Hidden Marriage With My Imperfect CEO Chapter 112

While the internet was on rage at her, Anya was still sleeping soundly in her room. She didn't know anything and didn't care about what's going on on the internet.
After breakfast, Anya left for work as usual. She arrived promptly at eight in the morning at the Rose Scent.
As soon as she entered the shop, Ben immediately said to her, "Anya, Mrs. Esther is back. She asked you to come upstairs immediately. "
"Fine." Anya changed into work clothes and went upstairs to meet Esther.
Esther was sitting in her chair and reading the news from the internet.
Even if people had freedom to speak, it didn't mean they could just talk about whatever they wanted without considering how others might feel. Some of their words were very unpleasant to read. Everyone thought of Anya as a woman with a bad personality and would do anything for revenge.
"Good morning, Mrs. Esther." Anya entered Esther's office carrying a cup of hot coffee.
"Sit down!" Said Esther.
Anya put down the coffee she was carrying, but she didn't sit down. Instead, she stepped back and bowed before Esther, "Miss Esther, I apologize for causing a bad influence on Rose Scent because of my personal business."
"It's not your fault. I really don't like people who make noise, but I also don't like people who are cowardly. You did your best." A faint smile appeared on Esther's lips.
"So... you don't blame me?" Anya looked at Esther in surprise.
"Why should I blame you?" Esther laughed, "I heard from Ben, you serve a couple to make their perfume and make them very satisfied with your service. They really appreciate your help."
"It's my duty to serve them with heart, Mrs. Esther" Anya said, smiling shyly.
"Usually, I make the basic ingredients in a special perfume manufacturing area. You can change it or add some new basic ingredients as you like. You will work there." Esther gave this responsibility to Anya. She appreciated Anya's work and entrusted the task to her.
"Thank you, Mrs. Esther. I'll do my best!" Anya accepted the assignment with gusto.

"I have to go this morning. When I come back this afternoon, you and I will go into the perfume room." Said Esther.
Anya's eyes lit up at Esther's words. She could enter the perfume's manufacturing room!
The room that Esther meant was a room for making perfumes. It was not like Esther's highly sophisticated laboratory. Still, it was filled with various sophisticated equipment. There was a large glass window on one side of the room, so guests who wanted to see how their perfume was made could see from the outside.
Esther was also one of the famous parfumeur in this city. Her fame almost matched Amore's. That's why Anya was willing to work in this place. She wanted to learn a lot from Esther at Rose Scent.
Of course she would be very happy if Esther would invite her to work in the perfume room as an assistant. She was looking forward to it!
This morning, everything felt calm. Nothing bothered Anya and no one caused a fuss at the shop. The woman could breathe freely and do her job calmly.
At lunchtime, Anya took out her cell phone and sent Aiden a voice message.
'Are you sleeping?' She asked.
Aiden immediately replied to the message, 'After yesterday's treatment, my eyes can see hazy shadows, but still can't see the light clearly. Doctors said it was difficult to recover in such a short time.'
Yesterday, Anya was very happy when Aiden told her that he was going to see a doctor. But there was no news from the man today so she guessed that the result was not good.
She didn't know how to comfort Aiden. Her own heart also ached at this unpleasant news. Aiden went for treatment with hope in his heart, but the results made that hope again dashed for the umpteenth time.
Anya immediately sent another voice message, 'Don't think about it too much. Get some rest! Tomorrow everything will get better.'
No reply came from Aiden. Maybe the man was sleeping…
Anya was enjoying her lunch while reading the news on the internet. Who knew that she was the one who filled all the news on the internet.

She thought that after Raisa apologized and admitted that she had slandered Anya, everything would be fine. She would finally calm down again.
But people were looking for her family background and love life instead.
To make matters worse, someone posted a photo of her mother with comments saying that her mother was like a devil only because of her ugly face.
Anya was not angry with all the hatred directed at her. But she got angry when someone insulted her mother. She was very angry!
Her mother had long been divorced from her father. And so far, no one had ever paid attention to them…
However, as soon as she got into trouble with the Mahendra family, suddenly her mother's photos were spread on the internet.
Who did all this?
Who would dare do this to her mother?
Anya was feeling very angry, very very angry! But she didn't know how to solve this. She couldn't do anything.
What could she do to find the person who spread the word? She had no clue who did it.
When she was deep in thought, Aiden called her.
"Don't worry. I've told my people to delete the news from the internet. I'm also finding out who passed it on." Aiden's deep, soothing voice came over the other end of the line.
Anya thought Aiden was sleeping, but it turned out that the man was taking care of a problem involving Anya so he couldn't reply to her message.
Anya's heart was warm as tears welled up in her eyes, "Am I giving you a hard time?" She asked carefully.
"You and your mother have been neglected for years, but now they are all suddenly paying attention to you and digging into your background just because you are my lover. None of this is your fault." Said Aiden.
At Aiden's current place, it was already dawn and the man should have slept soundly on his comfortable bed. But when he saw everyone insulting Anya, he couldn't stay still.
Anya's eyes turn red, "Will things like this keep happening?"
"Anya, no matter what happens, don't panic. The two of us will work it out together." Aiden tried to comfort her.
His voice sounded very calm and firm, which made Anya sure that she could rely on him.
"Okay. If there's anything I can help you with, just say it." Anya regained her composure after hearing Aiden's voice.
Aiden's lips turned into a faint smile, "You've done everything you can. Now I will take care of the rest."
"Aiden..." Anya said his name softly. Tears had started flowing from her eyelids.
Aiden's heart pounded when he heard Anya calling his name. He really liked it when he heard his name come out of Anya's mouth.
"I'll be back the day after tomorrow." Aiden's tone grew gentler.
"I miss you." Anya's voice choked when she said this. She missed Aiden. The man was just like a shield that protected her from anything. But now, she had to fight alone without anyone helping her.
Aiden's heart melted when he heard that. This was the first time Anya said she missed him, "I will immediately change my plane ticket. Go back to work. I'm going to sleep." Said Aiden.
"Good evening." Anya said in a low voice.
"Hmm…" Aiden hung up the call and looked at the still dark sky. He looked out over the ocean and his eyes were deep.
Anya immediately returned from her resting place and immediately focused on working. Many people came to the Rose Scent that day, not to buy perfume, but to see the woman who was on the news.
Ben took the opportunity to offer these people Rose products. Anya maintained her professionalism and smiled at everyone all the time.
She knew everyone was insulting her behind her back. And there were even some people who insult her openly.
Anya could only keep smiling while swallowing the bitterness she felt in her heart ...

A (Not So) Simple Fetch Quest
Oh great hero! The evil Demon Lord has once again arisen to terrorise our lands, and we have summoned you to save our people! No, we don't want you to fight the demon lord! Of course not; we're the good guys! What sort of good guys kidnap people from other worlds and force them to take part in wars that have nothing to do with them? That would just be plain evil! We'd be no better than the demons! Katie, after her summoning by an excessively loud mage suddenly takes an unexpected twist, is sent off on a simple fetch quest, with a promise that she'll be back home in five minutes at most. She doesn't even need to leave the building. Alas, when a goddess' blessing causes her wish for an actual adventure to be taken rather more literally than she expected, she finds herself lost in a dark cave, far away from the sword she was supposed to acquire and far too close to a population of giant bugs. Still, at least she wished her life wasn't in any danger. Among other things. Be careful what you wish for. You might just get it. This is a dark litRPG adventure, both in terms of Katie accidentally wishing all the lights out, and also in that she loses as often as she wins, often with horrific and disturbing consequences. Luckily, Katie isn’t the sort of person to let a mere grizzly death or two get her down, and is prepared to try, try and try again to get her hands on the holy sword and finally complete her ‘simple’ fetch quest. Or perhaps—with a few resistance skills under her nightie—she might even come to enjoy losing. Not that she’d ever consider forgoing revenge, even if she did. I’ve ticked all the content warning checkboxes for this one. There’s no explicit sexual content, but there are enough references to justify the warning. Profanity happens rarely, but Katie isn’t averse to swearing when she gets particularly angry. As for gore/trauma, it doesn’t get much worse than the first few chapters, but there will be occasional chapters that have extra content warnings.

MANTIS: On Hiatus
Two young adults who were childhood friends are killed amidst a pandemic worse than our own. After many years apart, Rihelah was on her way to see Michael, hoping to rekindle their friendship on the day they would both lose their lives. The pair are unwittingly selected to represent Earth in a test set forth by godlike beings who are intrigued that our world gave rise to complex life without having been intentionally seeded by their kind. Michael and Rihelah are reincarnated as predatory insects upon a distant planet called Edon. Elves, Dwarves, Dragons and their kin, Goblins, Ogres, Humans, Lizardfolk, Orcs, and sapient arthropods known as Enkelyn all inhabit this beautiful world touched by magic. The tiny mantids must survive terrified and very much alone upon arrival, while neither is aware that the other has also been reincarnated upon the same island. Naked in their new chitinous exoskeletons, they must now brave the terrors of an alien world's food chain. Each will benefit from their years of experience on Earth, but they must somehow find a balance between old lives and new. Moderate mindsets and peaceful values from a mostly safe and privileged life on Earth must now contend and somehow coexist with the strange physiology of a new and unfamiliar body as well as the violent aggressiveness of a predator's mind. To top things off, the pair are about to find themselves struggling with their inner turmoil while swept up by terrible conflicts they know nothing about. Both endure the hardships of their new lives while attempting to understand and make proper use of a mysterious and terse video-game-like System that pops status notifications into their vision from time to time, but initially has no useful interface. Some of the options they are presented with sound enticing, but as with everything else in life, each choice has benefits and drawbacks... Author's Note: This story makes many changes to the original version, and readers of Mantid will find that many things in Mantis are new and different; especially after the first few chapters. I've learned a ton from writing like a madman, and also from the RR community. I appreciate you guys! :)
