When she arrived at Esther's office, Anya knocked on the door, "Mrs. Irena, I heard that you were looking for me?"

Irena turned around and looked at Anya coldly, "Anya, since you were with Aiden, it seems like your character has gotten worse. You even made me wait a long time."

"I was just serving guests at the shop and I can't just leave them. I apologize for the inconvenience." Anya politely said.

Irena just snorted at Anya's apology.

"I just started working at this place a few days ago and I'm still on probation. I dare not just leave my customers. I am sorry. What can I do for you?" She continued to ask calmly.

"You know what I want. Raisa is in the police station because of you. Why am I looking for you? Of course you know why!" Irena replied angrily.

Obviously, who wouldn't understand that Irena came to help her daughter? But it seemed that she forgot that she was asking for help— a cooperation to be precise, right now.

Under a situation like this, Irena was still being arrogant as if she was above everybody else. As if Anya was just a lowly woman who was no match for her. She didn't realize that only Anya could save her daughter now.

"Have you come to apologize on behalf of Raisa?" Anya asked on purpose.

"You…" Irena felt so angry at the question, "Why does Raisa have to apologize to you? What did she do to you?"

"Are you genuinely not aware or do you pretend that you don't know?" Anya asked while returning Irena's gaze.

"What do you want? Money?" Like most rich people, Irena was accustomed to throwing her money for free. For her, money could solve everything, especially if it involved a poor woman like Anya.

However, the woman standing before her was no longer the same Anya she used to know.

"Are you going to write a check for me and get someone to take the check back after Raisa is released?" Anya's face looked cold. She didn't even bother to talk to Irena using polite language because she knew that the woman in front of her didn't deserve to be treated politely. It seemed like the fruit didn't fall far from the tree. She understood why Raisa grew up to be a woman like she was today. It's all because her mother also had the same traits.

Irena's face changed when she heard what Anya said. A little panic radiated from her, but she tried to remain calm, "I don't understand what you mean."

"Is it true? Or are you pretending you don't understand anymore? I am no longer Anya who is seventeen years old and blinded by your son's fake love. Whatever you are doing right now won't change anything. I don't want your money. I just want Raisa to take responsibility for what she does. If Raisa doesn't want to apologize, just leave her in jail and think about her mistakes." Anya said coldly.

Irena's body trembled while holding back her anger. She shouted loudly at Anya, "Anya! When you were ten years old, you deliberately pushed your stepmother down and caused her miscarriage. If I didn't protect you then, your father would have killed you. Why are you repaying me in this way instead?"

"I remember your kindness at that time and for three years, I held back and accepted all your family's treatment of me." Anya said with a bitter smile.

"My family's treatment? My family has never done anything bad to you!" Irena continued to play dumb.

"Three years ago, after someone robbed the check, I immediately called the police and so far I haven't ended the case. Robbery is a serious crime and the sentence can be up to ten years in prison." Anya firmly explained with confidence. She deliberately rambled on to make Irena even more panicked.

"I don't know if Raisa told you this. Aiden helped me to find out who cashed the check." Anya said casually.

"What?!" Irena got up from her chair.

"I didn't tell Raka and let him keep thinking that I parted with him because of money. But you don't have to play dumb in front of me. I am not an innocent girl, who is lonely and stupid, and you can deceive like three years ago." Anya's voice sounded cold.

Irena did not think Aiden would help Anya to investigate the check. She couldn't hide this anymore. The secrets would be soon revealed. That's why she glared sharply at Anya and said, "What do you want?"

Anya just realized that the woman whom she had considered her helper since she was a child turned out to be so rotten inside. She used to see this woman before her as an angel who did everything for her son and daughter. But now, she could clearly see the real face of the woman in front of her. This woman was just as cunning as a fox…

"Tell Raisa to admit her mistake and apologize to me in front of the media. If you want to destroy my reputation by telling me what happened three years ago, I will reopen the investigation regarding the robbery that happened to me. Maybe I can't find anything. But Aiden can help me to dismantle everything!" Anya threatened.

Irena sneered at Anya's words, "Do you think Aiden will fight the Mahendra Family just for you?"

Anya wasn't sure, but she knew that now she could no longer step back. She had to keep pressing Irena and making her panic.

"Do you want to try it?" Anya said, grinning.

"You…" Irena stomped her feet angrily.

She had heard the news that Aiden had canceled his engagement to the Tedjasukmana Family just for this woman. Deny and Natali Tedjasukamana also received harsh punishments for making Aiden feel angry.

Everyone said that Aiden was blind, cruel and psychopathic. However, it seemed like Anya was living a very happy life. In fact, she was very spoiled by Aiden. The man was willing to do anything for Anya.

It seemed Irena had underestimated Anya all this time.

"Anya, Raisa is my only daughter. If there is a mistake she made, you can tell me right away. I'll teach her a lesson when I get home. But you can't let her be in the police station." Irena tried to soften her voice when she realized she couldn't win against Aiden.

She stepped forward and held Anya's hand, as if trying to show the warmth of a mother in front of her.

"The relationship between the Mahendra Family and the Tedjasukmana Family is very close. Have you forgotten how I treated you first? You're even very close to Raka. Isn't doing this to Raisa the same as hurting Raka?" Irena continued to try to persuade Anya to let her drop her charges on Raisa.

"Of course, I remember all your kindness so I hold myself back when Raisa acts so recklessly in front of me. But the situation is different this time. Raisa said that I received some money to part with Raka but still teased him anyway, taking the opportunity to have an affair with Raka while Aiden was out of the country. She even said that I kept Raka all night so he didn't come home."

"Luckily, Aiden trusted me and sent his assistant and lawyer. Another man might have kicked me away from his life. I just want Raisa to take responsibility and restore my good name. Is it wrong?" She continued.

Irena frowned and said, "Raisa hasn't had a boyfriend until now. If she apologizes in public and embarrasses herself, which man would want to marry her?"

"Then, is it better for me to suffer, to be humiliated by your daughter in public? Let me be the one who was humiliated and no man would want to marry me?"

"Of course not! You're with Aiden. Even if you don't marry him, you will still have enough for the rest of your life!" Irena replied.

Anya was only silent when she heard Irena's answer. It was true that everyone was always concerned about her personal affairs and did not care about the fate of others. Irena didn't care what happened to Anya as long as Raisa was fine.

"How about I explain it to the media?" Irena negotiated when she realized that Anya was adamant.

Her plan was the same as Raka's. It's true that the fruit didn't fall from the tree. They were all very similar.

But after all, Anya was a soft hearted woman. She could not bear to see the woman in front of her kept begging for the sake of her spoiled baby. It made her think of her own mother, "I'll think about it."

"How long did it take you to think?" Irena continued to urge Anya, "Raisa has been spoiled since she was a child. She can't spend the night behind bars."
