Hidden Marriage With My Imperfect CEO Chapter 47

Aiden stepped out onto the balcony carrying his vibrating cell phone. After he got out, he slightly closed the balcony door so that the wind would not enter his room. He didn't want Anya to get sick from the night wind.
"What are the results of the investigation?" Aiden continued to walk to the end of the balcony and put his hands on the balcony railing. The night sky looked very dark, and neither the moon nor the stars could be seen. The wind continued to blow, but it didn't make Aiden feel cold in the slightest.
"Sir, I've been looking for a pharmacist who mixes your medicine. He died because he slipped and fell from the balcony of his house." Harris said from the end of the phone.
A cold smile appeared on Aiden's face, making his handsome face look creepy, "Imel is very smart. She moved so fast!"
He turned and leaned his back against the fence. His eyes were fixed on the tiny body that was sleeping on the bed. He wanted to make sure Anya was still fast asleep and didn't wake up. His eyes softened when he stared at Anya's sleeping figure on his bed.
"I also met one of his colleagues. The colleague said that the pharmacist was the only one who dispensed the medicine for you." Harris said.
"Come back, Harris. There's no point in staying there. The person who made the medicine is dead. The testimony of his colleague was not strong enough. You won't be able to find enough evidence to bring down Imel." Aiden said quietly.
Harris was very reluctant. He was annoyed that he could not find concrete evidence to ensnare Imel even though they knew who had done all this.
Since Aiden's accident, Imel had been trying to harm Aiden to the point of being completely insane. That woman had gone crazy.
"Sir, all signs point to Mrs. Imel. Let me give all the evidence to Mr. Bima and let Mr. Bima take care of it!" Harris said hastily. He was not willing if his investigation was stopped without success.

"No!" Aiden replied firmly, "We can't let my father find out about this plan. We will still investigate Imel in secret. Now, come back!"
"Yes sir!" Although he felt reluctant, Harris did not dare to oppose Aiden's decision, "Sir, I just received information that Mr. Ivan will return to Indonesia next month to attend your father's birthday party."
Ivan…
Ivan Atmajaya…
The Atmajaya family was blessed with three sons. Ardan Atmajaya and Aiden Atmajaya were the sons of Bima Atmajaya and Vina. Meanwhile Ivan Atmajaya was the second son, the illegitimate son of Bima Atmajaya and Bima's mistress, Imel.
In the past, Ardan, Aiden's brother, was the main company president of the Atmajaya Group and Ivan was its vice president. At that time, Aiden was given the responsibility of handling the overseas branches of the Atmajaya Group company.
However, Ardan unexpectedly suffered from heart disease and died suddenly in his office.
At that time, Ardan's son, Nico, also worked at the Atmajaya Group company as a head manager. However, because of his young age, he could not replace his father to lead the company. He was still inexperienced to replace his father's position.
In order for the Atmajaya Group not to fall into the hands of Bima's mistress, Aiden had to return to Indonesia to take over his brother's position.
After Ardan's death, Ivan who served as vice president naturally had a great chance of taking over the entire company. However, as the son of Bima Atmajaya's legal wife, Aiden rushed home and took over his brother's position.
Aiden forcibly sent Ivan overseas to take care of a foreign branch of the company. He wanted to send the man away from Indonesia so that he could not take over the Atmajaya Group. Abroad, Ivan absolutely had no power because the overseas branch company was a company that Aiden had built from scratch. Only Aiden had the power there.

Now, Ivan Atmajaya was going home to visit his father. It seemed like a big storm would hit the Atmajaya Family.
Even though Aiden had started walking again after the accident that happened to him, his eyes were still blind. Maybe this was the perfect time for Imel and Ivan to kick him out of the company.
"Just let him come back. It's easier to handle this mother and child head on." Aiden replied coldly with a snort.
"But sir, your eyes..." As someone who was always beside Aiden, Harris could certainly see his master's attitude. Often he felt that his Master was acting like a normal person, as if he could see. It made him guess that Aiden could see again. However, he didn't know how far Aiden's eyes had recovered. He was worried about Aiden. The master had not fully recovered. He didn't want to let Aiden lose his sight again.
"I will slowly recover. We will observe the situation for a few days before going abroad to look for other alternative treatments." Aiden said calmly.
"Yes sir. Forgive me for being too reckless." After presenting all the reports to Aiden, Harris felt calmer than ever. At the time of the investigation, it was as if he was overcome by adrenaline and he acted very recklessly.
"Hmm…be patient. I won't just forgive Imel, I won't just let that woman go. We'll wait until she shows her true self." Aiden's face might've looked very calm when he said that, but his brain was spinning hard, thinking of plans to take down his opponent. He would not remain silent if someone tried to harm him.
After hanging up the phone, Aiden immediately returned to his room. He closed the balcony door and walked to his bed.
He saw Anya's tiny body on the bed moving restlessly. Her forehead was slightly sweating from a nightmare that had disturbed her sleep.
"Aiden ... I'm afraid…" She said softly.
Aiden approached Anya and saw that the woman still closed her eyes. Anya was still sleeping and she was talking in her dream.
"Aiden ... Are we going to die?" She asked in a low voice.
Aiden stroked Anya's hair, trying to calm her down to return to her deep sleep. He kissed her forehead gently, "Do not be afraid. I'm here…"
But it was useless, Anya was moving restlessly and her sweat was pouring out even more.
"Aiden, you can't die. I won't let you die. Come out…"
Tears started rolling down Anya's face. She cried so hard as she kept calling Aiden's name.
"Anya, wake up! Wake up…" Aiden shook Anya's body to wake her up from her nightmare.
From deep in her sleep, Anya could feel the shock on her body so that her eyes opened immediately. She saw Aiden sitting beside her with a face drenched in tears. When she saw Aiden, she immediately got up and hugged him tightly.
"Aiden, you are okay. Nothing happened to you!" Anya buried her face in Aiden's neck. Tears still streamed down her face, soaking the pajamas Aiden was wearing. However, Anya didn't care, she was too upset because of the nightmare she was having. The dream felt so real.
Aiden gently patted Anya's back as if calming a child who was having a nightmare, "It's just a nightmare. Don't think about it. I am fine!"
Aiden knew the nightmares that haunted Anya. He knew the incident very clearly, but he couldn't tell Anya the truth. He did not have the heart to tell all that to Anya...

The Trespasser
Synopsis Following his di—instincts, David finds himself in a weird situation; the next thing he knows, he's in a different world, dying, and manhandled by a big-ass alien. When the Source comes to his aid, granting him the access that—like every other sapient—he's due, David barely manages to get out of the fight with his life intact, but is that enough? Of course it isn't. The very Source giving him powers is also poisoning him to death. Oh, there she is, the petite female alien. Will that be enough to save him? Of course it won't. If he wants to be saved, he has first to save himself. The only way to do so is by getting to know the world around him, but even before that... Why the bloody hell did I have to be called Deviant!? *** Blurb? Blurb. The Trespasser starts slowly, I believe I've written a decent world, and I want you to find out what it's all about, won't just throw it in your face because of *levels*. I do not like stories that don't make sense. David is not a murderhobo, he respects life and answers to the world and the weird situations thrown at him with irony and sarcasm; so you are looking for easy killing streaks, you will not find them here. So, a man finds himself into the wild? It's a different world, and yet he can breathe its air? Finds himself in a lucky-low-level zone? Oh, look at that, people speak English—how likely is that? So, nope, not for me, gentleman. You won't find anything of the likes here. Again, a man finds himself in a new world but only thinks about the system? Yeah, that's not exactly how it works. David will try to find out what it's really all about, what the aliens want, how they work, why is that Fay really helping him? You can kill somebody to get levels, and yet there is not even a form of police? Not gonna happen here. Man becomes suddenly overpowered in a world where people can live for thousands of years by having enough luck to face only lower-level people? Hahaha—nope. Lastly...Spaceships and fantasy with LitRPG... say what!? Well, what's wrong with that? Let's make it happen, shall we? *** You want even more info? Really? Alright... David will start from the very bottom of the food chain, so there will be a settling arc—it's inevitable. David will find true companions, with personalities and backstories, and they will have a life of their own. There will be enemies, and those enemies will have a life of their own, too; there will be no evil just because. The world-building will have true depth; it will not exist just because the protagonist visits it. There will be both Fantasy and (Soft) Sci-fi—yeah, you heard that right. There will be rationality to every action taken, as long as the characters are aware of what is going on. There will be a godly system. You will come to read because of the world-building, but you will stay for the characters. The dead stay dead, and you will weep for them. There will be no action without a reaction. Lastly, there will be laughs. Are you still up for it? Then get in but fasten your seatbelts because it's going to be a wild ride. *** Release Days: Twice a week Release Time: ~09:00 PM UTC Words per chapter: ~3000 This web novel is also available on other platforms.

Nobody's Way
Foreign Thorn: Book 1 For eight centuries, the people of Isla have wanted for nothing. The Creator, Maere, uses Her power not only to keep them healthy and fed, but also to map the direction of each person's future Path - their vocation, role in society, and even the partner they'll spend their life with. In a world where infighting once threatened the very survival of humankind, the old texts say that Maere personally stepped in to help guide Her creations to harmony. All is not well among the people of the northern lands, however, as Jian discovers when she receives her own long-awaited Path. The Creator has chosen to favour some towns, but not others, leading to anarchy and unrest in the east, and fierce distrust between the neighbours who enjoy Her protection and those who don't. After many nights of disturbing premonitions, visions of a face uncannily familiar to her, and a voice beckoning her to "Homeland," Jian decides she needs to find answers for herself. She hires Madrigal, a surly young traveller hailing from an "unblessed" village, to take her to the southern lands. The swordsman is on the run from something, or someone, but Jian has no choice but to trust him. When the two leave the safety of the familiar and meet Quinn, a mysterious boy who seems to know more about Jian than she does about herself, it becomes clear that there are forces besides the old magics, forces completely unknown to the people of Isla, in play. Madrigal and Jian aren't sure if Quinn can be trusted, but they're certain he knows more than he's letting on...
