Black Tech Internet Cafe System Chapter 535 – Unrivaled Mechanical bull
Translator: Noodletown Translations Editor: Noodletown Translations
If the players persisted in making good use of the fatigue points every day from the beginning, even those with poor talent wouldn’t lag behind for more than one or two levels compared to others. If the players had good skills, they would be doing well.
At this moment, two black-clothed figures were busy playing Dungeon Fighter Online in the least eye-catching corner of the shop.
On their screens was a middle-aged man with a black cross printed on the back of his robe and a woman wearing a black priest robe with a sickle in her hand.
Before them was a horrifying monster that was as tall as two people. It was half bull and half machine and held a huge axe in its hand.
Its head looked more like a dragon’s than a bull’s.
Looking at its huge body, exaggerated muscles, and mechanical body, no one would doubt its tremendous strength.
Standing before it, players could all feel a huge suppression pushing toward them.
“Be careful!” The female priest looked grim. Different from the original game, the players who were doing awakening missions in the virtual reality version would enter a dungeon of real-life difficulty, so the players could experience the huge pressure as if they were in the real world, speeding up the awakening process.
“There’s nothing to be afraid of!” The tall avenger snorted while he took out the huge sickle that he carried on his back. “My level 45 blue sickle has been reinforced to level 13; I don’t believe that any monster can block my blade!”
“You’re right…” The female priest agreed. “With our countless years of experience with spiritual spells and combat skills, nothing can trouble us.”
Suddenly, this huge mechanical bull stood up with cold godly lights in its eyes. Meanwhile, many strange magic arrays appeared on the ground.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
All kinds of monsters appeared in each magic array, from the small ones, such as goblins that players had battled before, to the big bull-headed monsters, that were strengthened by machines.
Meanwhile, a dazzling huge sickle hacked into this mechanical bull’s head.
Clank!
A strange energy shield lit up, and the mechanical bull remained intact!
“How come this monster is so hard to damage?!” The figure concealed in the big black robe sounded astonished, and his eyeballs almost popped out of his eye sockets.
In a flash, the bull-headed machine king opened its mouth and spat out a streak of hot blazing flames.
The virtual reality version was different from the original game. In the original game, there were usually huge signs before each move so that the players could have time to react.
Standing before them was a horrifying war machine. With a wave of its huge axe, the ground cracked, and the huge collision force shattered a building in one go!
Meanwhile, the machine army that it summoned from the experiment field swarmed up from all directions.
At this, many magic arrays lit up on the ground.
In the blink of an eye, the machine army that surrounded them doubled.
The superior presence emitting from the mechanical bull even drove high-level monsters such as demon cats at the outer range of the forest to lunge at the two.
Soon, the area was turned into a huge sea of monsters which grew from hundreds to thousands. The two were surrounded by so many monsters that they couldn’t see the end of them!
They watched the scene and were at a loss for words.
…
Vilmark – Area 50 was a huge secret experiment field for weapons. It was originally built by the DeLos Empire to develop all kinds of strange war tools. In fact, not only the mechanical bull, but experiments such as Metastasis (female slayers were the few survivors of this experiment) all came from this experiment field.

Hidden in the depths of the forest of Grand Flores, it was fraught with dangers.
The most horrifying thing was the boss, which was the mechanical bull king. It could summon all the machine force from the whole experiment field. Besides, it was an intelligent machine with super abilities, and it was equipped with a powerful energy shield. If one couldn’t find its weakness, it was impossible to leave a scratch on it.
Of course, the players needed to go through a series of tests before they could enter this area; they couldn’t enter it until the Bel Myre Principality gave them the mission and granted them the map and permit to the experiment field.
Zong Wu and others had finished this series of missions and the first half of the awakening mission. Zong Wu had gone to King’s Rune to train for the sensing of the death wave. When he came to Grand Flores two days later, he found that almost everyone had reached level 49.
Elvenguard was the only entrance to Vilmark – Area 50.
“Sir, is this so-called Area 50 difficult to pass?” Zong Wu looked at the dense forest before him and asked the question. The previous King’s Rune had a daunting difficulty level; he and Nalan Hongwu had spent many life tokens to barely pass it.
It was almost unbearable to them since they couldn’t resurrect in the real world.
Since Vilmark – Area 50 came after the King’s Rune, it was probably the last test before awakening, which meant that it had the highest difficulty level among all dungeons.
“I saw two people enter; I wonder how they are doing.” Beside them was a player of Jiuhua City Shop, and he had also reached level 48.
The moment he said it, they heard a voice say, “How come this mechanical bull is so difficult to fight?!”
Two disheveled black-robed priests resurrected and said, “I can’t leave a scratch on this monster with my weapon that had been reinforced to level 13!”
The female priest’s face was hidden in the cloak, and no one could see her expression. However, she sounded very displeased, “In my opinion, this place isn’t a mission prepared for awakening. My purple weapon reinforced to level 11 couldn’t even break its shield.”
“So difficult?” The passerby froze. After all, a purple weapon reinforced to level 11 was a godly weapon at this stage to the players, but it couldn’t break the monster’s defense?!
This monster sounds unrivaled!
“The boss can summon endless monsters. Eventually, you will find yourself surrounded by an ocean of monsters, and it’s impossible to get out!” The other complained, “I can’t believe that the empire has designed such a monster; it is tricky to deal with. I don’t think it’s something that we can deal with at our current level.”
Vilmark – Area 50 was a nightmarish dungeon for all players below level 60, so it wasn’t so easy to pass.
“Ugh…” The passerby froze for a moment. “I heard the shop owner say that he is leading a team to pass the mechanical bull.”
Zong Wu’s face twitched. “Sir, can you do it?”
Some people claimed that it was impossible to pass while the shop owner claimed that anyone who were not noobs could join his team and pass.
Who should I believe?
“Is this kid boasting?” The avenger looked at Mr. Fang in doubt.
By now, a few other players had also resurrected; they looked weak after falling to defeat the mechanical bull.
They couldn’t break the bull’s defense and later didn’t even have a chance to get close to the monster. When surrounded by herds of monsters, even gods couldn’t defeat it!

A King in the Clouds
Tanlar. A cruel, repulsive, and foul word. It meant untitled, officially, but it also meant ungifted, unable, unworthy, unnecessary, unhuman. It was more a curse than a term, a badge only the damned and condemned wore. To be a tanlar was to know your life, your entire being, was insignificant. Once Kaizer had resigned himself to such a fate, but those times had passed. He may have been untitled, but he was anything but untalented. He refused to scrape by at the bottom of society. Those who stood above him could sneer all they liked, but he wouldn’t suffer being stepped on for long. He’d be better, much better. But of course he would be. ‘Fate’ demanded it so. [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] What To Expect: The story of a boy becoming a man becoming a king + everything that entails. Largely gamelit, but later arcs could be called litrpg. Also schemes. A lot of schemes. I do love some good ol' fantasy politics and intrigue. Minimum Word Count a Week: TBA after Writathon Release Time(s): Daily for as long as I can/until the end of the Writathon. I also write The Deathseeker [Returning Dec 5th]

NEVER SPLIT THE PARTY: The Adventures of The Creeping Bam (BOOK ONE: The Job)
TAO is a broken world held together with nothing but magic and the will of the gods who protect it and its people. Then thousand years ago THE SUNDERING struck and Tao was almost torn apart by a terrible magical cataclysm which resulted in the planet almost being halted in its journey through the cosmos. It took all the power the gods of Tao could muster to restore its orbit and set it turning again, but in their efforts it was forever changed – its axis was drastically altered, and it now spins in such a way that one face of the world is forever turned from the sun it orbits, leaving half the planet in perpetual darkness. The various humanoid races that survived and now thrive within the habitable parts of THE DAY LANDS have come to live in perpetual fear of what lives beyond THE BORDERLANDS that separate them from whatever dwells within THE NIGHT LANDS, but for ten millennia it has kept its secrets. The land of RUNDAO languishes under the rule of their warlike Northern neighbours, the TEKTEHRAN EMPIRE, while a small, ragtag band of motley adventurers ply their mercenary trade fighting monsters and protecting the common man from the various dangers that haunt the night and prowl the hinterlands on the edges of civilization. THE CREEPING BAM have amassed a modest reputation in their years together, but they’re still just a small-time party of sellswords, thieves, outcasts and mages. They’re also exactly the kind of underdogs the people of Tao doesn’t yet realise are needed to save the world from the encroaching darkness they doesn’t even know is coming … This is a love letter and homage to the high-fantasy worlds of the tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder and Warhammer and the sword & sorcery cinema and literature I fell in love with as a kid growing up in the 80s, from Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian (and the awesome Schwarzenegger movie, STILL my favourite fantasy film EVER), The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and Ron Howard and George Lucas’ Willow, to the more grown-up and edgy worlds of grimdark masters George RR Martin and (my all-time favourite) Joe Abercrombie, as well as a BIG DOLLOP of Terry Pratchett’s immortal Discworld series. IMPORTANT: This story contains material which some readers may consider to be mature, such as battle violence, some strong language and occasional mild sexual scenes. If this is not your kind of thing, this story is not for you. I am also serializing this story on Tumblr, Wattpad, Quotev and Sweek.
