My Senior Brother Is Too Steady Chapter 156

Chapter 156 Changgeng’s First Memorial
“Brother Sect Master, I’m at the peak of the Perfected Immortal realm!”
“Oh? However, the Dragon King’s bloodline has awakened. The cultivation is so quick.”
In the temple of the Sea God in Anshui City, the spiritual wills of the two statues went back and forth and contacted each other again.
Before the Immortal Du Sect set off, Li Changshou summoned Ao Yi again and was concerned about the situation of the dragon race.
When Ao Yi saw Li Changshou, he excitedly said that his cultivation level had advanced. He said that his master had enlightened him and his words made Li Changshou feel emotional…
Not only was he a winner amongst the dragons, he even advanced!
Li Changshou smiled and said, “I read in the ancient books of Ren School that the Enlightenment Empowerment is only for the disciple to gain enlightenment. However, one’s own realm needs to be natural and stable. It cannot be forced. Of course, you are part of Jie School so you have different ideals from Ren School. You don’t have to care too much about my words.”
Ao Yi’s expression turned serious. He bowed and said, “Sect Master, you’re right. I must pay more attention.”
Li Changshou and Ao Yi discussed the development of the sect and Li Changshou asked about the situation of the dragon race.
The chaos in the Four Seas was still not resolved. The dragon race did not attack the seamen that had followed him for countless years.
The dragon race also knew who was behind that.
However, the dragon race could not find a place to reason. They could only comfort, suppress, and comfort again… Li Changshou said, “Recently, I’ve thought of a method that would be beneficial to the dragon race. However, I only have a vague idea that is far from being formed.”
Ao Yi was shocked. He quickly asked, “Did the higher-ups… give me a reminder?”
“It was indeed mentioned by the Great Daoist Master.” Li Changshou pondered for a while and deliberately put on a troubled expression. “Don’t worry. Wait for me to consider this carefully before speaking to you about it again, Brother Yi.”
“Thank you, Brother Sect Master!”
Ao Yi looked ashamed. He bowed again and performed a Dao salute. The young man’s face was filled with gratitude.
The human race was truly a mysterious race. There were sullen-faced and merciless elders and gentlemen who were steady, elegant, refined, gentle, heroic, and kind, like Brother Sect Master…
Perhaps, this is what the protagonist of the world should be like!
Li Changshou asked, “Your master has enlightened you. Do you want to participate in the Three Sects’ Meet?”
“Yes!” Ao Yi nodded profusely and told him about the matter of his master, the Great Black Clouds Immortals, bestowing the jade turtle shell to him.
Li Changshou immediately took note of this matter and asked casually, “Are there many seniors in Golden Ao Island who are going to attend the meet?”
Ao Yi’s expression turned a little strange, but he still said, “Originally, only twelve to thirteen Uncle-Masters, Aunt-Masters, and Senior Brothers were going to participate in the meet. However, previously, the outer sect disciple, Uncle-Master Zhao, came to Golden Ao Island to give us a lecture. He asked us to send more people to the Three Sects’ Meet to increase the prestige of the Three Sects. Now, about three to four hundred immortals from the island are going to go to the Middle Continent together. However, I know that six of the ten Heavenly Lords on the island will head there!”

Li Changshou was rendered speechless.
Is this… an intercontinental fight?
Come to think of it, I had been instructed by the Saing to rush to the Three Sects’ Meet.
Could it be that Saint had asked his young disciple, who is not even two hundred years old… to go and prevent the fight between Jie School and Chan School?
This is impossible!
How could the Saint be so wise as to do that…
Ah, it’s hard to say.
He had to make preparations to leave at any time. If the situation was not right, he would immediately flee.
Ao Yi continued, “Furthermore, I heard from an Uncle-Master that Uncle-Master Zhao had visited all the other Immortal Islands in the five continents, including Peng Lai Island and the Nine Dragons Island. He had called many famous experts in the sect.”
When Li Changshou heard that, he could not help but support his forehead with one hand and sigh. “Isn’t this meeting supposed to be a gathering of the three sects of the Middle Continent? The various Immortal Islands of Jie School are the Dao origin of Jie School and many in-name disciples of the Saints live there. Why…”
Ao Yi smiled and said, “We are not too sure about the details, but it will definitely be very lively this time!” Lively?
It would indeed be very lively.
A scene surfaced in Li Changshou’s mind.
The disciples of the three Immortal Sects gathered in the hall, and the few Zenith Heaven and Golden Immortals from the Jade Void Palace who were present for the ceremony had brought more than ten immortals to attend the ceremony. In contrast, the immortals from the various Immortal Islands of Jie School had plenty of company…
When the people of Chan School saw that, they immediately took out their communication jade token and started activating people.
“Eldest Senior Brother Guang Chengzi! There are too many members from Jie School! Call all twelve Golden Immortals. If you can’t do it, ask Yun Zhongzi, the South Pole Immortal, and the Deputy Sect Master of the Burning Lamp Sect to come as well! Remember to bring the treasures and array diagrams!”
If they did not agree, the chances of them fighting would be too high.
Their Ren School could not be compared to both parties. At most, there were two or three members. They were not of the same level…
Li Changshou groaned in his heart. He was once again filled with worry and uneasiness.
I should prepare more methods to escape.
At this moment, the Immortal Du Sect was about to set off. Li Changshou still could not understand why the Saint wanted him to go to the Three Sects’ Meet…
Li Changshou reminded Ao Yi a little more about the Sea God Sect before the two of them ended the spiritual communication.
Li Changshou struggled out of the dream he had constructed. He slowly opened his eyes and saw his master and junior sister walking towards him from outside the Pill Chamber.
Ding~
The bell in the Hundred Mortal Hall rang. Li Changshou lifted the hem of his Daoist robe and stood up. He bowed to his master.
“Master, I will be heading to the Middle Continent with the sect now.”
The old Daoist priest Qi Yuan instructed, “Don’t cause trouble. Remember to make more decisions for the sect and be responsible for leading the team.”
“I accept your orders.” Li Changshou smiled and walked out of the door. A white cloud gradually appeared beneath his feet.
Li Changshou looked at his junior sister and said, “Ling’e, cultivate peacefully in the mountains. Don’t cause trouble for Master. Remember that the treasure pouch I gave you cannot leave your body. If you encounter any trouble on the peak, go to Pill Tripod Peak and look for Elder Wan Linyun.”

“I’ll remember your instructions.” Lingle pursed her lips and nodded. She said gently, “Senior Brother… take care. When you come back…”
Li Changshou said calmly, “100 times.”
Ling’e immediately recalled the contents of the ‘Steadiness Sutra’— “When you come back, we’ll…” It was one of the ten taboos.
Ling’e pursed her lips and expressed assent aggrievedly. “Yes.” Li Changshou smiled and bowed slightly. Ling’e quickly lowered her head and bowed.
Then, Li Changshou said to Qi Yuan, who was smiling and did not know what was going on, “Master, I’m going now.” “Go, go.” Qi Yuan waved his hand. Li Changshou rode the cloud and retreated several feet before turning around and flying
Beside the Heaven-Breaking Peak was a three-hundred-feet-long and ten-feet-tall Dharma treasure ship. It had been floating for a few days.
Below the ship was a flat stone slab. There were several array formations carved on it, and there were many restrictions.
Although the construction of such a huge treasure ship was costly, the Immortal Du Sect could still afford it.
However, that Dharma treasure was a “Spirit Stone Grinder”. If it flew a thousand kilometers, more than a hundred Spirit Stones would be depleted on average…
If it were not for such a huge matter, the elders would not be willing to take out that treasure ship.
When they arrived at the Hundred Mortal Hall, Li Changshou naturally stood in a corner and hid in front of the statues of the three nameless Daoists. He did not attract anyone’s attention.
An hour later, Sect Leader Ji Wuyou, the two Grand Elders, and the twelve Heavenly Immortal realm elders led the thirty-six Perfected Immortals and forty-eight disciples to board the treasure ship.
Then, the mountain-protecting array formation’s light curtain slowly descended. This treasure ship was enveloped by multiple layers of light walls and flew towards the west. It was not slow.
After the treasure ship flew away, the mountain-protecting array formation once again closed. Elder Qi Ling and the other Grand Elders who were guarding the door also revealed their auras.
Before the Sect Leader and the others returned, they would be on guard and would not continue to enter seclusion.
There were many rooms on the ship, but they were all reserved for the Sect Leader and elders.
After the treasure boat flew out of the Immortal Sect, Sect Leader Wuyou coughed while smiling and said,
“You don’t have to be too restrained. You can do whatever you want. Only then will you be able to meet… ahem… the requirements of Ren School.”
After saying that, the Sect Leader went to the luxurious suite on the top floor of the treasure ship and left a group of disciples hanging on the deck.
Li Changshou greeted his fellow disciples who were familiar with him. He hung a few Sensing Stones in an inconspicuous corner on the treasure ship and found a quiet spot on the back deck. He quietly meditated and closed his eyes.
He seemed to be diligently cultivating, but in reality, he had already begun to use his immortal senses to monitor his surroundings.
At the same time, Li Changshou checked the eight new paper effigies that were already in position.
The two new paper effigies were fine.
The six original ‘Human’ paper effigies were used as reserve forces. They were all well.
The new ‘Earth’ paper effigies were fine…
After spending an hour, Li Changshou finally finished checking the paper effigies that had been placed in various places. Then, he diverted most of his attention to the paper effigy under the Sea God Temple of Anshui
City.
The Heaven Immortal realm paper effigy appeared in the backyard of the main temple and went to a quiet pavilion that was guarded by a few Divine Envoys.
He naturally did not hide his lover there. If he did, his main body should have gone there…
Ahem, let’s get down to business.
Li Changshou reckoned that General Dongmu would appear again very soon.
“Let’s set this up first so that we won’t be in a flurry later on.”
Li Changshou took out an exquisite cloth that was a Dharma treasure. On the upper right corner, he picked up a brush and wrote a ‘Zou’ character in a seal font.
Then, he stood up and wrote, “The Little God of the South Ocean, Changgeng.”
Then, he wrote, ‘The Jade Emperor’s Mirror’…
After completing the three lines, he cut to the main topic.
“His Majesty’s decree has not been issued yet. I should not have used the letter to advise him. Please forgive me. However, I had been tossing and turning for the past few days. I could not feel at ease. There was something that I had to report to His Majesty as soon as possible, which is why I had gone overboard.
Recently, there were many injustices in the four seas. The Sea Clan had begun rebelling and the Four Dragon Palaces were in a terrible state. The living creatures in the sea were heavily injured. I happened to find out that someone else had been plotting something regarding this matter and wanted to force the dragon race into the West Continent. I felt uneasy.
If the Dragon race were to enter the West Continent, there would be a huge rise outside the Dao Sect. The rise of the Heavenly Courts would not be counted.
The Four Seas are the most important places in the Three Realms. There are no living beings in the ocean. The armies of the Dragon race and the Sea Clan are powerful and cannot be underestimated.
The dragon race is an ancient great race. Although they have great sins, they have yet to recover from their setbacks. There are many experts in the race.
If the dragon race can serve the Heavenly Courts and submit to His Majesty’s authority, follow His Majesty’s orders and abide by the Heavenly Courts’ rules, then the four seas would belong to the Heavenly Courts. This would be beneficial.
If His Majesty uses merit as a reward and allows the dragon race to follow His Majesty’s orders and control the weather, the rivers, lakes, and oceans of the South Continent, you will be able to promote the power of the Heavenly Courts in the South Continent, show the virtues of the Heavenly Courts, and increase the foundation of the Heavenly Courts. This would be the second benefit.
The trichiliocosm is also part of the Three Realms. They are under the control of His Majesty. The dragon race is stationed in the trichiliocosm. If you obtain the dragon race, they would be able to contribute to the trichiliocosm. This is the third benefit.
I am inexperienced and can only see the benefits…”
Li Changshou suddenly stopped writing. The white-haired paper effigy closed his eyes and returned to his original body. Someone was looking for him on the treasure ship.
It was not just one person who had arrived. The person in front was Youqin Xuanya. Behind her were Wang Qi and Liu Yan’er.
Li Changshou stood up and welcomed her. “Junior Sister Youqin, is there something important?”
Youqin Xuanya looked at Li Changshou and said softly, “No. I don’t know where to go, so I came to look for you, Senior Brother.”
Li Changshou nodded with a smile. He did not complain much in his heart.
His resistance to toxic had gradually increased.
On the other hand, Wang Qi and Liu Yan’er were not there to chat as they had something important to ask Li Changshou.
“Here’s what happened, Senior Brother Changshou…”
Wang Qi rubbed his nose, feeling a little embarrassed. He said in a low voice, “One of my uncle-masters… has a friend who is also a member of our sect. He wants to ask for a pill that was refined by you, Senior Brother.”
Li Changshou blinked at Wang Qi. Wang Qi looked sincere and added, “I naturally won’t let you refine it for free, Senior Brother Changshou.”
“This…” Li Changshou was about to reply when he suddenly sensed something.
General Dongmu appeared in a familiar little temple.
What a coincidence.
Li Changshou could only multi-task. Half of his attention was focused on the important matters of the Three Realms. The paper effigy quickly ended the memorial that was being written.
Half of his attention was focused on his junior brother’s “little post-marital troubles”. He smiled at Wang Qi and took out two jars of Poisonous Dragon Wine…
“Junior Brother, how about… you let your Uncle-Master’s friend try this medicinal wine first? If your Uncle-Master’s friend’s cultivation level is not high, he can drink a small cup at a time. There should be effects. Also… it’s best to use it when he gets back.”
Junior Brother Qi Qi pondered for a while and grabbed the Poisonous Dragon Wine over. He thanked him in a guilty tone. Liu Yan’er, on the other hand, looked elsewhere and blushed.
Li Changshou reminded again, “Remember to use it only when you go back.”
Wang Qi nodded and agreed.

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
