Chapter 248: Act
The next instant, a rumbling sound came from the Inner World, followed by countless runal characters moving towards the purple spell model like butterflies.
Soon, they encircled the [Knowledge Absorber] spell model and started the construction process.
On the other hand, Charles silently hovered in front of the spell model and started to comprehend.
Two days passed in a blink.
By the end of the second day, a purplish light shone in the dark sky!
At that moment, Charles also opened his eyes and focused his attention on the newly created spell model.
'There is already a replica of my consciousness formed inside the spell model.' He nodded with a pleased smile and silently left the Inner World.
A moment later, he opened his eyes, stood up from the floor, and soon noticed Oswald was already seated on the nearby chair.
Upon seeing him opening his eyes, Oswald rubbed his wrinkled chin and spoke.
"I already told that girl to take care of the kids. What's your next plan?"
He stared at Charles in curious.
Meanwhile, Charles shrugged his shoulder and ordered.
"Come out of the clone body. We are going to do something big."
He didn't dare to delay any longer.
"But we created this clone using countless gold coins," Oswald said in an unwilling tone.
The main reason for that was because he finally got a chance to taste the real food! How could he give up such a precious body so easily?
"It's not that hard to create the clone anyway. Come on." Charles urged.
Just as he finished his words, Oswald's body suddenly turned sluggish, and soon a reddish crown came out from the body.
The next instant, it turned into a bracelet, moved towards Charles, and hovered in the air.
On the other hand, Charles caught the bracelet, wore it in his hand, and began to shape-shift.

A few seconds later, he changed his appearance into Vivian, cast [Flame Teleportation] spell, and enveloped his body in a crimson flame before disappearing.
…
Rich Woods, somewhere in Duke Piers' territory,
A humanoid crimson flame suddenly appeared out of nowhere in the blue sky and soon formed into a figure of a 30-35 years old looking silver-haired woman.
She had a square face, sky-blue eyes, and a pale face and wore a black frock coat.
The next instant, two glass-like wings appeared behind her back and flapped on their own.
In Vivian's appearance, Charles scanned the surroundings for a moment and breathed out a sigh of relief.
Then, he took out a silver ring from his space ring, glanced at the red-gem embedded bracelet, and spoke.
"It's time for acting, Mr. Runeth."
Saying so, he activated the communication ring, tuned his voice into Vivian's one, and let out a painful moan.
Simultaneously, he conjured multiple fireballs and threw them in different directions.
At that moment, an anxious voice came from another side.
"W-What happened, Vivian?"
It was Louise!
"T-Teacher, it's the black-haired woman and the Ancient Mage! Both are chasing after me!" While shouting, Charles controlled the crystalline wings, flapped them forcefully, and shot downward towards the woods while shrieking in pain!
Within seconds, Charles crashed onto the ground and coughed loudly in a feminine voice.
Before Louise could even respond from another side, an old man's voice echoed.
"Hohoho, you really are a bad child, aren't you? Let me give you a little punishment."
As the voice ended, Vivian's screaming voice resounded in the forest.
"N-NO! STOP IT! Arrgggg!"
Meanwhile, Louise couldn't hold back her anger and shouted from the other side.
"WHO ARE YOU?! If you lay a finger on my disciple, I will-"
"You will? What? If you that much care for your disciple, you shouldn't have let her leave from your hideout." The Holem's Crown said in a cold tone.

At that moment, Vivian's scream also diminished a little and turned into a panting sound.
"P-Please don't kill my disciple!" Finally, Louise said in an anxious tone.
On the other hand, the Holem's Crown let out a chuckle and spoke casually.
"It depends on how you respond to my request." He paused for a moment as he noticed the other party's silence and added.
"I won't demand like bringing your boss's head or something. What I want is nothing but a few potions. Yeah, I read some of your disciple memory a while ago and learned that your friend is a powerful alchemist. Bring her here. I want to do some transaction with her." He ordered.
On the other hand, Vivian let out a groaning sound and started to cough violently.
"H-How can I trust you that you won't kill my disciple?" Louise asked while gashing her teeth from the other side.
Meanwhile, the Holem's Crown let out a mocking laugh and spoke in the same old man's voice.
"Your disciple's life is not even worthy of my hair, lass. The only reason I'm even keeping her alive is to get some potions from a friend of yours. As long as you bring your friend named Marissa, we can do this transaction peacefully."
Upon hearing his words, Louise went silent for two seconds and asked.
"Where do you want to meet us?"
"Come to the Rich Woods and look for a large forest fire."
Just as the Holem's Crown finished its words, Charles gripped the silver ring, broke the strange blue crystal on the crown area, and cut off the connection.
"Do you really think she will come?" The Holem's Crown couldn't help but ask.
"I wouldn't be surprised if she brought two more Rank-4 Mystics to rescue 'Vivian.' Hehe, she might be throwing a tantrum in the Black Tower by now." Charles shook his head, took out a silver pocket watch from his pocket, flipped the outer case, and checked the timer.
"It's 11.A.M."
He casually closed the outer case, stored the pocket watch in his space ring, moved towards the non-burning area.
Then, he sat under a tree shadow and waited patiently.
One minute, two minutes, three minutes, and soon fifteen minutes passed quietly.
Meanwhile, the Holem's Crown couldn't understand what he was thinking and asked in confusion.
"Are you going to battle against those two peak-level Rank-4 Mystics here?"
"Hmm? What do you think?" A strange smile appeared on Charles's face.
Simultaneously, he took out the pocket watch and once again checked the timer.
"If my guess is not wrong, Louise and Marissa would have left the Black Tower."
As he finished his words, he stood up from the ground, stretched his hands and legs, cast the [Flame Teleportation] spell, and enveloped his body in crimson flame before disappearing!
…
A few seconds later, a long silver-haired woman appeared a few kilometers away from the Whisper's Valley and looked in the direction where the secret underground cave was located.
It was none other than Charles in his disguised form.
He then waited patiently for a few more minutes and began to get close to the cave.
Then, he entered the underground cave, did the usual nether chanting, made a small cut, put a drop of blood on the floor, and disappeared from there!

Eulisses Malinor is a prodigious and somewhat reclusive wizard with an unconventional outlook on life itself. The latter may or may not be related to him shedding the burdens of mortality some time ago. He claims that every wizard that takes pride in themself needs to reside in a tower in the middle of nowhere. It definitely has nothing to do with the Addia fanatics that continue to seek him out. Successfuly, much to his discontent. Ever out to ‘cleanse’ him, or bloody murder him if you'd ask the lich himself. But soon, that will no longer be a problem, as Eulisses has finally gathered every reagent - magical or otherwise he needs. He will tear open and stabilize a miniature Rift, essentially creating his very-own pocket realm in which even Addia’s gaze will no longer be able to reach him. Everything has been carefully planned out in advance, so there is no possibility of failure. You can maybe then imagine his bafflement, when instead of the nothingness of his successfully created pocket realm, Eulisses finds himself in a quite holy looking hall, amidst quite too-baffled looking fellows, in the centre of a gigantic summoning circle - allegedly, he cannot read the runes that make it up - and facing a young and quite fair maiden that stares at him quite wide-eyed.
