Liu Ye's eyes blurred at the wrong moment as new information appeared in his mind. He didn't hesitate and used his new ability, creating a roof between the ground and the boulder.

A spike-like ice leg pierced right through his ice wall, stopping inches away from Liu Ye's face. It was at that moment Liu Ye realized he was probably eating more than he can chew.

"Damn! I knew it!" Vice-leader Marco cursed as he swiftly rolled out and swung with his arm, shooting a nearby boulder straight at the Ice Queen's body.

A large red number appeared above the spider as it got pushed away, making Ice Queen drop the cocoon from her mouth. Liu Ye's eyes couldn't help but shine. Maybe it would be impossible to face that boss if he was alone, but he had a skilled NPC to assist him. How could he run away from the fight?

Liu Ye rolled to the other side just before the ice wall collapsed and threw the unlucky player to safety with his Water Whip.

Ahh!!

She whined as she rolled on the ground and a part of the cocoon ripped, causing Liu Ye to finally see the player's name.

To his surprise, it was no other than Black Rose but what confused him the most was how did she overcome their level difference so fast? His leveling method turned out to be not as efficient as he thought.

"We need to get out of here!" Vice-leader Marco shouted urgently while hiding behind his own earth wall. "She is too strong for us to handle her!"

His attack from before already shifted the Ice Queen's aggression onto him and she shot multiple spiderwebs his way. Thankfully, there was some logic in this game and each attack had a different interaction. The spider webs were too soft to damage the wall.

"We can't leave! You said it yourself, she is too fast! We have to defeat her to save our lives!" Liu Ye called out as he gulped a small Mana Potion. "Hold on for a moment!"

As long as Liu Ye had mana, he could withdraw water from his waterskin, making it quite broken. He didn't hesitate and began setting up Ice Walls all over the place. They stayed up until they were broken or melted but the battle wouldn't last this long.

"Let me out!" Black Rose cried out from inside as she struggled to break free but Liu Ye ignored her as he set up another wall. She was too dangerous to let free or else she would try to steal their kill.

"Arrgh! Help me!" Vice-leader Marco cried out in desperation after getting hit by the sharp swipe of the Ice Queen's leg. "I can't hold on much longer!"

He tried to block the attacks with his earth walls but the Ice Queen was too quick, swiftly changing positions to strike him from a different angle. It felt like she was playing whack a mole with him.

"I'm coming!" Liu Ye called out reassuringly, finally finishing his setup. He created more than twenty Ice Walls scattered in a tight maze, hoping to disturb the Ice Queen's movements while also providing cover for him.

Liu Ye drank another Mana potion and switched to offense, launching several Ice Projectiles from the cover of his base. She dodged while continuing to chase after Vice-leader Marco but she couldn't run forever.

Her white body got smacked multiple times but she didn't pay him attention until he matched Vice-leader Marco's damage. Liu Ye's eyes brightened at that fact, confirming his thoughts.

"Yes, come at me! I'm here!" Liu Ye taunted from afar before instructing, "She will attack whoever does the most damage! Let's bounce her aggro around!"

Vice-leader Marco has never looked more confused, but Liu Ye had no time to explain. The Ice Queen already launched her offense.

He slid in between the Ice Walls and stared her down while slapping the spider with his Water Whips. Too bad, he underestimated her intelligence.

Swoosh!

With one swing of her front legs, she swept his whips aside and climbed on his ice walls, trying to stab him through the gaps.

"Attack it!" Liu Ye cried out as ice shards from the roof he just made splashed on his head. Ice Queen was just too quick, already stabbing him again before he could even change her position.

Ugh!

Liu Ye could barely breathe after the hit, his chest feeling as if it caved in. The pain was so excruciating he immediately fell on his knees, luckily avoiding another attack aimed at his head. Liu Ye didn't even know about it as his eyesight blurred, darkening from the shock.

It wasn't the first time it happened, a painful memory suddenly resurfacing in his mind.

He was driving back to the villa with Xu Yue when an explosion blasted their limousine in the air. His ears were deafened and eyes blurred but he could see black silhouettes dragging the unconscious Xu Yue out of the flipped car.

His body was in pain and he couldn't move when an angelic voice called out in his mind. 'Big Bro! Wake up!'

The adrenaline instantly kicked in and his mind cleared, allowing him to pull out a gun from the hidden compartment. He chased after the men and killed them all without hesitation.

Zhenzhen was his guardian angel, always reminding him who he was fighting for. This time wasn't much different. Liu Ye kneeled between the Ice Walls when his little sister's face appeared in his mind.

'Big Bro!' Zhenzhen cried out with her face full of tears, causing his body to shake.

Liu Ye's eyes instantly snapped open and he swiftly dodged to the side while shooting Ice Projectiles out of his palms. Two shards stabbed into Ice Queen's body while her own Piercing Leg missed.

The Ice Queen ignored the damage as she chased after him but Liu Ye was a completely different person from before. He stopped thinking about anything while his body moved on its own, dodging and shooting rapidly.

Vice-leader Marco was ready to help with a boulder in his hands but he suddenly froze, ending up watching Liu Ye fight.

Ice Queen's HP kept falling rapidly till she suddenly jumped back, escaping from him while letting out squeaking noises. She gave him one last glance before running away.

[Ding! Ice Queen fled from the fight.]

"Whoa! That was amazing!" Vice-leader Marco praised happily as he patted him on the shoulder. "Let's return back to our mission. With such skills, the Bandit Leader doesn't stand a chance against us."

Unfortunately, Liu Ye didn't look satisfied at all. He was too careless before but it will not happen again.

"Follow me."
