Chapter 310: As You Wish
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
Hearing Jing Jiya’s words, Han Sen smiled and patted him on the shoulder. “Jing Jiya, if you want to threaten someone, you’ll have to be smart. When you speak, try to act like a tough guy so that I might be scared.”
Jing Jiya’s face became grim. He said, “Brother, I am not joking.”
Leaning against the back of his chair, Han Sen stretched and said slowly, “Since you have investigated my family, you should know who I am. Do you dare to touch them? Now tell me again you’re not joking.”
Jing Jiya smiled and said, “Brother, you’re right. I do not dare to touch your family, but your friends might not be as lucky. I don’t dare to do anything to Wang Mengmeng or Lu Meng either, but Shi Zhikang and Zhang Yang were under no one’s protection.”
“I would be interested to know how you plan to hurt them in Blackhawk,” said Han Sen.
Jing Jiya was still smiling. “It will not be easy for me to injure them on campus, and it’s gonna be a waste of time to hurt their family. But do you think I could seduce their girlfriends? You think I’m going to succeed?”
“Jing Jiya, there are things that you should never do,” replied Han Sen solemnly. Whether Jing Jiya could succeed or not, he will not let it happen.
“If you’re angry, you can take it out on me during our duel anytime,” said Jing Jiya with politely.
“As you wish then.” Although Han Sen did not want to waste his time, he no longer wanted to tolerate the kid’s provocation. He would take care of what should be taken care of.

Jing Jiya appeared to be exhilarated. “I will be waiting for you. Please keep your words, otherwise…”
Jing Jiya did not finish his sentence, but even an idiot could understand him. Han Sen smiled and said, “Jing Jiwu did not teach his brother well, so I will be a good friend and do that for him.”
Jing Jiya was a bit upset hearing that, but he did not talk back. Since Han Sen had agreed to his challenge, all he needed to do was beating Han Sen. It was pointless to win an argument.
Jing Jiya had always thought that only by defeating Han Sen could he avenge his brother.
Seeing Jing Jiya left, Han Sen immediately moved on to consider his trip to Glory Shelter. Although he might still be a bit weak, maybe he could give it a shot.
Flame lieutenant, devil sword and the second phase of Heresy Mantra, those might be all that it took for him to kill a super creature. Most importantly, the black turtle was not very fast, so he could always run away.
“It seems I should make the trip. Tomorrow after I kick the kid’s ass, I’ll leave for Glory Shelter.” Han Sen did not want to miss the opportunity. After all, super creatures were so rare that he did not know when he would see the next one if he missed this turtle.
After Jing Jiya left, he spread the news that he was about to challenge Han Sen the next day on the archery range. In order to clear his brother’s name, he would like for everyone to know how he beat Han Sen.
Jing Jiya had even thought of his line after beating Han Sen, “Although you are quite good, you’re still nothing compared to me, and even less than nothing compared to my older brother. Your one win was just based on pure luck.”

Soon the entire Blackhawk knew about the duel. Almost everyone hearing the news became excited.
Han Sen was the legend of Blackhawk, and Jing Jiya was another monster after his older brother, so their duel attracted a lot of attention.
Even many professors decided to have a look after hearing about it.
The next morning, before Han Sen and Jing Jiya got there, the stands around the archery range was packed with audience.
“Who do you think will win?”
“The genius of course. Even Jing Jiwu was not his match, let alone Jing Jiya.” The senior students who had witnessed how strong Han Sen was mostly supported him.
“I don’t think so. You have all seen Jing Jiya’s record, which is probably even better than Jing Jiwu when he was at school. Han Sen only beat Jing Jiwu because of good luck and he had not done much in recent two years. I’m afraid he will lose to Jing Jiya…”
Among freshmen, more people supported Jing Jiya, especially the girls. Jing Jiya’s good looks won him a lot of popularity.
“Ms. Chen, you’re also here to see the duel?” Situ Xiang looked at Chen Ling in surprise.
“Yes, Han Sen once represented the Martial Arts Society and I have come to support him,” said Chen Ling with a smile.
“Come and join me. The view is better here.” Situ Xiang brought Chen Ling to the coach’s bench.
“Coach, who do you think he has a better chance, Han Sen or Jing Jiya?” Chen Ling asked.
“It is very hard to say. So many things had happened to Han Sen in the recent two years, and I can say that Jing Jiya has even surpassed his brother,” replied Situ Xiang with a bitter smile.
Chen Ling knew what the coach was saying, so she nodded and did not speak again.
Han Sen’s roommates also came to cheer him up, and Wang Mengmeng came with them as well. However, the stands were so full they had to watch on their feet.
“Can Han Sen win? That Jing Jiya kid is quite something,” said Shi Zhikang with his brows knitted. He had seen Jing Jiya’s match and the kid was indeed quite talented.
Jing Jiya was also in the Archery Department, so Shi Zhikang had competed with him a few times. Shi Zhikang sensed even more stress facing Jing Jiya than when he met Jing Jiwu.
Zhang Yang and Lu Meng did not speak. In fact, they both had fought Jing Jiya and suffered terrible losses. They felt the same as Shi Zhikang did: Jing Jiya was even more formidable than Jing Jiwu.
“Brother Han will definitely win.” Wang Mengmeng was Han Sen’s diehard fan and believed in him as always.

Shift (Ben 10+DCU Fanfiction)
Omnitrix+ DCU, what's not to like? The main character will not be Ben Tennyson, rather someone from our world who gains the Omnitrix Hello! This fanfiction Shift is what I wanted to do for an homage to what I thought were underrated pieces of media, Ben 10 and some DCU characters. However, I would be remiss if I didn’t add context to two of the major works that inspired Shift, Dial, and A Practical Guide to Evil. Dial is another ben 10 fanfiction, however that story takes place in the MCU, and with an adult that is already a grown-up at the beginning of the story. Dial, by my own accounts, is more superficially Like shift, even though the Omnitrix is a central device in both. My protagonist starts out around 18 years old, so is less serious and can build relationships with some of the junior justice league members, and then later on in the story meet the Justice League officially. The tone will be more light-hearted at the beginning of the story as teenagers are known to use sarcasm and jokes at each other’s expense. Furthermore, in Dial, the protagonist has a well-developed knowledge of the MCU which he uses to have knowledge on events and characters, that the character in Shift will not have. While the MC will have some knowledge of people's abilities, lesser-known characters and people's real identities will be not included as much, but the MC of Shift will have some knowledge. APGTE's influence is deeper than Dials'. The epigraphs at the beginning of every chapter are an example of that, a place for light-hearted jokes and worldbuilding that's not pure exposition, but I also want to incorporate narrative stories to Shift (heroes win more than lose, providence, etc) on a lighthearted scale. While the heroes of Shift will have to work to win against villains, the MC of Shift will be allowed limited precognition, through narratives tropes and archetypes as a trade-off of less knowledge of the DCU. For example, a villain a hero faces might monologue, but the MC will not instinctively know how to counter every villain they encounter. I also wanted to bring in more realism than usual superhero stories, ie: the MC cannot just walk and have a meeting with Batman or Superman, he would have to “work his way up” in terms of credibility and whatnot. The Aliens that show up in Shift I tried to make different than the ones in Dial, just to share the love for lesser-known characters. And to make it fairer for the villains of the DCU, the main character will not wantonly use if gain at all an Alien X or a ben 10 form of Kryptonians, just so the characters have to work a little bit for victory. I urge anyone reading to consider checking out both APGTE and Dial as they are both amazing works, and I hope you enjoy them. The beginning of how the MC enters the DCU will not be as important as him actually existing in that universe, so that is why a ton of time is not spent on that part of the story. Chapters will be around 2.5 thousand words and come out around every weekday.

I Was Reincarnated as Someone's Mana??
My name is Magnus Karlsson, and by a series of rather unfortunate events that I had absolutely no say in, I was killed and reincarnated. In this story, you will follow Magnus as he tries his very best to survive in a world that's been thrown into chaos, together with the man whose mana he is, Allan Woodsworth. Well, not a man per se, more of a little boy who has no idea what the fuck is going on, but, you know... I'm sure it'll be fine. Nothing bad will happen to the pair. Nope. No abandoned kids here. Anyhow. The world that Magnus has been thrown into is one perversed by the will of a great mage who, three thousand years ago, decided that it would be a great idea to infuse all the people of the earth with so-called "orbs". These magical crystals allow their handler to control and generate mana, which they can then use to become mages. Most barely use them, since the mana cost of doing such a little thing as a fireball spell is absolutely ridiculous. Said mage, Theodore Cromwell, Magnus used his resources to infuse not only humans with orbs, but animals as well, giving rise to what the mage community calls "horrid perversions of nature", but what the common folk calls "monsters". Orbs can be used for much, and it is through orbs that people keep track on their level of mana and such, and destroying the orb of a monster is A, the only way to kill it and B, a good way to absorb extra mana and raise ones level. It is such an orb that Magnus has been tranformed into. ------ To those that care, I'm very sorry about the title, it's just that, well, it's very good to be blunt about isekais like this since people such as myself search precisely for this, so having super-serious names like "The Magnus of the World of Orbs" would turn people wanting a simple and fun isekai off. I hope you give this story a fair chance! ------ Edit: IWRASM now has a deviantart page!!! https://www.deviantart.com/thefunartcorner

I Don't (August Alsina)
"Just tell me you love me, man." He said. I thought about and after what he said, my love for him died. There was no love. He wasn't the same man I fell in love with. He was different. He changed and I didn't love this new guy in front of me. "I can't." I said. He looked at me, tears in his eyes. "Don't do this, man. You love me, baybeh. I know you do."I bit my lip, trying hard not to cry in front of him. "August," I gulped, cursing myself because the tears I said I wouldn't shed, were shedding. "I don't love you anymore. I don't."
