hunting Wolves' of the Assassin Union. Oh~! That is right! Maybe that is why these werewolves are ignoring them. It was because they are both 'wolves'."
There was a Female Naga Master Aquamancer right beside the Human Bishop. And when she heard those words from the Human Guardian, she couldn't help but join their discussion and said. "Alright, that is enough with nonsense. Focus on what you are doing and make sure that you are not going to let your guards down."
From the looks of it, she seemed to be the leader of this group.
And after saying those words, she turned her head to the White Elf Master Archer and said. "Still not able to find the targets, Little Arrow? How about Little Pebble? He is still not able to spot even a single of them?"
The Female White Elf Master Archer was named 'Cute Arrow'. And when she heard those words from her captain, she immediately shook her head while replying. "Sorry, Captain. But it is really hard to track them. Even 'Neglected Pebble' can't find any of their trails."
The Captain became troubled after hearing that as she frowned her eyebrows. And after some thinking, she could only sigh helplessly before saying. "So, all we could do was to wait for them to target us. Or, should we bait them a little?"
...
If Shin could hear them, then he would be laughing out loud for these guys thought that he was a group instead of an individual.

And while those guys were busy looking for their 'targets', Shin finally arrived a few distances away from them.
Shin first observed his prey closely to gauge their strengths. Even if his hunting earlier was somewhat successful and quite smooth sailing, that didn't mean that he would underestimate his targets.
Well, it was one of the habits that he picked up on the Mafia Training Camp and after living in the Springfield Family.
"Assassination Rule no.7: Never underestimates your target when assassinating. Use the whole strength to take down targets as soon as possible," muttered Shin to himself while observing the group carefully in the distance.
And after observing them for quite some time, Shin discovered that this group was not some random group anymore. Just with their stable moments alone, he could already tell that they were much better than the groups that he 'battled' earlier.
He raised one of his eyebrows before mumbling to himself. "Huh? These guys were quite skilled, a Rankers' group maybe?"
And as that group advanced forward, he could see some openings from time to time. But he didn't make his move yet. Because with a single look, he could tell that those chances were purposely left open to bait him out.
Realizing this, his lips suddenly curved into a grin as he muttered quietly. "Baiting me out, huh? Should I bite it a little?"
But before he could even make his move, he realized that there was a blurry silhouette circling around the group. "Eh? There was a Thief-related class among them? This is going to be a little tricky. If I attack those guys in the group, this guy may be able to locate me immediately. But if I try to take care of that thief, then the Archer may be able to spot my location a little later."
Shin took for a moment to think of the plan of how he was going to deal with this tricky situation. And when he couldn't think any better than taking them head-on, he gave up hiding for now and decided to show himself this time.
"Tch! If I am going to get discovered both ways, then let's just attack them at the same time," said Shin to himself before maneuvering towards the thief stealthily.
And when Shin gauged that the distance of the thief away from his teammates was already enough, he controlled the [Spiritual Executioners] hovering a few distances away from his spot and immediately sent them flying towards the group.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
The flying daggers flew with a great speed and traveled in tricky angles as they went for the Archer and the Human Bishop of the group.
But before they could even hit their target, the Human Guardian of the group suddenly moved in front of the Bishop while raising his shield at the path of the flying daggers and blocked them from moving forward.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
At the same time, the TigerKin Master Berserker immediately arrived in front of 'Cuter Arrow' before swiftly swinging his heavy sword at the incoming flying daggers, deflecting them to the side.
Cling! Cling! Cling!
Then the Captain said to his teammates. "They are finally here! Take on your positions!"
Understanding their situation, the others quickly responded to him and immediately took their respective positions.
The trio of the TigerKin Master Berserker and Human Guardian and Swordmaster, quickly formed a triangle formation and put the other trio of the Captain, Archer and Bishop in the middle.
At the same time, Cute Arrow's eyes turned sharp as she tried to locate the sender of those flying daggers. She scanned their surroundings carefully but all of her efforts were futile, she couldn't locate 'them' at all!

Well, she would not be able to find the 'assailants' if there was 'no one' to find in the first place.
Meanwhile, 'Neglected Pebble', who was a Specter Master Assassin, quickly responded to what had happened and tried to locate the source of those flying daggers.
But before he could even make his move, the hairs on his back suddenly became erect and gave him a signal that there was something dangerous that was coming after his back.
Without having any second thoughts, Neglected Pebble quickly activated his 'Gale Steps' extra skill to get away from his current predicament.
Swoosh!
And right after he disappeared from his spot, a sword silhouette suddenly sliced through the air on that place.
"Have some quick reactions, huh?" Shin pursed his lips when he saw that.
Immediately after that, both of Shin's eyes suddenly shone with a bright light as he activated his ocular skill.
'Extra Skill: True Sight'
With this skill activated, Shin was able to instantly spot where his target had escaped into. And immediately after that, he quickly executed the 'Ghost Evanescent' to chase after Neglected Pebble.
Shin disappeared from his previous spot but he also left an afterimage at the same time. And that simple trick had fooled his opponent.
The moment Neglected Pebble turned his head towards his previous location was also the time when Shin left that afterimage. So, when the latter swung his saber immediately after catching up, the situation created an illusion in the former's mind that he was currently being attacked by 2 people at the very least. What's more, 'these guys' were skilled and highly-trained assassins.
Realizing this, Neglected Pebble quickly activated his berserk skill without further ado. Especially that his teammates couldn't give him any kind of assistance because they were busy brushing off their 'assailants' and the werewolves on their side.
Clang!
After getting the boost, Neglected Pebble quickly raised one of his daggers, blocking the saber that was coming after his head.
Shin had gotten a little off-guard at his opponent's decisiveness, and that was why he also took a look at the basic details of his opponent while he was at it.

------------------------
"Oh~! Interesting," muttered Shin as he stood in front of his opponent.
Neglected Pebble couldn't hear Shin clearly because of the chaotic environment. But whatever the latter had said, it didn't feel good for him as he thought that this guy was communicating with his 'teammates'.
Afraid of getting tied with Shin on this place, and getting ganged up by the 'hidden opponents', he quickly made an immediate retreat move.
He suddenly disappeared in front of Shin with another escaping skill. Then he swiftly ran towards his teammates to regroup, being in the middle of this chaotic battlefield alone was too dangerous; especially that he could be ambushed from all sides at any given time.
But it didn't take him too long to realize that it was too hard to escape from his current predicament; it was too hard to shake his pursuer off.
Because Shin was continuously using his 'Ghost Evanescent', he kept leaving a bunch of afterimages behind. And if you add the fact that he was currently using it in the middle of this chaotic environment, it was hard for his opponents not to think that there was a group of players coming after them.
Clang!
Shin caught up with Neglected Pebble once again, but the latter was able to defend from Shin's assaults for another time.
And after a couple more exchanges, Shin realized that his opponent was always keeping his surroundings in check whenever he was able to catch on the assassin.
At first, he thought that Neglected Pebble was too cautious of the werewolves in their surroundings. But when he threw a few more attacks, he discovered that it wasn't the case.
"Is this guy thinking that I have some other companions?" muttered Shin to himself as he raised one of his brows for being confused.
He only realized the real reason when he noticed that his opponent was keeping an eye at the afterimage that he just left before shifting directions and throwing another basic attack.
Clang!
Realizing the true reason for his opponent's cautiousness, a sudden thought entered Shin's mind. After learning that he had unconsciously misled his opponents, a new plan was formed in Shin's head. If his opponents were thinking that he was a group of players, why not use it against them and took it as his advantage.
Having that thought in mind, Shin quickly stopped engaging directly at his opponent before using the running werewolves as a cover to continuously use another series of 'Ghost Evanescent'.
But this time, he was using it while circling around Neglected Pebble, which also created a bunch of afterimages in the process.
And since Neglected Pebble was only seeing those afterimages in a very brief amount of time, he thought that those silhouettes were real people, making him to become even more cautious.
"Are they going to be serious now and attack me simultaneously?" mumbled by Neglected Pebble when he saw this sight. Then he sharpened his senses and put his guard on an even higher level.
One look at him, Shin could tell what his opponent was doing. And with this kind of situation, where his target was on high alert, he was able to fool his opponent's senses even more.
Given that, Shin suddenly dashed forward from Neglected Pebble's back.
Whoosh!
Shin's speed was too fast that even made Neglected Pebble hear the gusting wind from behind.
'Here they come. Bring it on!' thought Neglected Pebble as he hopped forward while turning his body around in the air. At the same time, the dagger on his right hand was currently glowing with green-colored light. And from the looks of it, he was planning to do a counterattack on this exchange.
"I've been waiting for this moment," said Neglected Pebble as he threw his right-hand dagger at the presence that was coming from behind.
Swoosh!
But his mind suddenly turned blank when he saw that there was no one present there. "What the!?"
Then he heard a cold voice behind him, saying. "So do I."
Neglected Pebble felt that his body suddenly turned cold when he heard that voice. He felt that the Reaper of Death was coming after his life.
Shing!
He wanted to escape from his current predicament but it was impossible. He was currently in the air, which made him unable to use any kind of escaping skills.
At the same time, Shin finally threw his final verdict as he powerfully swung the [Dusk Blade] at his opponent's back and stunning the latter in the process.
'Extra Skill: Destructive Slash'
After that, Shin quickly followed it with two consecutive flaming cuts before throwing five consecutive slashes that was stronger than the other.
'Slayer Skill: Solar Cut'
'Grim Reaper Skill (Tier 2): Purgatory Slash: Penta Slash"
Neglected Pebble couldn't do anything as he watched his HP Bar fell down to zero. And a moment later, his vision was covered by deep darkness and indicated that he had died.
On the other hand, Shin didn't give a shit at Neglected Pebble's feelings as he knew that the animation of his skill was not done yet.
Then Shin controlled his breathing to guide the mana inside his body before transferring them at the [Dawn Blade] on his left hand while turning his body to face the direction where Neglected Pebble's teammates were located.
And when the accumulation of Mana reached its Peak, he quickly slashed the [Dawn Blade] in the air in front of him and sent a crescent energy wave forward.
'Grim Reaper Skill (Tier 2): Purgatory Slash: Energy Wave'
Swoosh!
The energy wave flew amazingly as it somehow traveled through the gaps in between the werewolves and went straight towards the opposing group.
And since the energy wave was a little eye-catching, the Human Guardian of the group immediately positioned himself at the path of the incoming energy wave and quickly raised his shield and blocked it with one of his defensive skills.
Bang!
Even if the Human knight was successful at blocking the energy wave, the force accompanying it was more than enough to throw his balance off and forced him to quickly take a couple of steps backwards to regain his footing.
After that, he looked at the direction where that attack came from and saw a hooded guy pointing his saber at him as if he was saying that he was next.
And for unknown reasons, the Human Guardian felt that that sight put a sudden chill on his entire body, which also surprised him greatly.
Then he squinted his eyes while looking at Shin and silently muttered to himself. "Looks like this is going to be really troublesome."
