The Greatest Beast Trainer: Building A Nation On The Back Of A Dragon Chapter 4

At night.
Nicole could not fall asleep. She was still thinking about what Solomon had said to her.
Should she go with Solomon or wait for her sister to come back?
After an unknown amount of time, Nicole gradually fell asleep.
As if she had dreamed of something delicious, Nicole's mouth kept chewing.
...
The next day.
Nicole rubbed her hazy eyes, stretched her body, and stood up from her bed.
"Why are you up so early today?"
Nicole asked Solomon.
The morning fog outside the door had not completely dispersed, which indicated that it was still dawn.
"Well, I've been up for a while, come and eat. It will be cold soon."
Solomon urged.
He held a spoon in his right hand and stirred it gently in an old iron pot.
A series of sounds came from the iron pot.
Nicole took out two ceramic bowls from the cupboard and handed them over.
These two ceramic bowls were dug out from the ground when she was hunting small animals outside.
After a simple cleaning, they could be used.
Solomon took the ceramic bowls, scooped two spoonfuls into each bowl, and handed them to Nicole.
"Are you feeling better?"
Nicole blew on the food to cool it down and asked Solomon.
In the past, she used to wake up early to make breakfast for Solomon. After all, Solomon was sick at that time. But, now that Solomon woke up early to make breakfast, Nicole was feeling uneasy.
"It would be great if I could eat your breakfast every day."
Nicole thought to herself.
"Yes, it's already done."
Solomon replied.
Their food was simple. It consisted of the small animals they killed outside, along with a little wild grass they picked outside.
In such an environment, this was already considered a grand meal.
How many people would fight because of the food problem and risk their lives in such an environment?

The two of them were not picky.
To be able to eat every meal was already pretty good.
If they continued to be picky, they would have starved to death long ago.
"Solomon, what about this Little Fire Dragon?"
Nicole noticed the Little Fire Dragon at the side.
The Little Fire Dragon widened its eyes and looked at the steaming iron pot.
If Solomon were not there, the Little Fire Dragon would have rushed up and taken the food in the iron pot for itself.
"Mm, since you're full, I'll bring you to hunt for more food."
Solomon patted the Little Fire Dragon's back.
The Little Fire Dragon seemed to understand Solomon's words and nodded in a very human manner.
"Can... can I go with you?"
Nicole asked weakly.
When she woke up in the morning, she felt very conflicted, especially when she saw Solomon. Her mind was still spinning with those two choices.
Should she choose to go with Solomon or wait for her sister to come back alone?
"I definitely have to bring you along. I'm not familiar with this place either. It's getting late. Let's go."
Hearing Solomon's reply, a sweet smile appeared on Nicole's face.
After a while, Nicole had finished packing, the two of them and the dragon left the residence and headed south.
"I come here almost every day.
"Because there aren't as many small animals in the north as in the south, I often come here.
"Also, because the weather in the north is much colder than in the south, the animals there are also much more difficult to deal with than in the south."
Nicole was tirelessly explaining to Solomon.
After Solomon heard all of this, he nodded.
An unknown amount of time had passed, suddenly Nicole, who was walking in front, stopped.
"We're here."
Nicole pointed at the high mountain in the distance and said to Solomon.

This high mountain pierced through the clouds.
"Oh right, it's best if we don't go too deep. We can catch some small animals outside.
"If we encounter any danger, we can also escape immediately."
As they neared the high mountain, Nicole reminded them again.
Solomon nodded helplessly.
This was already the third time Nicole had reminded him today.
Even the Little Fire Dragon at the side showed an impatient expression.
"Dragon, go and find your own food. If you encounter any danger, don't try to be brave. Your survival is more important."
Solomon patted the Little Fire Dragon's back.
The Little Fire Dragon nodded and dashed in.
It seemed that it had been starving to death.
"Will the Little Fire Dragon be alright?"
Nicole asked worriedly.
"Don't worry, the Little Fire Dragon's intuition is much stronger than ours. Moreover, he is an animal that I have tamed. He has a telepathic connection with me. Don't worry."
Solomon comforted Nicole.
As long as the Little Fire Dragon encountered danger, Solomon would be able to sense it immediately. This was also a small function that the system automatically activated for animals that the host had successfully tamed. Thus, it could be said that it was very advanced.
Of course, as long as Solomon was willing, he could know the location of the Little Fire Dragon with just a thought.
"Alright, go look for your trap and see if any prey has fallen for it. Then, I'll take a look around the area."
Solomon said to Nicole.
"Alright, you can't go too far. Otherwise, I won't be able to find you later."
Nicole replied.
After saying that, Nicole walked toward the location where Solomon was thinking about, to find the trap that she had set up earlier.
"Young girls are really sentimental."
Solomon sighed.
After the system's all-around transformation, he could naturally clearly feel Nicole's emotions fluctuating. She was obviously much more depressed than before.
Perhaps it was because of the news that he was leaving, or perhaps it was because of other things.
He would not comfort Nicole. In such a world, if he gave her too much gentleness, it would only harm her.
Hiss!
At this moment, Solomon suddenly heard a snake's cry.
Looking over, a small jade-green snake was shuttling between the small rocks.
The small jade-green snake sensed Solomon's aura and climbed onto a rock. It raised its head and spat its red tongue at Solomon, filled with provocation.
It had already treated Solomon as its prey.
It seemed like it wanted to eat Solomon to its heart's content.
In such a world, not only humans, but even animals would begin to mutate.
The genes of animals had always been very powerful, so they could survive in such an environment.
If they completed a high-intensity transformation, it was not impossible for them to become ferocious beasts.
Little did he know that Solomon had also treated this small snake as his prey.
Hiss!
The small jade-green snake opened its mouth and pounced towards Solomon.
Swoosh!
Just as the small snake was about to approach Solomon, Solomon pulled out the small dagger at his waist and directly pierced through the small snake's entire head, pinning it firmly onto the stone.
Just as he pulled out the dagger, another small snake shot out from the stone.
This small snake was different from the previous one. This snake's entire body was like a gemstone. As long as there was light shining on it, it would emit colorful light.
"A rare animal?"
Solomon let out a soft exclamation.
His hands and eyes were quick. He directly pressed the small snake onto the ground, preventing it from escaping.
"Ding! Detected that there are domesticated animals nearby. Do you want to domesticate them?"

Thomas the Brawler
Thomas doesn't remember what his last name was, before it became Bluebrim, a name belonging to another universe. He's also pretty sure he wasn't this stupid before he arrived, but what can you do, when a day that was supposed to begin with an interview to set your life back on track instead begins in a universe that makes no sense, with rules you can't begin to understand? Maybe he should have paid more attention to the avatar creation screen ... Content warnings: All of them. Seriously. Expect lots of blue screens to begin with. Don't expect a power-leveling fantasy, in which the lone hero beats up all the bad guys, and gets a harem of women. There's just a guy who treats character creation like an annoying series of pop-up advertisements, and the story is basically the ramifications of that. The main character has to learn to take the world he's found himself in seriously, and he'll learn the way most of us do, by doing it wrong first. This is, insofar as it is successful, a dark comedy fantasy. Also a bit of horror, particularly but not exclusively body horror. I'm pretty sure I've earned those Content Warning tags, so, uh, yeah. This is practice. Hopefully things improve as I go, and figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I make no guarantees things will ever get better. I've already made mistakes, I'll make more, and I'm happy to notice them each time I make them. You don't improve unless you fail. (On the plus side, it probably won't get much worse.) Feel free to point out anything you think I'm doing wrong; I don't promise to change anything, particularly if it's a matter of taste, but I am looking to improve, and figuring out what I need to improve goes faster if I don't have to try to figure it out myself. I've updated the earlier chapters for formatting, in the hope that it would make everything easier to read on mobile devices. Hopefully things work slightly better now, but please let me know if there are any issues anywhere.
