Inhuman Warlock Chapter 384

"The truth about my father's death?" Lucifer asked. "The world isn't as nice as it seems."
"What are you trying to say? I don't understand?" Salazar asked, standing up. He felt like something was hidden in the words of Lucifer as if Lucifer knew something that he didn't.
"Tell me what happened."
"Let's go for a walk." Lucifer didn't answer. Instead, he stood up and turned around.
Salazar also got off the bed and followed Lucifer out of the room.
Uprising Warlocks watched Lucifer come out of the room with Salazar.
"I'm taking him out for a little. You guys can take a break too," Lucifer told the Uprising Warlocks before walking away with Salazar.
"Is it something that you couldn't tell me there? Tell me what happened to your parents?!" Salazar asked again.
"This place is so peaceful, isn't it? We can even hear the sound of our own footsteps. I don't understand why you find this place to be chaotic."
"Don't change the topic. Answer me! What is it that I don't know?" Salazar asked, standing behind Lucifer, who had stopped in front of a lift.
The doors of the lift opened, and Lucifer stepped inside. Salazar followed him inside as well.
"Answer me. What is it that I don't know?" Salazar repeated his question.
Lucifer glanced at him, smiling. "The question you ask, it's a very broad question actually. There are simply too many things that you don't know. I mean seriously, did you know that there are cats in this world that are allergic to humans?"
"I meant about your father! Tell me about your father! How did he die?! What is it that I don't know about? You talked as if there was some mystery behind his death? What do you know?" Salazar asked, clarifying his question

Lucifer didn't answer even now. The smooth music in the lift kept playing, making the serious atmosphere a bit odd, especially because the music could be described as some mythical high fantasy music.
The lift stopped on the terrace, and the door opened. Lucifer stepped out of the lift and walked to the edge of the terrace. Salazar followed him closely.
Stopping at the end of the terrace, Lucifer looked at the city. He was standing in the tallest building of the city, which gave him the perfect view.
"We're so high. Look at all those humans and Variants on the roads. Don't they look like ants from here?" Lucifer asked softly.
"They do," Salazar nodded, noticing the people walking on the streets.
"The place where we're standing, my father and my mother could have stood here as well. They could have been in my place, looking at all those ants. They were strong enough to crush everyone that stood in their path. Isn't that right?" Lucifer asked solemnly.
"Yeah. They were pretty powerful," Salazar nodded. "No one could stand in their path.'
"Exactly. These ants should never have been able to harm them if only they were a little more selfish. If only they were thinking for themselves instead of thinking for others. They would have been still alive, if only..."
"Are you saying they shouldn't have gone inside the dungeon to help people?" Salazar asked.
"They shouldn't have. Why did they have to listen to others? Why did they have to trust others so much? Why did they have to trust the people that wanted them dead? Instead of using their powers for others, they should've used it for themselves," Lucifer replied grimly.
"They were just too nice for their own good. Even though they were strong, no one took them seriously because they didn't kill innocents." he continued as he sighed.

"Do you think if they were like me, they could have been fooled like me? If they were frightening, would anyone have dared to scheme against them?" he asked.
"Scheme against them?" Salazar asked. "What scheme?"
Lucifer sat on the edge with his feet hanging off the building.
He didn't even look at Salazar, instead looking straight at the rising Sun in the distance.
" My parents... Didn't die because of Dungeon Dwellers or traps of Dungeons. They died because of the trap from people they trusted," he declared.
"Trap from people they trusted? You mean...?"
Salazar managed to decipher some meaning from the words of Lucifer.
"That's right. There was no emergency. They didn't need to enter that Dungeon. It was all a trap, set by the human government in association with Zeiss, Varant, and Raia," Lucifer declared.
"W-why would they do something like this? Especially Raia and Varant?" Salazar asked, frowning.
Lucifer explained everything that he had managed to find out about his father's death, including the involvement of the Warlock Council and about the sword his parents were looking to find.
"Warlock Council? Such treachery?" Salazar was stunned and even enraged at hearing this, so much so that he wanted to kill Varant, Raia and others himself if they were alive.
"They all planned something like this to keep the world in the dark? And poison? Could they have chosen a more cowardly way?"
"Keeping the world in the dark isn't something new for them. That's what they did when Varant killed me as well. It's how the world works," Lucifer replied.
"I already killed everyone who was involved in my parents' death. Only two people are left now."
"Which two people? One should be the leader of the Warlock Council, who Maxwell named. Who is the other?" Salazar asked.
"The second person is already here. After meeting you, I was going to meet him myself," Lucifer responded. "But before that, I want to ask you something."
"Ask what?" Salazar asked.
"I heard you're a man of your words? And that you never break your promise?" Lucifer asked Salazar.
"That's true. That's why I rarely promise anything. That's actually one of my powers, or curse if you want to call it that."
"Can you tell me about that curse?" Lucifer asked, curious.
Previously he had thought that it was simply because Salazar Lucia was a man of his words, but to know that it was because of his ability that was new.
"You told me the secret about your father, so I'll tell you this as well. In any case, it's not something anyone can use against me anyway," Salazar muttered, sitting beside Lucifer.
"I actually have two powers. One of them is, as you saw, Time Manipulation. I'm sure you know how it works, but within a certain range, I can slow down time to some extent. My other power is the more complicated one though."
"Is that the one you used on Kellian?" Lucifer asked.

Is currently being rewritten. Darius is a guy with no friends because the friends of his friends don't like him and so he has no friends. Legacy, a vrmmo game, is the first of its kind to actually look like the fantasy games kids dream of. Darius gets the game, planning to just have fun and maybe get some friends. Unfortunately, he's the protagonist, so yeahhhh shit's gonna happen He chooses the mage class which is often ridiculed for its low health and high MP costs. And he somehow becomes the top player within the game... There is gonna be fucking profanity because books where the protagonist is like "fiddlesticks" when they fuck up are stupid and targeted at kids that haven't gone thru puberty yet. And yes, there will be gore. Otherwise what's the point of these games? The cover is not mine and I don't own it okay I just got it off one of those sites rate this if you feel like it

So What If I'm Trash? Who Needs Cultivation?!
Qing Shan Long. They say he isn't human. An escaped experiment from some government facility, a reincarnation of a saint, a freakish superhuman. Whatever he was one thing was clear. Be it Music, Martial Arts, Science, whatever he does he excels. He was a whimsical man. A great man. A man who craving for knowledge and excitement knows no bounds, whose collection of books and personal library would even make Alexander the Great green with envy. He donated to all manners of charities and funded many projects for helping the poor and disabled. A self made man who single handedly founded one of the largest corporations in the world, Wen Qu Technologies, whose influences reach from vast fields of expertise. From objects of war such as the newest aircrafts, droids, and body armor; to life saving medicine and vaccines; to even the mundane such as video games and the fast food industry. A legendary example of determination and hard work. He was in his car being driven to a business meeting to disclose a deal that would help ensure the country could have access to clean energy and help reduce the pollution that has been plaguing his homeland for the past millenia when he was assassinated and woke up in a strange new world. How will Qing Shan deal with his new environment where the strong suppresses the weak? From the top of the world he suddenly finds himself free falling to rock bottom. Unable to cultivate, a weak body, and all but disowned by his family. (For those who read comics and watch cartoons, imagine him as being Tony Stark, Richard Reeds, Jimmy Neutron, etc level of 'Genius'. ) My own spin on some familar tropes. Another reincarnation into another world story. The MC will take over the body of someone with a trash body that can't cultivate and will be hated and neglected by his family. Pretty typical so far right? Except there won't be some amazing miracle to heal our MC, there isn't some magical grandpa to teach him some OP thing which only his trash body can use, there isn't a hidden op bloodline, and he is not from a super amazing assassin clan or genius doctor. He isn't the chosen one, he's just a guy trying his best to make something with a crap situation. First attempt at a wuxia type story! I like playing with common tropes, maybe adding a twist, to playing it straight as a classic. I have absolutely no idea where this is going to take me but please do give your input and I'll do my best so that everyone has a say in where our journey will go. I'll admit the only knowledge I have of chinese history and ancient society is from reading light novels translated to english and some old dramas, so if I make some social passe just take it as because this is another world, not exactly an AU where magic and stuff actually exist. I'm also not actually Chinese and will basically using google to help me with names and other such, if I make a mistake please let me know! (Even if you don't like the story or couldn't bare to get past chapter 1 please leave a comment so I can find out where to improve, thank you!)
