Shadowslash fired a [Fireball] into the bull's private part, blasting it.

The bull started to jump; prancing about, he kept stomping the ground like a man experiencing his 'thing' being blasted which can cause an indescribable pain.

"Sans don't show yourself yet!"

Shadowslash ordered Sans to just keep hiding in the bushes while he fired another [Fireball] into the already destroyed private part of the bull.

*Boom*

The attack further worsen the bull's condition. It can't even stand anymore. Its back leg gave up making the bull look like sitting still.

However, Shadowslash remained calm, he did not come close and only continued firing at a distance but this time targeting the bull's face. When the bull saw Shadowslash, its eyes started glowing red bwcause it realised that this little fox was the main culprit behind the attack on his 'thing'.

It let out a sound between wailing and aggrived Moo while trying to stand. Alas, the pain of having his private part destroyed made it slumped again. The scene became like a sitting duck to Shadowslash's eyes.

A minute later, with Shadowslash continuous attack, the bull was finally killed. Its face has exploded, leaving a headless corpse.

"Sans, drag it back to our home."

It took an hour to bring the bull's carcass back to their abode. When his mother looked at the bull's corpse, she stared at him with a complicated expression while his sisters look at him with eyes filled with adoration.

They have a lavish meal thereafter. With how huge the bull is, Sans got half of it when all of them finished eating. This time, all of them leveled up including his mom. Too bad she could only be in Bronze Rank.

San was also close to evolving. It was announced by the SYSTEM to him.

Shadowslash and his sisters have leveled up twice. Such an eventful day, hence, he and Sans rested for the rest of the day.

The next day, Sans and Shadowslash were searching for prey in the forest.

They got a glimpse of many monsters, nonetheless, they were all in lower level.

Shadowslash have already decided to hunt only Level 9 and 10 so they kept exploring more.

On their way, they encountered a huge golden spider eating a big black python.

Shadowslash tried to scan it but no results were shown by the SYSTEM, meaning that it is Bronze Rank at least.

Furthermore, Shadowslash saw a shivering little snake. They have the same features with the huge python that the spider is eating.

Shadowslash was about to leave when he suddenly remembered he saw the two on the gathering of intelligent monsters so he changed his plan and decided to rescue the little snake.

He sneakily walk towards the little snake and push its head on the ground so that it won't make a sound. He carried it into his mouth by grabbing it in its neck and started to leave. Because of his cute little paw he didn't make a sound when sneaking out.

Shadowslash left with Sans to find a much safer place. After leaving the place, he puts the snake down and started asking him about what happened.

The snake looks extremely frightened and downcast but still informed Shadowslash about what happened. His mother and him was hunting for food when the golden spider ambushed them and it was an instant death. His mother's last word to him was to flee.

Shadowslash nodded and patted the little snake's head. After hearing his story he felt pity for him. Nevertheless, this made his determination on leveling up skyrocket. This isn't earth and he was not human anymore. This is the forest in a different world and circumstances. What rules here is survival of the fittest. Either you become the predator or you'll be prey.

He then looks at the snake and asks, "what are you gonna do now? what is your plan?"

Upon hearing his question the snake trembled and seems a little loss.

'SYSTEM can I make this snake my summoned monster?'

(Yes you can if the monster agreed to it in becoming your summoned monster, but you also need to exactly explain honestly what he will lose and gained or else the System can not help the Host)

Shadowslash's gaze fell upon the little snake once more. With a complicated expression, he still said,

"I can make you my summoned monster and help you grow. In return, you must follow my command unhesitatingly. That means you will lose your freedom, would that be fine with you?"

The snake looks at him and ask

"will you help me in taking revenge?"

Shadowslash lets out a snort and answered,

"if you become my summoned monster, that means you are now a part of my family so of course I will help you defeat your enemies."

The snake then answered,

"then I accept being your summoned monster even though it means losing my freedom, after all if you did not rescue me I would have been dead so I technically owe you my life."

Shadowslash then had the SYSTEM go on the summoning contract process.

A beam came from his head and entered the snake's head,

"I shall now name you Banjo"

He then look at the snake information.

Shadowslash was shocked to find that Banjo was a Space Type monster in a Superior Grade. Also he had one amazing ability but why is the Strength Attribute on the bracket and why is the passive ability locked he then asked the SYSTEM,

It needs a condition: For Banjo, it needs to grow at least a meter in length to unlock his innate Attribute)

(Locked ability also needs a requirement.

To unlock Banjo's requirement is to gather Space element and stuff the element into a scale)

Shadowslash then nodded and taught Banjo the method of unlocking his passive ability.

After an hour Banjo finally unlocked his second passive ability.

Shadowslash was very jealous, to think that Banjo and Sans have 2 innate abilities he then asks the SYSTEM:

'The higher the grade, the higher the chance that a monster can gain a innate ability?'

The SYSTEM replied:

(No, the higher the grade, the number of slots of the innate ability increased.

Normal grade can only obtain one slot for an innate ability, Good grade has 2 and Rare grade has 3)

'By the way how many grades are there?'

(Normal, Good, Rare, Very Rare, Excellent, Superior. This is the only grade that the System gathered for now by recording the Host and summoned monsters stats)

'Then Banjo can learn 4 more ability?'

(Yes)

Shadowslash was enlightened. No wonder the higher the grade, the stronger the monster is.

It is because higher grade monsters can learn more ability than lower grade monsters.

Shadowslash then brought Banjo with them on their daily hunt. They explored the forest until they found a Level 9 (Good Grade) Fire Slime.

Shadowslash ordered Sans to take the core. However, the slime noticed the charging skeleton and shoots [Fireball] at it to protect itself.

The attack did not faze Sans at all and kept charging until it arrived in front of the slime. It then plunged its bony arm deep into the slime's body grabbing the core and pulling it out. It returned to Shadowslash presenting the core he got.

Shadowslash looks at the core but what really got his attention was Sans arm that is melting.

He sucked on a cold breath thinking that even a Steel Type monster arm was melted by a slime acid.

'SYSTEM can Sans arm be healed?'

(Yes by simply eating a monster, he can greatly increased they regenerating ability.)

'Can this core help you?'

(Yes with this core, the System can gain an ability to increase the capability of the Host or summoned monsters to gather and accumulate Fire elements.)

(This core can also be devoured by host to evolve into a Fire Fox but Host will lose the Dark Attribute)

'Is there any method that can prevent my Dark Attribute from disappearing?'

(There is. If you chose to evolve in a place filled with Dark Element or have an elemental Dark item that has the same value of the fire core)

Shadowslash continued hunting. He was also searching for another Fire Slime to take their core to upgrade the SYSTEM.

They keep exploring but found no good prey. Sans killed all the monster they encountered and devoured them. After devouring 10 low level monsters his arms are fully healed.

They returned at sundown with no high level prey found. They brought 3 mid level monsters: Level 6 Iron Tusked Boar, Level 5 Sand Racoon, Level 4 Wind Deer Shadowslash. They also shared Banjo's tragic encounter to his mother.

Mary then nodded and accepted Banjo as a member of the family. After Shadowslash told her that Banjo is now his underling they then used cooked Shadowslash preys and had a sumptuous dinner.

Sans ate the deer all by himself. Meanwhile, his mother is now used to him being the hunter and brining food for the family. Therefore, she now devotes herself with training her daughters.
