Chapter 860: Demon Revelation Mirror
Translator: KurazyTolanzuraytor Editor: JayC
“What? All of you are thinking of going against me?” The bandit leader at the seventh level of the Void Interpretation Stage had a gloomy expression as he looked at the three subordinates before him.
These three subordinates didn’t even dare make a noise before him in the past, let alone arouse killing intent towards him.
“Kill!” the three sixth level Void Interpretation Stage bandits shouted out explosively as they directly made a move against the bandit leader, and they struck out with their full strength as soon as they made a move and struck straight towards the bandit leader’s vital points without showing the slightest mercy.
“Have all of you gone mad?” The bandit leader shouted out furiously, yet didn’t launch an attack, and he only avoided the attacks of the three bandits while shouting out explosively at the same time.
However, the three bandits seemed as if they’d utterly not heard him, and they continued launching attacks at him.
In the end, the bandit leader realized that something was off.
But the successive attacks of these three bandits caused him to be unable to divert his attention to think about it, so he could only attack with rage and launch an attack that covered the heavens and the earth to envelop the three bandits.
The strength of a seventh level Void Interpretation Stage martial artist was revealed completely!
When compared to the sixth level of the Void Interpretation Stage, there was like a distance of a chasm with the strength of the seventh level of the Void Interpretation Stage, and it was a completely new leap in strength.
Unless a sixth level Void Interpretation Stage martial artist had a special ability, otherwise, the martial artist would be completely helpless before a seventh level Void Interpretation Stage martial artist.
In the time of 10 breaths, the bandit leader had killed all three of his subordinates with rage.
After he killed them, he returned to his senses, and his gaze descended onto Ke Zheng as he asked with a low voice. “What did you do to them”
Ke Zheng had just recovered from his shock when he heard the words of the bandit leader, and he was slightly speechless for some time.
What had he done?
From the beginning until the end, he seemed to have been only standing at the side and watching the show, right?
In next to no time, the bandit leader took a deep breath, and he who’d calmed down his feelings felt he scalp go slightly numb when he recalled the scene from before.
“Hmph! I’ll spare all of you today.” After he grunted coldly, the bandit leader maintained a posture that caused him to not lose to others in bearing as he flashed out to transform into a bolt of lightning, and he intended to leave this place.
He’d noticed an aura of danger on the four people.
“Since you’ve come, then don’t leave.” An aged voice seemed to sound out from all directions.
Subsequently, a figure appeared out of thin air in the way of the bandit leader.
It was Ke Zheng.
The bandit leader’s expression instantly went pale when he saw a figure appear like a ghost before him and even he was unable to catch this figure, and he said in panic, “You… You’re an expert at the Void Transformation Stage?!”

Ke Zheng didn’t answer the bandit leader, and he looked at the bandit leader with a calm expression and a gaze that didn’t contain any emotion.
“Senior, spare me! Senior, spare me!” Under the astounded gazes of Duan Ling Tian, Ye Xuan, and Chen Wei, the bandit leader, a dignified martial artist at the seventh level of the Void Interpretation Stage actually knelt before Ke Zheng and ceaselessly begged for mercy.
“A qualified martial artist ought to be of unyielding and firm character and unafraid of death… A cowardly person that’s afraid of death like you isn’t worthy to be a martial artist!” Ke Zheng’s face went cold. With a raise of his hand, vast flames swept out to envelop the bandit leader’s body and instantly burned him into ash.
From the beginning until the end, the bandit leader didn’t even have the chance to let out a shrill cry.
“How formidable!” Ye Xuan who lay on Duan Ling Tian’s back spoke with a dumbstruck expression.
“Seventh level of the Void Transformation Stage!” Even though the old man held back when he attacked, Duan Ling Tian was still able to notice an inkling from his Origin Energy that was fused with Advanced Fire Concept.
After all, he’d fused with the lifetime worth of memories of the Rebirth Martial Emperor. Even though he was temporarily unable to use his Spiritual Force to detect the old man’s cultivation, yet he was still capable of noticing some things with his eyes.
“With Elder Ke’s strength, his status in the Wood Peak is probably not low.” Duan Ling Tian guessed in his heart.
Meanwhile, Duan Ling Tian’s eyes flashed as a figure appeared before him, and it was precisely Ke Zheng who’d killed the bandit leader before coming to stare at him with a burning gaze.
“Elder Ke.” Duan Ling Tian felt uneasy and slightly embarrassed when being stared like this by Ke Zheng.
“You used an ability similar to an illusory realm when dealing with those eight bandits earlier?” Finally, Ke Zheng spoke out and asked with slight surprise.
“It isn’t similar… What I executed earlier was an illusory realm ability.” Duan Ling Tian spoke truthfully.
“I didn’t sense any aura or fluctuation of Inscriptions or Inscription Formations… In other words, you used your own Spiritual Force to execute an ability similar to a soul skill and constructed an illusory realm?” Ke Zheng’s breathing became slightly hurried.
“Yes.” Duan Ling Tian nodded, and he couldn’t deny this.
“You wouldn’t be a ‘Demon,’ right?” Ke Zheng sized up Duan Ling Tian from top to bottom as he asked with a doubtful expression.
Duan Ling Tian was instantly speechless when he heard this.
“This won’t do. I have to verify it.” Ke Zheng spoke abruptly.
“How?” Duan Ling Tian was stunned.
“You’ll know soon enough.” Ke Zheng glanced at Duan Ling Tian with ill intent as he took out an ancient copper mirror that flowed with strands of faint flowing lights.
“Demon Revelation Mirror?” Duan Ling Tian was completely speechless when he saw the thing in Ke Zheng’s hand. “Senior… Is there a need for this?”
A Demon Revelation Mirror wasn’t anything rare in Cloud Continent.

Any grade three Weapons Craftsman or above was capable of refining it so long as they possessed the materials.
The Demon Revelation Mirror wasn’t a spirit weapon and only had a single function, and it was to verify is a person was a ‘Demon’ that had taken human form.
So long as it was a person who was a ‘Demon’ that took human form, once they were reflected on the surface of this mirror, it wouldn’t show their human appearance but their real appearance instead.
“Let me see if you’re a ‘Demon’ that has taken human form or not, little freak.” Ke Zheng held up the Demon Revelation Mirror and aimed it at Duan Ling Tian before looking towards the surface of the mirror.
He couldn’t help but heave a sigh of relief when he saw it was still Duan Ling Tian that appeared on the surface of the mirror.
Now, he could be completely certain that Duan Ling Tian was a pure human and not a ‘Demon.’
“You’re not a Demon, so how could you possible execute a Spiritual Force ability similar to a soul skill?” Even though he’d confirmed Duan Ling Tian wasn’t a Demon, Ke Zheng still couldn’t help but ask curiously.
According to his knowledge, unless a human martial artist was at the Martial Emperor Stage, otherwise, it would be utterly impossible to utilize Spiritual Force against one’s enemies, yet Duan Ling Tian had gone against this convention.
“Senior, you wouldn’t have not heard of Variants, right?” Duan Ling Tian’s eyes narrowed as he intentionally led Ke Zheng astray.
Variant?!
Ke Zheng was completely petrified when he heard Duan Ling Tian.
As an elder of the Five Element Sect, how could he not know of the existence of Variants?
Variants were lives given birth to by the union of man and Demon. They were either mediocre or possessed extraordinary natural talent, and the latter even possessed unique Innate Abilities.
However, Variants could be considered to be rare in the entire Cloud Continent, and only some top first-rate powers had Variants existing in their sects.
The Five Element Sect could be considered to be an overlord in the eastern area of the northern desert, but it was only a third-rate sect in the entire Cloud Continent, and it wasn’t worth mentioning.
So he’d utterly not thought of Duan Ling Tian as a Variant at the beginning because he didn’t dare think in that way.
“You, you…” Ke Zheng looked at Duan Ling Tian and was slightly unable to speak clearly, and his heart was filled with indescribable excitement.
A Variant!
I’ve actually encountered a Variant of legend!
Moreover, this Variant is about to join my Five Element Sect and become a disciple of my Wood Peak.
“HAHAHAHA… HAHAHAHA…” Under Duan Ling Tian, Ye Xuan, and Chen Wei’s dumbstruck gazes, Ke Zheng roared with laughter into the sky without the slightest reason, and his laughter sounded out far and wide.
Duan Ling Tian was able to hear happiness from Ke Zheng’s laughter, and he naturally guessed why Ke Zheng would be so happy.
Finally, Ke Zheng restrained his laughter.
Now Ke Zheng had no doubts in his heart towards the ability Duan Ling Tian had executed earlier.
Innate Ability!
“Big Brother Duan, what’s a Variant? Why is Elder Ke so excited after hearing about it?” Ye Xuan lay on Duan Ling Tian’s back and asked curiously.
“A Variant is a type of unusual existence… You can understand them as existence that can’t be described with convention.” Duan Ling Tian explained with a smile.
Ye Xuan nodded without fully understanding what Duan Ling Tian said.
“Let’s go!” After the wave of loud laughter earlier, Ke Zheng seemed to have completely wiped away the unhappiness he felt previously, and he seemed to be radiating joy.
“Duan Ling Tian, thank you.” Suddenly, Chen Wei arrived by Duan Ling Tian’s side and thanked Duan Ling Tian from the bottom of his heart.
“What’re you thanking me for?” Duan Ling Tian was stunned.
“Thank you for making Master be so happy.” Chen Wei sighed. “Since the day I became Master’s disciple, he placed great hopes on me because of the situation of the Wood Peak at that time… Even though he didn’t say anything up until now, yet I know he’s disappointed.”
“Chen Wei, there’s something I don’t understand.” Duan Ling Tian frowned.
“Hmm?” Chen Wei looked at Duan Ling Tian with a perplexed expression and asked. “What?”
“I keep having the feeling that Elder Ke seems to have an extremely unusual feeling towards the Wood Peak… His concern towards the Wood Peak is completely unlike the concern a Wood Peak elder ought to have.” Duan Ling Tian said with a low voice, “If it was another person, then perhaps the person would think that Elder Ke is the Peak Master of Wood Peak and not an elder.”
“You noticed?” Chen Wei was slightly surprised when he heard Duan Ling Tian, and then he said, “Actually, it isn’t a secret… Master is the foster son the Wood Peak’s last Peak Master took in, and he’d grown up in the Wood Peak, causing him to completely take the Wood Peak as his home.”
“To him, the Wood Peak’s decline is similar to the decline of his home.” Chen Wei laughed bitterly.
“So that’s how it is.” Duan Ling Tian came to a sudden understanding. Never had he imagined that Elder Ke would have such a relationship with the Wood Peak, and since it was like this, everything seemed to fall into place.
At dusk, Duan Ling Tian saw a city situated on the plains below, and it was like a colossus in a green and picturesque illusory realm.
“That’s Settlement City,” said Chen Wei.
“Mmm.” Duan Ling Tian nodded, and then he looked straight at the city ahead.
Even though the Settlement City was inferior to the Ancient Desert City, yet it wasn’t smaller than the Capitals of the Darkhan Dynasty and Darming Dynasty.
Duan Ling Tian’s group of three followed Ke Zheng to enter the city, and they quickly walked into a vast estate.
“Elder Ke!” Everywhere Elder Ke passed, the people that were bustling about all around the estate would bow respectfully towards him.
