Black Tech Internet Cafe System Chapter 621 – I Heard You Found Clues to the Assassins Who Tried to Assassinate Luther?

Mr. Fang was unmoved by Elina’s disdainful comments.
In fact, even the Mercenary Crete thought that the shop owner wasn’t a good businessman. If he were the shop owner, he would have used this opportunity to get rich overnight!
“Humph! If the new game isn’t released in a few days, we’ll go and try the new mystical realm released by the Dulan Workshop!” One knight of the Golden Griffin Knight Legion said with a snort.
…
As an important city for foreign exchange and trade in the Morning Light Empire, Canglan City was also a good example of the empire’s traditional value on combat techniques.
The Golden Griffin Knight Legion was the city’s highest-level guardian force, and Commander Elven was a powerful late-stage level 7 warrior. In the legion, there were several high-level mages, and even the ordinary knights were on and above level 6.
The legion commander position of the knight legion was usually appointed by the Hymia Family.
The Hymia Family attached great value to cultures and arts and had been promoting cultivation mystical realms, playing an important role in strengthening the warriors and mages with great combat techniques.
As one of the few human forces which deserved to be called an empire on the continent, the Morning Light Empire had a powerful saint level master as its emperor. However, even in this empire, not many people had reached level 8 or level 9.
In this empire, it had its own ranking system for evaluating combat techniques. The evaluations were usually done jointly by the specific professional union and the Alchemist Union.
This ranking and evaluation system had been started and promoted by the Hymia Family.
Master was a high rank. Below it, there were four ranks including high rank, middle rank, low rank, and apprentice.
Those who were called masters had high-level comprehension of combat techniques.
For example, this old man with short gray hair was one of them.
“Lately, that Elven is getting more and more out of hand!” The old man wearing black aristocratic clothes said in disapproval.

“What did he do?” In a clean and tidy study room inside a grand castle, a dignified middle-aged man in black silk clothes sat on a chair before a desk piled with documents and files.
His broad forehead and blazing eyes showed his unusual intelligence. In one glance, people would see that he was a man with great vision.
“His stupid training method… jumping from the bell tower?!” The old aristocrat said with a snort, “It is a disgrace!”
Instead of talking about this issue, the middle-aged man asked, “The elves have finished their business here, right? Are they still in the city?”
“Yes, My Lord,” The old man said, “They are close to Ms. Helen. I wonder what this Elven is up to. Even Ms. Helen joined this moronic…”
“Okay.” Hearing her name, a faint genial smile appeared on the middle-aged man’s face while he looked at the sunshine that was pouring into the room through the windows. “I got it, Mr. Bassak. If that’s all, I’ll take some rest now.”
The old man said in reluctance, “Yes, My Lord.”
After the old man was gone, the middle-aged man walked to the window and looked up at the sky while murmuring to himself, “This world is bigger than we can imagine. Sometimes, we encounter things that are… unexpected.”
…
The mercenary tavern was boisterous as usual with all kinds of people coming and going. They traded rumors in the city, information about magic beasts, and news about the mystical realms.
At this moment, a few weirdly-dressed people walked in. They all wore pure-white robes.
They all wore wide yellow leather belts on which hung two daggers and a leather-sheathed long sword. The white hoods concealed their heads, revealing only the lower half of their faces.
They looked secretive, but the white robes gave them an elegant and pure look of scholars. While the white robes made them stand out from the crowd, the hoods kept their faces hidden.
They looked mysterious and low-profiled.
“Wow… is this the newest style this year?” A young mercenary gaped at these newcomers.
“I’ve never seen people dressed like this before. What profession is this? Warriors?”

“They look like mages, but why are they carrying so many melee weapons?”
“Coo!” A female mercenary dressed in sexy clothes asked, “These cool guys are newcomers in the city?”
Instantly, everyone in the tavern looked toward them.
The female mercenary dressed in sexy clothes walked up. “Do you guys want to have a drink with me?”
The man in the middle pulled over his hood, revealing a thin face under blond hair. He looked around in bafflement.
“Crete?!”
The female mercenary spat out, “Pu-!”
“How come you’re dressed like this?!” an acquaintance asked.
“From now on, please call me Master Assassin Crete!” Crete said proudly.
“Assassin?” The mercenaries froze and then burst into laughter. “Are you serious?”
“Assassin?!”
“Do you mean those lowly and filthy people?” A brown-haired man walked up and slapped his hand on Crete’s chest while saying with a smirk.
“No! No! No! I think you’re mistaken, Buddy.” Crete looked at him in disdain and said, “Brother, you’ve never heard of Assassin’s Creed? Don’t be so ignorant; you must come out and get to know the world. Now, even the members of the Golden Griffin Knight Legion are ordering this outfit.”
“Golden Griffin Knight Legion? Assassins?” The brown-haired mercenary laughed. “Brother, are you still sleeping?”
“I think it’s you who need to wake up.” With a serious expression, Crete pointed out the door.
Several mercenaries were standing on the top of the building across from the tavern. Regardless if they were wearing white robes, they all spread out their arms.
“What are they doing up there?”
“A group building-jumping event?!”
“What are they doing?” At this moment, the mercenaries in the tavern froze in fear as they had no idea of what was going on.
“Ahh…!” The group of people leaped down from the top of the building.
It was easy for the mercenaries to jump down from a building that was only three stories.
They landed perfectly!
Seemingly unsatisfied, they got up again with crisp movements. This time, more people walked out from the crowd and joined the jumping group.
“Oh…!”
What is wrong with these guys?!
They stared at the scene in shock.
What the heck?!
It would be acceptable if it was one person’s antics, but there were so many of them!
More importantly, they found that these people indeed looked graceful when they leaped down from the sky as if they were flying.
Are they practicing some new combat techniques?!
The most puzzling is that these guys are mumbling something about ‘assassins’ and the ‘leap of faith.’
What are those things?!
As an assassin, Elina usually pretended to be a mercenary and moved with them.
But now, she suddenly saw so many fake assassins!
I, a real assassin, haven’t shown off yet, and you imposters are trying to show off now?
Immediately, she climbed to the highest point and thought, I will show you what the real leap of faith looks like.
“My goodness!”
“That woman…!?”
“So high?!”
“What’s happening to this world?!”
The audience was baffled as if they couldn’t understand this world anymore.
“What combat techniques are they practicing?!”
“I remember it! The Golden Griffin Knight Legion have done this before!”
The godly palace had always been sensitive to assassins, especially after their attempt on assassinating Luther.
“These damn remaining evil doers. We must catch them and torture them!” A man wearing the knight armor of the Judgement Godly Palace said gloomily.
“Mr. Glass, I heard that you’ve found clues about those escaped assassins?” A man wearing a priest robe asked in a low voice.
“Yes. They are hiding in the Mercenary Union,” the armored knight said in a cold voice.
“But, we’re in Canglan City. I’m afraid we can’t…” another man in a priest robe said with worry in his voice.
“If we capture them and find evidence that they tried to assassinate Mr. Luther, even the Duke can’t stop us!”
The armored knight hurried to the tavern and said, “I heard that there are assassins here? I’m looking for assassins who tried to kill Mr. Luther. I hope you can help us. After all, I don’t think you want these villains to hide among you.
“We only want to know who the assassins are!” the man in armor asked coldly.
“I am!” All the people on the roof looked down.
“We all are.”
“!!??”
