After a seemingly endless struggle, Shin finally defeated the last doppelganger of the sixth round of his Awakening Quest.

"Hu~… D*mn, that took longer than what I had expected," muttered Shin as he took a seat on the ground to recover from his mental fatigue.

He was fighting in this dimensional world for quite some time already, and those fights were all intense battles, so it was natural for Shin to become tired. Fortunately, there was a thirty-minute gap in between each round that he could use to take some rest.

But even if that was the case, each round of the quest was much harder than the previous one, so those thirty-minute gaps were not enough for Shin anymore. And given that, the mental fatigue that he had was starting to pile up and making hard for him to recover.

Even if he had a monstrous strong willpower, he was still a human being after all. No matter how strong his mind was, there were still some limits on what he could endure.

Though, these limits were just some obstacles that he needed to conquer if he wanted to improve himself further.

"D*mn! So, this is also why this type of Quest is troublesome. Trying to wear someone out in the previous rounds before putting the nail in the coffin for the last round. Tsk! Such tricky devs we got here," complained by Shin as he lied down on the floor in a lazy manner.

He stayed like that until the thirty-minute break finally came to an end. And the moment he stood up, a dimensional portal suddenly appeared not far from him. A moment later, a figure slowly walked out of that dimensional gate.

Shin couldn't help but knit his brow the moment he saw the appearance of this newly arrived opponent. Unlike the previous opponents that he had so far, this new guy was currently wearing a full set of samurai armor while holding a sheathed katana on his left hand.

Shin was expecting another batch of doppelgangers based on the opponents that he had faced earlier. Or at least a single doppelganger possessing all of his skills. So, this new opponent caught his completely off-guard. What's more, this samurai-looking guy looked strong based on the threat level that his instincts were receiving.

But his confusion didn't end there. Because on the next instant, another armored figure walked out of the dimensional gate. And this one was donned with a full-body armor of a knight from the medieval period. The was also a sheathed longsword hanging on the left side of his waist.

From the looks of it, this knight didn't to the samurai in terms of battle prowess given that Shin was also receiving an immense threat coming from this guy's body.

"Looks like another trouble was about to come," muttered Shin as he squinted his eyes while looking at the two opponents standing not far from him.

Fortunately, there was no more opponent followed after the knight after its appearance; the dimensional gate quickly closed by itself the moment that knight walked out of it.

At the same time, Shin tried to use his 'True Sight' skill to see the details of his opponents. But too bad for him, he couldn't see their details at all! All the things that he could read were a bunch of question marks.

"Based on the nature of this Awakening Quest-…" Shin squinted his eyes further as he tried to assess his current situation. And while thinking about that, a sudden thought suddenly entered his mind. "Could it be!?-…"

But before he managed to voice it out, a series of system notifications sounded on his ears.

System: Congratulations! You managed to clear the first sixth rounds without getting killed even once. Due to that, you already cleared your Awakening Quest.

System: You will be granted a chance to challenge the lesser clones of your Legacy Skill Progenitors as an extra reward.

System: You will not get penalized even if you fail the challenge, but you will get some benefits if you manage to win against them.

The moment those system notifications were done informing Shin, his opponents that were donned with knight and samurai armors and were standing in the distance, suddenly made their moves.

The Knight quickly pulled its sword before gathering a bunch of elemental mana on it. And when the mana accumulation reached a certain degree, he waved his sword in a circular motion and summoned a bunch of lightning spheres around him.

After that, he pointed his sword at Shin and sent the lighting spheres towards that direction with a great speed.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Seeing the incoming spheres, Shin immediately charged a large amount of fire elemental mana at the sheathed [Yamato]. Then he quickly pulled it out with a great speed while swinging it rightwards, sending a crescent sword wave blazing with black-colored flame.

Shing!

'Class Fighting Style: Solar Flare'

Boom!

The lightning spheres immediately exploded the moment they collided with Shin's sword wave, which also created a cloud of smoke that blocked Shin's line of sight.

"Sh*t!" knowing that he messed up a little, Shin quickly used the 'Sunshine Movement' to move backward and distance himself away from his current location.

And immediately after he left that spot, a powerful explosion devoured that place.

Shin couldn't help but break in cold sweat the moment he saw the raging flames on his previous location. "D*mn! That was an intense one you got there."

But quickly after that, his lips suddenly curved into a grin as he realized the purpose of this seventh round. "Looks like I need to do my best to survive this challenge for as long as I can so that I can observe the future skills that I will get."

After having those thoughts, Shin quickly did a consecutive flip backwards and dodged a bunch of sword waves that came from above. And when he raised his head to look at the source, he saw the Samurai standing in the air.

He knitted his brow a little, trying to guess if that skill was the peak level of 'Mondi's Jump' or another type of skill. "Interesting!"

A moment later, the sheath on the samurai's left hand suddenly transformed into a strange sword that resembled a straightened spine of a human. And after the sword-transformation, the Samurai quickly swung his sword downwards.

The length of that strange sword suddenly increased greatly as it whipped towards Shin's direction.

Shin smirked at the incoming whip sword as he found it interesting. Then also transformed the sheath of his sword into the [Crippling Punisher] form before swinging it powerfully.

After the collision of the two words, Shin immediately waved the whip sword backwards to retract its blade before swinging it once again, but he did it thrice this time.

When the Samurai guy in the air saw the tricky angles of Shin's attack, he quickly waved his whip sword in a strange manner as a counter-attack.

After the collision of their swords, Shin immediately released the 'Abyssal Form' of his skill and returned it to its sheath form. Then he quickly sheathed the [Yamato] inside it before positioning the sheathed sword on his front in a horizontal manner.

Then a large ball of fire collided on that sheathed sword as Shin punched it forward. And just like earlier, a cloud of smoke suddenly engulfed him after the explosion. Fortunately, he didn't receive any kind of damage due the 'Combat Technique' that he used.

The Samurai suddenly dived down towards Shin's direction while swinging his sword downwards. But before he could even descend, the cloud of smoke was suddenly split in half as a flash of silver sword wave flew out of it and went towards him.

Shing!

'Class-Fighting Style: Lunar Flash'

Swoosh!

Bang!

The samurai was sent flying in the air due to being caught off-guard.

Shin wanted to give chase but he quickly disregarded that idea as his peripheral vision could see a bunch of icicles arching in the air as they flew towards him. Instead, he gathered some fire elemental mana on the [Yamato] before swinging it leftwards and sending a blazing sword wave at the incoming icicles.

'Extra Skill: Flame Burst'

Swoosh!

Boom!

The icicles immediately turned into vapors of water when the blazing sword wave collided at them.

'Tsk! What a troublesome fellow. I guess I need to deal with you first.' After that, Shin immediately rushed towards the annoying Knight that was throwing a bunch of spells after another.

But he immediately halted his tracks when he saw the Samurai blocking his path. He frowned his eyebrows for a moment when he saw the Samurai before looking at the sky unconsciously, and saw a bunch of black smoke dissipating.

He clicked his tongue when he realized another problem on this quest. "Tsk! Looks like I can't beat them even if I wanted to. I guess surviving on for as long as I can is the only thing that I can do."
