Chapter 236: Mortal's Mistakes
Upon hearing the auburn-haired man's words, Ashley got stupefied for a moment and was about to respond but suddenly froze.
No, something appeared in the deepest part of her Inner World and replaced original consciousness instantly.
The next instant, her brownish eyes turned eerie black and appeared more like a void.
She then looked around for a moment and spoke in an eerie female voice.
"You almost screwed up my plan, mortal." Her voice contains a trace of anger, which caused a heavy invisible ripple to appear in the underground hall.
As the auburn-haired man heard her words, he went stiff for a moment and kowtowed.
"Please forgive this mortal's mistakes, Divine One." His body quivered uncontrollably.
At that moment, a trace of confusion also appeared in his voice.
On the other hand, Ashley raised her hand, created a golden throne out of nothing, and sat on it.
Then, she zeroed her gaze on the kneeling figure and snorted.
"Archbishop Royce… You still didn't realize how you made the mistakes, do you?"
As he heard her cold voice, Archbishop didn't dare to raise his head and stayed silent.
"First, you create an unnecessary variation during our stay in Helm Ville and even send a necromancer to check Charles's prediction ability. I know you weren't aware of my identity but you should have known that I would be staying next to them. Not only you caused a ruckus, but you also manipulated the power of fate, bypassed the plane barrier, and used a roaming dragon to stop him from returning. I know you actually thought of checking the limit of his future prediction ability. Unfortunately, your action almost caused me to lose this body and ruined my whole plan." Her voice was sharp and eerie, which caused Archbishop's face to turn pale in fright.

Before he could even respond, she crossed her legs together and continued.
"Second, you exposed your identity and gave a chance for someone to warn him through coincidences. Emilia Wilson's appearance at Eastford City alerted him greatly, caused him to increase his wisdom power using secret artifact and break through the realm of Rank-4."
"Third, just as we departed from Helm Ville, you once again used your authority and sent a bunch of Rank-3 clowns to check his battle abilities. At that moment, he sensed something was amiss and even started suspecting my identity. Moreover, the female mage Daisy also told him about Ledger's prophecy and legacy and alerted him greatly."
"Fourth, you then used another ghost to probe him further but-" She suddenly stopped for a moment before letting out a deep sigh and added.
"But, he used that chance and probed me! Thankfully, I had no plan on acting against Rhea; otherwise, even I would have fallen for his scheme. If I hadn't released some information about Legacy ring, he wouldn't have let his guard down."
"Still, he got alerted by all these incidents and created an ancient book with the Holem's Crown's help. To my shock, that damned book helped him to perceive the dangers and warned him about me!" A bone-chilling aura enveloped the whole underground hall.
Soon, she calmed down a bit and continued.
"The last mistake, you also perceived another variation in fate, made a sudden plan and tried to harm his Inner World. Unfortunately, that mysterious 'helper' of Charles also saw through your plan and created coincidences to warn him about the danger." She then subconsciously glanced at Bella and frowned.
"Why did you transfer her to this auction house?"
Meanwhile, Archbishop raised his head a little, looked at her feet, and answered with a helpless look on his face.

"Collins family head was the one who asked me to transfer her here, Divine One."
At that moment, the frown on Ashley's forehead deepened.
"Investigate and find out that if he has some tie with Day and Night Church. Rodia seemed to have sensed something. Otherwise, she wouldn't have tried to use the present time and gave a warning to Charles. I have a vague feeling that she might have guessed our plan."
A deep sigh leaked out of her mouth.
"Although he escaped like a slippery eel, I already put something in his soul and made some plan of this hidden threat. When the time comes, even his soul won't survive." A mischievous smile appeared on her face as she said those words.
Then, she thought of something and asked.
"Did Reid find out any clue about how to control the ancestral spirits? If not for this irregular Charles, Rhea would have already gained approval from all the spirits one way or another and our plan could've gone smoother." Anger appeared in her tone as she thought about her original plan.
Because of Charles's appearance, she made many alterations and had long messed up her plan.
Meanwhile, Archbishop Royce shook his head and responded.
"He still hasn't done his research yet."
Ashley furrowed her brows and soon nodded her head.
"Hmm, wait for a while then. Once he had done the research, send the decoys and make Charles complete the mission. I will also give some hints about the ancestral spirits to Rhea and let her go out to search for those souls. Also, try to make a sacrifice and ask for the prediction-related Classes' names from my main body. When my original consciousness created the current 'me,' she didn't add all information about otherworldly Classes and their names. We need to gather some information about his other class."
Archbishop Royce tersely acknowledged his words and spoke.
"We also need to learn more about his fire-related spells, All-Mighty One. Each of his spells appeared unique in its own way."
Meanwhile, Ashley nodded her head and asked another question.
"Indeed. What about Project Destiny? When is my main body planning to start the project?"
Archbishop finally managed to raise his head and responded with a solemn look on his face.
"I don't have much information about this project. After all, I'm just a pawn in Divine's game." He paused for a moment as he smiled awkwardly and then added.
"But I do hear that Edhen's Children members are already beginning to infiltrate deep into all the 23 kingdoms and the four Empires. Our only problem is the City of Miracles and this kingdom. Changing this kingdom's Destiny and taking control of the Destiny Tower is not much of a problem for you, All-Mighty One. But controlling the City of Miracles is completely another matter. After all, three Demi-God level experts are hiding in those three legendary towers."
As Ashley heard those words, she furrowed her brows and soon shook her head.
"No, the four Empires, the other top organizations will also be a big problem for us. Each Empire has tens of legendary mages and one Demi-God. Then, there is this Sun God and his 'stepmother' Rodia… These two also need to be taken care of; otherwise, they will be turned into a big obstacle for our grand project."
