Murim Recurve Chapter 234

The moment his third eye opened, a fluctuation pulsed out from his body, causing all the Elemental Qi in his surroundings to tremble once. Then, he looked around, now able to see the Elemental Qi makeup of everything.
He looked at the Blinded Ghost first, gazing onto the pair of eyes onto its front, noticing a tough cord trail from them to the figure of Re'Kha that was still paralysed in one of the rooms. "…"
He then looked at the other three Sha, noticing a tiny condensed fragment in the centre of their forms, "Artificially nurtured…Sha. Such audacity to do this on my land."
Followed by a flash, four other figures landed beside him. They were the remaining Elders of the Burfuna Royal Clan. And, upon seeing his stance and the fact that he had opened his third eye, they immediately understood the gist of the situation, sighing as they too removed their gowns and Tikka jewellery.
And at the same time, three individuals arrived from each direction. They were the respective Elders of each Elemental Clan. And, each had arrived carrying a couple of Elemental Qi Essences respectively.
The moment they arrived, they activated it and scattered them in the surroundings. All sorts of Elemental Qi radiated and clashed with the Ghost Qi in the centre. Moreover, within its interior, Lightning Qi began to form bit by bit, slowly increasing its area by destroying the Ghost Qi little by little.
The Elder from the Burfuna Royal Clan, the one that had arrived first seemed the head of the group as he gave his commands to the Elders from the Elemental Clans, "Two from each, scatter and search our surroundings for their shells. As for the final one, form a perimeter. Prevent the Sha from escaping. And, be ready the moment they try to retreat into their shells."

He then looked at the four Elders standing beside him, "We'll take on the four Sha. Don't go all out. Prolong it as much as possible so that they don't try to run away."
"Got it," Followed by her word, one of the Elders jumped and headed right into the sea of Ghost Qi. She took out a fan-shaped Magic Artifact and activated it, emitting dense Lightning Qi. She just continued to wave it, forming mild gales while her body continued to fall.
But, followed by a spark, a pair of wings condensed around her hands, made from Fire Qi. She flapped her hands and flew as swiftly as a bird, approaching the Serpentine Sha. Then, she condensed a massive sword from Metal Qi and swung it into the Serpentine Sha, wounding it.
The Serpentine Sha defended with its arms, trying to retaliate by destroying her wings. The Elder continued to fly away while her wings were continuously eaten up by the Ghost Qi in the surroundings.
They immediately exchanged numerous attacks, with neither ending up as the victor. In the meantime, the other Elders too began to take action, attacking the four Sha. As for the Elders from the Elemental Clans, only one from each stayed behind to form a perimeter around the scene while the rest hopped from one building to another in search of the Sha's shells.
When they were active, there was a greater chance to detect their shells. So, they didn't wish to miss this opportunity. Besides, this was the reason the Elders hadn't gone all out in their fight yet. It was to prolong the battle for as long as possible.
After all, the moment they were threatened, the Sha would swiftly retreat into its shell. And by retreating, it was akin to teleportation as it would disappear without any traces.

The Clan Heads too had recovered by now as they intended to take part in the fight. But, the moment they tried to attack, they were warned by the Elders to stay put and act afraid. And upon seeing how the Elders had a plan in motion, they didn't say otherwise.
"How long has it been since I last saw them fight?" The Clan Head of Burfuna Vi Clan looked at the ongoing fight, watching the Elders from the Burfuna Royal Clan wield three elements at the same time, as if the collisions of Elemental Qi didn't apply to them. "That's the realm of Martial Masters."
They just watched the fight as the Elders attacked the Sha relentlessly. One of them condensed a massive pike using Metal Qi and threw it, impaling the Serpentine Sha to the ground. It wasn't able to move as the part of its body surrounding the Metal Qi pike began to melt.
But it swiftly absorbed the surrounding Ghost Qi and healed itself, flying towards the Elder with rage as it punched in a flurry. Each of its attacks was strong, making the Elder retreat haphazardly. But every time he was close to suffering damage, the Elder condensed a pair of Fire Qi wings around his hands and flew away, swerving through the air before counterattacking.
And at the time, the moment they spotted any weak points, they used Lightning Qi attacks. This way, the Sha too had to be on guard. And most of the time, to conserve their Elemental Qi, they just resorted to using their Magic Artifacts.
And unlike the Clans, as an Elder, they had their personal Magic Artifacts to use, each of which was one of the best in terms of quality among Magic Artifacts. They were putting up a considerable fight, considering they were facing a Sha on the same level as themselves.
The one fighting the Kite Sha was just about to slam a couple of Fire Qi Palm Projections on a ribbon flying his way when he turned around in shock, noticing the figure of an Elder be sent flying past him.
The Elder crashed into the auction walls and slid towards the ground, heavily injured. Shocked, he looked around to see the source was the Blinded Ghost. It had consumed another eye to unleash a powerful Palm Projection, sending the Elder it was fighting against flying.

Conquest Of Mortem
*NOTE* This novel is a war of attrition. To say anything less is a disservice to its demand. While comparable to other such works as Ulysses or Moby Dick, each sentence in Conquest is an enemy to be tackled. Not in the ways of difficulty but in absurd density that wishes nothing more than to destroy what patience you may have. Do not tackle chapters as you would ordinary chapters in an ordinary book. Tackle each chapter as a book unto itself. A foe to be vanquished, a period of life to leave behind. Seek to be master of this work. Seek to overcome. For in its design is the willpower, and the perseverance, and the strength of someone who sought meaning in struggle. As I discovered these in times of ultimate desperation, so I hope for you to discover these things. This novel is a love letter to your trials. May you overcome them. May you master them. May you become conquerer.- SeedSagaA literary epic for logophiles, philosophers, and poets alike. A journey into zeitgeist, the impact of media on culture, and the endurance of morality against an onslaught of hatred. These vague descriptions do little to compact Conquest's density into a bite-size summary. They do however relate the basest themes found within. A plot, if such can be surmised, is strung thinly across multiple perspectives, weaving together these concepts into a seemingly distorted tapestry of indecipherable events. Inspired by early 20th century modernism, Conquest will challenge the reader, and provide critique on the medium upon which all great stories are derived. Further interpretation is up to you now; an explorer among a sea of words. Venture on and discover what lies ahead, in...CONQUEST OF MORTEM
