Immortal Path To Heaven Chapter 823

A flying carpet flew past the sky as Ou Yangming and Yuqi the Venerable One quietly returned to the Beast King Sect.
Somewhere behind them, the 10,000 Beasts Venerable One even hid itself while escorting them.
Ever since Li Xin's previous sudden attack, the 10,000 Beasts Venerable One began to protect Ou Yangming to an extremity. Not only was Yuqi the Venerable One escorting him openly, but the top-grade Venerable One was also following them in secret.
Apart from Ou Yangming, it would be extremely difficult to find another person that could receive such treatment.
On the flying carpet, Ou Yangming asked, "Yuqi the Venerable One, is Elder Macaque really fine now?"
Yuqi the Venerable One laughed out loud. "Don't worry, Elder Macaque sent me a message saying that it has returned to the Beast King Sect and has recovered."
Ou Yangming nodded as he did not find it strange.
Elder Macaque was severely injured when it tried to stop Li Xin, but it was from the Beast King Sect, after all, and the sect's foundation was unimaginably profound. As long as the old macaque could return safely, it would definitely have countless spiritual pills and medicines to be consumed. Given its identity and base, even if it could not fully recover, it could at least survive and retain its cultivation base.
Yuqi the Venerable One looked around then chuckled all of a sudden. "Master Ou, I'll give you a surprise once we're back."
"A surprise?" Ou Yangming was taken aback and puzzled.
Nonetheless, Yuqi the Venerable One seemed to have decided to only smile without saying a word no matter how Ou Yangming tried to find out anything about the surprise. As such, the young fellow was helpless.
At last, the flying carpet entered the Beast King Sect and landed on the peak that Ou Yangming was most familiar with.
As soon as the flying carpet landed, Ou Yangming heard a hearty and strong laugh.
The old macaque straightened its body and strode toward them. "Master Ou, I received the great news that you emerged victorious as Danzhou's representative. Congratulations!"
When Ou Yangming looked at the smiling old macaque, he suddenly recalled the scene where it protected him by entangling itself with Li Xin.
Although Li Xin did not really harm Ou Yangming, if the old macaque had not blocked him regardless of its safety, even the young fellow dared not guarantee what would happen in the end.
With that, Ou Yangming took a deep breath and kowtowed to the old macaque. He expressed his gratitude sincerely, "Elder Macaque, you were seriously injured because you tried to buy time for me to escape. I'll never forget your grace."
The old macaque was stunned, then it flushed and waved its hand. "Ah, Master Ou, can you not bring this up?" It paused for a while and continued in an upset tone, "I've encountered countless enemies in my life, but that was the first time something as embarrassing as that happened. I'm accountable for not having protected you well instead."

In actuality, given the old macaque's capability, it would not have lacked so much when it went against Li Xin, who was a top-grade Venerable One.
Nevertheless, the problem was that the old macaque was indeed too old. Since it was old and weak, even though it consumed an Eternal Pill, the pill's effect differed from one to another.
The old macaque, which was not qualified to find its path, was not Master Kurong, who cultivated the path of life and easily recovered its strength as a top-grade Venerable One after he was born again through the fire.
Previously, the old macaque's true power was not even half of the top-grade level, hence Li Xin managed to take advantage of it and defeated it without any effort.
The old macaque was too ashamed to tell the truth.
Yuqi the Venerable One laughed and said, "Elder Macaque, you did your best, so you can't be blamed." He sighed and added, "Who would've thought that someone in the Spiritual Realm would actually have the guts to sneak an attack against the Phoenixes' messenger. What more, the attacker was a top-grade Venerable One."
Indeed, unless one could perceive nature's mystery, one could not have thought of this possibility.
The old macaque shook its head. It looked like it had let go of the matter but a resentful look could still be seen deep inside its eyes.
'I'll surely take my revenge in the future!'
"Lil' Ming, you're back." A rather old voice was heard in the courtyard.
Ou Yangming's eyes lit up. He nodded at the Venerable Ones to excuse himself, then he turned around and ran away.
Only one person in the world could make him act recklessly.
Even after seeing this, Yuqi the Venerable One and the old macaque did not blame the young fellow at all. Instead, they exchanged glances and looked pleased.
Everyone had a weakness. As long as one's weakness was caught, one could be controlled on a certain level.
Yuqi the Venerable One and the old macaque would not expect to control Ou Yangming completely, but they hoped that a part of his abilities would be shared by the Beast King Sect. It would be enough for the sect to benefit significantly.
The more Ou Yangming valued Old Craftsman, the more meaningful the capital that the sect had put in.
At this moment, the Venerable Ones felt incredibly glad.
Mount Wuzhi was the first force that brought Old Craftsman here, but they clearly underestimated Ou Yangming's potential or the old man's position in his heart.
If not, they would not have easily let Old Craftsman come to the Beast King Sect.
Ou Yangming flashed into the courtyard at the speed of light.
In actual fact, Old Craftsman could call out to him casually in the lower realm.
Terms of address such as "young fella", "b*stard", "little brat", and so on—he could call out to Ou Yangming however he wanted. However, as the young fellow's cultivation base and status increased, the old man seemed to also feel like it would not be ideal for him to use those terms anymore. In particular, if he were to address Ou Yangming like that in front of the powerhouses, the b*stard would probably be embarrassed.

Therefore, Old Craftsman decided to follow Ni Yinghong by addressing Ou Yangming as Lil' Ming.
Despite that, regardless of Ou Yangming's achievements, he was still that b*stard that was attached to Old Craftsman.
Ou Yangming ran toward the old man and said shyly, "Old Man, you know I'm back."
Old Craftsman responded snappily, "I saw you showing off your flying carpet in the sky. Even if I were blind, I would've known that you're back."
The young fellow was dumbfounded. 'Showing off…
'Alright, Old Man's a stubborn person, so I better not argue with me over such a trivial matter.'
"Hehe, Old Man, if you like it, once you advance to the Extreme Grade, I'll gift you a flying… Hey!" Ou Yangming's face suddenly changed. He looked at Old Craftsman in astonishment.
Ou Yangming did not notice anything when they first met, but he sensed a martial artist's aura from the old man after he paid a little attention to him.
If he was not mistaken, the aura belonged to a Yin Grade powerhouse.
The Yin Grade boundary was a joke to Ou Yangming at the moment. Without needing to make a move at all, his look and pressure could easily crush and kill Yin Grade cultivators.
Having said that, Old Craftsman was not a real martial artist. Before he entered the Beast King Sect, he was only an ordinary person.
Would it be good for his future if he entered the Yin Grade in such a short period?
At this point, Ou Yangming finally understood what Yuqi the Venerable One's surprise was.
Even so, seeing how Old Craftsman was advancing so quickly, instead of feeling surprised, Ou Yangming was shocked.
Old Craftsman laughed out loud. "How is it? You noticed, didn't you? Hehe, turns out that I'm really a martial arts genius; I've already cultivated to the Yin Grade."
Ou Yangming forced a smile. It was great that Old Craftsman had improved in martial arts, but it might not be good if he advanced too quickly without building a solid foundation.
Struck with a thought, Ou Yangming turned to look and saw Yuqi the Venerable One and the old macaque walking over side by side.
The Venerable Ones were so sharp that they instantly understood Ou Yangming's concern.
Yuqi the Venerable One noted, "Master Ou, don't forget that we're in the Spiritual Realm. Given my techniques and the Beast King Sect's foundation, it won't be difficult to bring up a Spiritual if we disregard the costs." He paused for a while before he continued, "Don't worry, I'll slowly train his willpower during this process, so there won't be accidents at all."
Ou Yangming finally sighed a breath of relief. He was not as experienced as Yuqi the Venerable One in this aspect indeed.
That said, the Spiritual Realm and the lower realm were entirely different worlds.
In the lower realm, one had to pay an exceptionally huge price to advance to the Spirit Great. In fact, one had to experience the Thunderbolts Disaster, where one could likely be killed.
On the other hand, this seemed like the most normal thing in enormous sects in the Spiritual Realm.
Sure enough, the 2 realms could not be mentioned on equal terms.
Just as Ou Yangming was lamenting, a figure appeared without a sound.
Ou Yangming curbed his thought and bowed at the 10,000 Beasts Venerable One. "Venerable One, thanks for escorting us back here."
They never met throughout their journey back, but Ou Yangming knew the 10,000 Beasts Venerable One was secretly protecting them from behind.
The 10,000 Beasts Venerable One waved its hand and replied to him with a smile, "Master Ou, you're being too polite. Hehe, I've only returned in advance because of King Kong, so how could I not have shown a small token of my appreciation?"
Old Craftsman's eyes lit up. "King Kong's going to advance into a Venerable One?"
Ou Yangming nodded seriously. "It's almost time. Old Man, would you like to watch it?"
One's advancement into a Venerable One was a grand event, but not everyone was qualified to watch it.
Old Craftsman responded after some thought, "I've just started to practice martial arts, so forget it. Instead, you should bring those 3 little girls along to widen their visions."
Ou Yangming was struck dumb. He would have put on a fierce look if someone else suggested this, but since Old Craftsman was the one that proposed the idea, what else could he do other than obey him?
With that, he nodded and said, "10,000 Beasts Venerable One, the Earthly Formation Boards that I refined were destroyed, but I'll start refining them again now." He added with a grave look on his face, "Once I've successfully refined them, let's set out to find a suitable spot."
The 10,000 Beasts Venerable One looked eager, and it rejoined without any hesitation, "I'll follow your arrangement."
Ou Yangming did not face the Heavenly Thunderbolts in the Spiritual Realm, but he had smithed pieces of Thunderbolt-resistant Equipment and Earthly Formation Boards, thus nobody dared to disobey him.
Ou Yangming grinned and looked into the distance where Multi-armed King Kong was cultivating in isolation.
'That fella has waited long enough!'
