“I can’t just stay idle and watch you die,” Qing Huo replied.

“You can’t watch me die?” Gan Ru Yan smiled bitterly. “Master… Do you think I’ll be able to live with myself if he dies because of me?”

Qing Huo trembled when he heard Gan Ru Yan’s words. Then, he sighed. “My girl… I’m wrong this time around.” He did not expect his disciple to be so unyielding!

Gan Ru Yan was about to persuade Duan Ling Tian to leave when a voice rang out in the distance.

“So you’re Duan Ling Tian?!” The person who had spoken appeared with a middle-aged man in tow.
