Xian Enterprise's Conference Room.

Every Monday morning, Xian Guiying would hold a meeting with the upper echelons in Xian Enterprise, while for every Wednesday, there would be the second meeting of the upper echelons but this time, guided by Wei Zhengsheng. These were the two important meetings that were scheduled every week and led by the two of them. Today is Wednesday.

At ten o'clock in the morning, Xian Guiying entered the conference room with her secretary, Dai Meifen. Several senior executives of the company had arrived. Xian Guiying nodded to everyone with a smile and sat down at the head of the table.

At this moment, the screen on the wall lit up. The topic of the meeting had already appeared on the wall. Just as the meeting was about to begin, Wei Zhengsheng walked in.

Xian Guiying glanced at him and Wei Zhengsheng's gaze swept all over her body. His lips were slightly curved and his eyes were filled with boundless warmth.

Xian Guiying pursed her lips, lowered her head, and continued to look at the meeting documents in her hand. During the whole meeting, she sat by the side and listened to every word Wei Zhengsheng said.

Wei Zhengsheng's parents were American-Chinese, and his parents were not well-known wealthy businessmen. Still, his father was a professor in the finance department of Harvard University and his mother was a conservative and unemployed woman. She took good care of her family and raised her children well.

Wei Zhengsheng and Xian Zihao were alumni. However, he was one year older than Xian Zihao and four years older than Xian Guiying. At the time, he was also a scholar in finance and had a good relationship with Xian Zihao.

That year, the first round of funding for the Xian Enterprise was 50/50 for Xian Zihao and Wei Zhengsheng. Wei Zhengsheng was a person who was even more low-key than Xian Zihao and he also admired his mind and methods, so he was willing to fight in the business with him and was willing to be his assistant.

Although Wei Zhengsheng was called an assistant, the relationship between the both of them was similar to Qin Gengxin's relationship, and they both had a very deep sense of brotherhood.

Xian Guying was surprisingly quiet in the meeting. She would look at him occasionally, looked at the screen, then lowered her head and looked at the information in her hand, deep in thought.

When the meeting was over, Secretary Dai went out to get Xian Guiying the meeting materials. Xian Guiying stood up and was about to leave when she suddenly heard Wei Zhengsheng's voice, "President Xian, can you wait for a moment?"

Only when it was just the two of them left in the meeting room did Xian Guiying return to her original position. She looked at Wei Zhengsheng, who was standing less than three meters away from her, and asked, "What's wrong?"

"I wanted to talk about the AmpK case. I figured it out last night. Therefore, I made a decision without consulting you. What do you think about this matter?" He asked.

Xian Guiying chuckled, "I've been expecting this result. I'm also considering doing it, but I'm skeptical of the pros and cons. Now that you've made a decision, that's good."

Wei Zhengsheng couldn't help laughing, "Even though you're a strong and capable woman, I've seen enough of it for years. Whenever there are some unpredictable results, you'll always sway left and right, and it's usually me who chooses for you."

"Too much thinking is a woman's nature. Sometimes, it's a waste of time to think too much about things." Xian Guiying nodded her head in agreement as she said, "How could I be as decisive as you? If my decisions on certain matters were a little more straightforward, perhaps my brother wouldn't be so occasionally worried about Xian Enterprise's development."

Wei Zhengsheng smiled and nodded. No one knew what he was thinking, but he suddenly became silent and looked at Xian Guiying as if he wanted to say something, but he seemed to be considering whether the words he wished to convey would give her trouble. In the end, he just silently looked at her with a gentle and warm gaze.

Instead, the corner of Xian Guiying's mouth raised slightly and she asked directly, "The photos you sent last night, were they all taken by you?"

"How could I have taken all of them? I only took three or four of them when we went out together, and some of them were taken by the photographer a few years ago. They have always been in my possession." Wei Zhengsheng answered honestly.

Xian Guiying nodded her head, "You scared me to death. I still think that you are usually so calm and accumulated but then, you suddenly attack me. Luckily, I just overthink it."

With that, she smiled and put her arm on the conference table. Holding her chin with one hand, she looked at Wei Zhengsheng, "Tell me the truth, did my brother say something to you yesterday? If not, how can you suddenly change your personality?"

"Nope."

"Then what's the reason for this provocation?" She asked jokingly.

They both sat in the spacious and bright conference room. On the other side, the data map was still showing in the slides, as if they were having a serious discussion, but the content of the conversation was very strange.

Wei Zhengsheng seemed to notice the both were discussing this in the conference room and the atmosphere was indeed strange, so he smiled, poked her forehead with his finger, and said after a few seconds, "Because you have some kind of unpredictable factor in your personality, maybe you're also in the same situation with marriage. If Qin Gengxin doesn't love you, I'll love you. If Qin Gengxin can't give you a warm and peaceful home, I'll give it to you."

To Xian Guiying, this was a simple and sincere sentence. There was no exaggeration of romance, no flaunting of gentleness, only a simple declaration that everything that she lacked in her eleven years was something that he could let her have immediately.

If this had happened five years ago, maybe Xian Guiying would still insist on be with Qin Gengxin. But now, she desperately needed a warm and cozy home, a husband who knows how to understand the weather. Of course, the first thing she needed was the acceptance of Qin Wenqian.

Obviously, Wei Zhengsheng was in line with all of this.

Xian Guiying lowered her head and looked at her slightly clasped hand on the conference table. She then stretched out her finger and looked at her fingernails. It was unknown what she was thinking.

Xian Guiying stared at her finger for a long time, then suddenly laughed. "Brother Wei, do you know why I haven't been able to let him go after so many years?"
