The electricity snaking across Michael’s arm converged to form a dark blue spike in his hand. He then attempted to strike Callan with the energy weapon. Callan had literally lost an arm and a leg to his opponents, and he was bleeding so much that it was surprising that he wasn’t dead yet. The attack would certainly destroy his remaining HP and kill him if it was allowed to hit.

I charged full speed toward Callan and activated Battle Astral Wind. Arriving just in time, I skidded in front of the dragon knight captain, slammed the Dragon God Shield to the ground, and used my entire body to withstand the incoming blow!

The explosion resounded long and loud within the canyon. Michael hadn’t charged the lightning blast for almost 7 seconds for nothing, that’s for sure. Not only did the skill deal over 1.1 million damage to me, it was the result of a successful Guard. Otherwise, I would’ve lost 2 million HP or more. The knockback impact was no weaker as it sent me and my shield skidding across the ground for dozens of meters, leaving behind a deep ditch that looked like a scar across the clearing. I had had to pick up Callan right before I was about to hit him, or my momentum would have been enough to kill him all the same.

When we skidded to a stop, Callan’s weak voice entered my ears, "Why have you saved me again, young man?"

I replied, "A good man like you don’t deserve a death like this."

After I set Callan behind me, I made a sudden charge toward Michael and attempted to hit him with God Binding Art. Unfortunately, he easily dodged the binding skill with his insane speed and appeared in front of me before I realized what had just happened. He let out a malicious cackle before saying, "Do you really think you can protect Callan, boy? Dream on! He must die no matter what!"

I clenched my teeth and activated Heavenly River Transformation. Bloody energy surrounded me in a cyclone, and a pair of wings spread out behind my back. It was my only hope to survive the impending assault.

I planted my palm on the ground and cast Rise of the Guardian Dragon. The energy blast struck not just Michael, but also his master, Mingyu.

Michael raised his sharp claws and struck me three times in a row, causing my HP to drop below 700k instantly. Suddenly, a tiny warmth diminished the tearing pain across my body slightly. It was Murong Mingyue and Pure Love casting their healing spells on me.

Lian Xin moved in front of me, activated her Telekinetic Shield and dropped a ton of Origin Force Fields around Michael. Then, she slowed him with Ice Spiral Matrix and damaged him with God Devil Break for over 300k damage. Some distance away, Beiming Xue attempted to trap Michael with Shock Arrow + Well of the Abyss, but neither took effect because both Michael and Mingyu were godlike bosses. They couldn’t be affected by mere Divine General Skills at all.

He Yi launched a Purgatory of Ice and Magma into Michael’s back, but the latter retaliated by dropping to just 35% HP in a single strike. It wasn’t unexpected. The guy could two-shot even me, much less everyone else.

Meanwhile, Warsky and Candlelight Shadow had burst into the clearing with their respective parties. Even Flowing Cloud and Snowy Night were on the move. Callan had cut Mingyu down to size and left him with less than 10% HP, and whoever killed Mingyu would obtain the Dragonslaying Sword, a Divine Armament whose name alone sent shivers through every player’s heart. When would they attack if not now?

Warsky raised the Immortal Blade and declared with great passion, "Ride with me to rescue Lu Chen and his party, brothers and sisters! Miraculously, Farewell Song successfully stunned the boss and was rewarded with all the time in the world to carve into the former Dragon Speaker’s body. Of course, it was really Prince Lin Qian’s body. Not even Farewell Song could penetrate the Defense of Mingyu’s real body.

Ringwraith was also firing his spells away from the distance and reducing Mingyu’s HP at an incredible rate. The poor guy didn’t even manage to last more than three exchanges.

Furious, Blue Sky Scar killed Laughing At The Heavens with a flurry skill before activating Heavenly River Transformation. Then, he unleashed his Ancient Divine Skill, Cyan Dragon Slash, upon his enemies!

The image of a dragon appeared above Blue Sky Scar as he swung out. He actually managed to find an angle to hit Warsky, Song of Ice and Fire, God Bone and Ringwraith all at once. He was a CGL Hall of Famer and Candlelight Shadow’s right-hand man. Although he was often overshadowed, he wasn’t actually a weakling at all.

The S Rank Ancient Divine Skill hit all four players and dropped Warsky, Song of Ice and Fire and God Bone to red health. Ringwraith was even one-shot by it!

It wasn’t over yet. Shock Arrow appeared at the worst possible moment and stunned Warsky. It was Transient Smoke and Clouds who landed the shot. He would’ve died if it wasn’t for the healing effects of the Immortal Blade.

Blue Sky Scar charged toward Warsky. "Keep CCing him like this, Smoke and Clouds! We’ll kill this fucker and get his Immortal Blade first! The Twelve Divine Armaments are practically wasted in the hands of trash like him!"

Warsky kept backing away and searching for obstacles to hide from Transient Smoke and Clouds’ arrows. Suddenly, he came to a stop and smiled eerily at Blue Sky Scar. "Who are you calling trash, Blue Sky Scar?!"

Farewell Song withstood the pain and kicked Candlelight Shadow on the wrist, pushing himself away to safety in one smooth motion. Or so he thought. As if he had predicted everything, Candlelight Shadow charged ahead of time to where Farewell Song would end up, swung his sword in a wide arc and activated his Heavenly River Transformation. The warrior wasn’t playing around anymore. He found an angle with lightning speed, and he dropped his Pangu’s Axe right on top of Song of Ice and Fire, Warsky and Farewell Song!

Boom!

All three CGL Hall of Famers let out groans of pain and dropped to their knees. Candlelight Shadow instakilled all of them!
