Chapter 501 The Gathering of the Storm Red Lotus, Interrupting the Hidden Struggle
The Kunlun Mountain was the place of the Saint’s Daoist Sect, the Jade Void Palace. It was also a place where famous itinerant cultivators gathered.
Most of the old immortals who were cultivating there were not directly related to Chan School. After all, Chan School had a high threshold for accepting disciples. Ordinary Golden Immortals could not compare to them.
Many immortals who cultivated there were smart and well-informed. They were closely related to the various towns and sects of the Middle Continent.
Therefore, Kunlun Mountain gradually became the gathering place for gossip in the Primordial World. The immortal banquets at the various peaks became the best social venue for immortals.
Du’e was an old celebrity.
In the past half a month, 90% of the news regarding the “twelfth-grade Red Lotus is about to appear” in the Primordial World originated from that.
At first, most of the immortals thought that it was fake news.
The Primordial World was too big. There were many similar rumors every day. It was difficult to distinguish the truth.
However, when the Ancestral Master of the Immortal Du Sect, the in-name disciple of the Saint of Ren School, Perfected Du’e, spoke after drinking, things changed.
“How can this news be fake? I’ve asked many good friends. The twelfth-grade Red Lotus is indeed about to appear. This item can suppress the fate of the sect! I’ve already sent a few of my good friends from Jie School to search in the Blood Sea. Don’t ask too much. Don’t spread this matter, lest I cause more trouble for my friends. I promised them that I would keep my mouth shut.”
Hence, the news that the twelfth-grade Red Lotus was about to appear spread throughout the five continents of the Primordial World, as well as the dozens of Major Chiliocosms nearby.
The experts of the various immortal sects and the Itinerant Immortals in the five continents of the Primordial World swarmed towards the sea of blood. The Netherworld had no choice but to be on guard, and the Heavenly Courts could only increase their troops again.
Fortunately, Li Changshou did not investigate the source of the news…
Once there were more experts in the sea of blood, things became complicated.
Although there were many Itinerant Cultivators and Immortal Sects, most of them were fighting on their own. When they encountered benefits, they would gather and naturally disperse when they encountered trouble.
The Asura Clan regarded the sea of blood as their home. They also valued the twelfth-grade red lotus and viewed all the Qi Refinement cultivators who came to the sea of blood to search for the red lotus.
Although they did not have accurate information about the red lotus, the two sides had already begun to fight. The Qi Refinement cultivators fought and retreated quickly. No one was willing to fight to the death.
The Western Sect, Chan School, and Jie School began to restrict their disciples, especially the Western Sect. Most of the experts had returned to the spiritual mountain and did not continue to participate in the sea of blood.
That made Li Changshou wonder if the Western Sect had already found the twelfth-grade red lotus but deliberately did not take it. They wanted to use it to cause the Three Sects of the Dao Sect to fight.
However, how could the Western Sect, which was known to be “poor”, not take such a treasure?
Or could it be that for some reason, they could not take out the blood lotus, so the Western Sect chose to give up and spread the news to use it to plot?
That was the most reasonable explanation. His head hurt. The only thing Li Changshou felt was a headache. At the edge of the sea of blood, in the array formation where 200,000 elite Heavenly Soldiers were stationed, he was pacing back and forth in his tent.
On the main seat, the Heavenly Courts’ General, Wei Shenmo, raised his hand to support his beard and said in a rough voice, “Water God, are the immortals of Chan School and Jie School still going to look for you?”
The Jade Emperor’s fourth incarnation had clearly spent some effort. From his appearance and words, he tried his best to avoid making others think of the Jade Emperor of the Heavenly Courts.
Li Changshou stopped in his tracks and sat back down. He sighed and said, “That can prove that the friends I have are not bad.”
“Oh?” Wei Shenmo supported the immortal helmet on his head. “Why do you say that?”
Li Changshou said, “We have been here for six days. The immortals from Jie School and Chan School who are familiar with me have yet to appear. They should be afraid that I will be in trouble.”
Wei Shenmo let out a heroic laugh and said, “That’s indeed the case. I originally thought that two experts from the two sects would meet you the moment we arrived. I was worried that they would fight here.”
“No, Marshal, don’t worry. Everyone knows… Huh?”
His immortal senses suddenly captured a stream of light shooting towards the Heavenly Soldiers’ camp from the east and west. There were two jade talismans inside.
This…
He had just praised them and soon, he received letters. A ray of golden light flashed quickly. The two jade talismans were 500 kilometers away from the camp when they were captured by the golden light.
After a while, the door of the tent opened. A Golden-Winged Roc dressed in a golden chainmail stepped in and held two jade talismans in front of Li Changshou.
“Teacher, I’ve already checked. There are no tricks!”
“Alright.” Li Changshou agreed and took the jade token calmly. In fact, he was still 80% vigilant.
After reading the information in the jade token, Li Changshou first frowned and then relaxed. He said softly, “Golden Roc, please continue patrolling outside.” “Okay!”
The Golden-Winged Roc cupped its hands and bowed. It turned around and left in a hurry. It was very energetic.
The Jade Emperor’s incarnation, Wei Shenmo, stood up and asked, “How is it?”
Li Changshou handed one of the jade talismans to Wei Shenmo and put the other into his sleeve. He smiled and said, “Marshal, don’t look at this.”
Wei Shenmo’s eyes lit up. He smiled and said, “Was it sent by Fairy Yun Xiao?”
“Yes.” Li Changshou heaved a sigh of relief. “She told me to deal with the matters here in peace. She also knows that I’m in a difficult situation. She advised me not to waver because of my personal feelings. He also said that if she comes to the Blood Sea to fight for the twelfth-grade Red Lotus under his master’s orders later, she will try her best to persuade her fellow disciples not to start a war.”
Wei Shenmo praised, “She’s really a fairy who knows the big picture. Why don’t you marry her sooner, Water God?”
“It’s still early.” Li Changshou hurriedly said, “Marshal, look at the letter from Chan School first. This is a letter from Senior Brother Chi Jingzi.”
“Let me take a look.” Wei Shenmo rolled up his sleeves and probed with his immortal senses to read it carefully.

“Water God, actually, I didn’t say anything. I was just asking if the matter regarding the red lotus is true.”
Li Changshou said, “The key is the last sentence.”
“Huh?” Wei Shenmo took a few more glances and savored it carefully.
“If this is true, Junior Brother Changgeng, please make a decision.”
“Chan School wants you to express your
stand.”
Wei Shenmo threw the jade token on the desk and held the side of the table with both hands. He said, “From the words of the letter, they are considered polite and respectful. They have given you enough respect, Water God.
However, there was another letter from Fairy Yun Xiao. We’ll just take it as the stand of Jie School.
When the two are compared, the distance between them will be established.”
Li Changshou smiled and asked, “Marshal, you seem to like Jie School more?”.
Wei Shenmo complained, “It’s all because of you!”
Then, the two of them looked at each other and smiled. They began to discuss strategies and how to write a reply to Chan School.
An hour later, Bai Ze maintained the posture of an auspicious beast and flew over from the sky. There was a burly man wearing a bull’s nose ring beside him. He was part of the “small team” that had gone to the sea of blood to complete the preliminary investigation.
Why did he not bring the Golden-Winged Roc along?
In fact, a few days ago, the Golden-Winged Roc took the initiative to call itself a junior. It wanted to carry Bai Ze and the green ox, the two “seniors”, to explore the sea of blood together.
However… he was too fast.
The Golden-Winged Roc’s speed was too terrifying. It was not affected at all in the sea of blood. However, that way, Bai Ze did not have time to sense if the danger was safe or not. The Golden-Winged Roc directly collided with it.
Moreover, if he flew too quickly, he would not be able to investigate carefully. It would not be worth it.
Hence, the Golden-Winged Roc could only wave with tears in its eyes. It bade farewell to the two outstanding experts in the Primordial Mount industry and took the initiative to patrol around the Heavenly Soldiers’ camp.
Not long after, Bai Ze, who maintained the posture of an auspicious beast, entered the main tent with the human-shaped Golden-Winged Roc and the green ox.
Li Changshou welcomed them and invited the green ox and the Golden-Winged Roc to take a seat. Bai Ze walked to the back of Li Changshou’s seat and lay down gracefully.
A Heavenly Soldiers general who did not deserve to have a mount said, “Did the two of you discover anything?”
The green ox shook his head. “It’s very chaotic everywhere. I’ve searched every corner. There’s no trace of the negative karma red lotus.”
Bai Ze pondered for a while and said, “Could it be that the Western Sect is deliberately disrupting our vision?”
“Ahem.” Li Changshou raised his hand and coughed. He smiled and said, “That should be true. At that time, the matter regarding the Netherworld Reincarnation Pagoda had just been resolved. Due to facing the pressure of the Saint and scheming too much, my mind could not hold on and I was very tired…”
“Water God!”
Wei Shen’s eyes were filled with shame. He stood up and cupped his hands. “It’s been hard on you for running around for all the living beings in the world!” Bai Ze turned his head and could not bear to look at it. The Golden-Winged Roc’s eyes were filled with admiration. The green ox nodded in approval.
Li Changshou indeed had a lot of experience in saving the people.
Li Changshou smiled bitterly and said, “Let’s talk about serious matters first. I’m not acting pitiful. That time, I fell asleep in a daze. My mind also relaxed. A wisp of Heavenly Dao power took advantage of the situation and condensed such a scene in my heart.”
Li Changshou opened his left hand, and faint clouds surged out of his palm. The scene that he had seen in his dream appeared.
Blood Lotus and the old Daoist priest. Wei Shenmo was puzzled. “At that time, why didn’t the Water God remove the blood lotus?”
“I’m worried that the Great Tribulation is deliberately luring me,” Li Changshou said seriously. “I’m busy forming the Immortal Alliance. I can’t leave. If I want to destroy this blood lotus, the Heavenly Dao will just send a Heavenly Punishment. Why do I have to take action?”
Wei Shen thought so too. He nodded and sighed. “The Water God is indeed unable to split himself up.”
Bai Ze said, “Can you ignore the instructions from the Heavenly Dao?”
Li Changshou sighed and said, “It’s been two times. The merit has not been paid. I’m really not as energetic as I used to be.”
Boom! Boom!
A muffled thunder sounded above his head. Li Changshou hurriedly corrected himself. “For the stability of the world and the health of living beings, so what if there’s no merit? Mr. Bai, don’t mention anything about merit anymore!”
Bai Ze’s goatee trembled. Then, he lowered his head and admitted it. His eyes were filled with resentment.
Wei Shenmo pulled the topic back to business and said worriedly, “Since we can’t find any traces of the red lotus, how should we deal with the current situation? Now, more and more Qi Refinement cultivators are rushing to the Blood Sea. There are constant conflicts with the Asura Clan. If we delay for a few more days, the situation will probably go out of control.”
Li Changshou said, “Marshal, don’t be anxious. Your thoughts have to be clear. Don’t panic. Firstly, we have to continue searching for the whereabouts of the red lotus. Later, we will meet Ksitigarbha and Truth Listener and see if the divine beast, which can only listen to the thoughts of the living beings in the Three Realms, can bring us some good news. Secondly, the Heavenly Courts have to send out a notice to protect the Netherworld. The Blood Sea can be chaotic, but the Netherworld is the land of reincarnation. It cannot be chaotic. Thirdly, we have to think of a way to pull Chan School and the immortals of Jie School together and talk about this matter and negotiate terms. Firstly, we have to ensure that the red lotus is controlled by the Heavenly Courts and the Dao Sect. If we want to destroy it, we have to leave it for discussion. There’s no time to lose. Marshal, let’s go to the Reincarnation Pagoda to find Truth Listener first.”
“I’ll go with you.” Wei Shenmo stood up. “The Reincarnation Pagoda is not far anyway.”
Li Changshou agreed readily. He turned around and… tilted his head in confusion.
Bai Ze, who had been maintaining his beast-like appearance, was currently taking elegant steps. His body was filled with colorful streaks of light, and the colorful feathers on his head flickered with seven-colored rays of light.
The ancient auspicious beasts sought luck and avoided calamity. The ten demon generals could be said to be the best mounts for paragons. If he were to sit on the back of this auspicious beast when he went out, what kind of mediocre person would he be? Every word he said was true.
What stood out was a row.
Li Changshou chuckled in his heart. Just as he was about to take a step forward, golden light flickered beside him. He saw the Golden-Winged Roc transform into a twenty-feet-long main body. A jade meditation cushion was formed behind it.
The son of the Primordial Phoenix lived at extreme speed. The Heavenly Courts’ Marshal was indeed the most suitable for a fast mount.
If he were to go out and sit on the Golden Roc’s back, he could cross tens of millions of kilometers in an instant. He could kill thousands of enemies while chatting and laughing
What stood out was extreme speed.
At that moment, the Golden-Winged Roc and Bai Ze looked at each other. The former’s eyes were filled with respect and vigor, while the latter’s eyes were filled with confidence…
Li Changshou was rendered speechless.
He really did not expect the scene of the “Asura Arena” to happen on his mount.
One was a walking book of knowledge, while the other was a general. What mount did he want? He had escape techniques.
How should I choose now?
He could not split it…
“Ahem.” Li Changshou pretended to cough, but a gentle cow’s cry suddenly sounded from the side.
Moo ~
The green ox, who had been maintaining his burly appearance, transformed into his main body and greeted Li Changshou, “Aren’t you going to experience the treatment that only the Saint can receive?”
Li Changshou chuckled and cupped his hands. He carefully jumped onto the back of the green ox and temporarily freed Li Changshou.
The golden light in front of them flickered and the light dissipated. Bai Ze and the Golden-Winged Roc returned to their human forms at the same time. They looked at each other and smiled. They made an inviting gesture.
This made Wei Shenmo, who was originally hesitating whether to choose left or right, rub his nose awkwardly.
He could only follow on a cloud.
In the Golden Light Cave of the Qianyuan Mountain in the Middle Continent.
Two white clouds flew over from the northwest direction. There were two old Daoists on them. One of them was Chi Jingzi, and the other was Daoist Huang Long.
After entering the mountain-protecting array formation and rushing to the Golden Light Cave, three figures came out of the cave.
Ling Zhuzi bowed and Perfected Yu Ding frowned slightly.
Perfected Taiyi, who was dressed in an eye-catching red robe, had a helpless smile on his lips. He seemed to have expected that Chi Jingzi would come. He sighed and said, “Senior Brother, you really came.”
Chi Jingzi said seriously, “Junior Brother, do you know what happened?” “It’s nothing more than a twelfth-grade Red Lotus.” Perfected Taiyi pursed his lips. “Let’s make this clear first. I’m not too familiar with Li Changgeng. Our relationship is not too good. Don’t let me go and persuade him.”
Chi Jingzi frowned slightly when he heard that. He said, “This matter concerns the fate of our Chan School and the stability of the world. We have to be careful.”
Perfected Yu Ding said, “We don’t lack treasures to suppress the destiny of the sect.”
Chi Jingzi continued, “However, according to Eldest Senior Brother’s intentions… Even if the entire Western Sect is destroyed, it will not be enough to fill the calamity.”
Huang Long sighed and said, “This matter is really troublesome.”
Perfected Taiyi said calmly, “We don’t lack treasures. Just watch. If we really fight with Jie School, it would be understandable for us to face each other, vie for control, and scold some vulgarities. However, to secretly cause trouble for Jie School… That’s a little… Tsk. Is Eldest Senior Brother also affected by Deputy Sect Master Randeng? Must we really fight to the death with Jie School?”
Chi Jingzi was silent. Perfected Huang Long wanted to explain. When he thought of the times when he and Zhao Gongming drank and played, he could only sigh softly.
Perfected Yu Ding said, “Don’t send Changgeng a message now. Otherwise, it will only make it difficult for him.”
“Why?” Chi Jingzi said, “When I came, I had already written a letter and sent it to the Netherworld with a jade token.”
“Then what are we fighting for?” Perfected Taiyi could not help but complain. “Those who can determine the winner have been pushed to Jie School.”
“This?” Chi Jingzi was puzzled.
“Ah.” Perfected Yu Ding sighed. “It seems that we can only go to the Netherworld.”
At the same time…
In the depths of the East Ocean, the Three-Immortal Island was wrapped in fog.

Statless
Summary Alexander Weiss, an intelligent and slightly unusual man, always dreamt of becoming a mage. Sadly, reality is harsh and even his best efforts never allowed him to achieve his goal during his lifetime... or did they? One has to be careful what they wish for, lest they might live to see it fulfilled. Description Follow Alex, a man whose pursuit of magic could not even be stopped by his non-magical reality, going as far as to create it himself, only to encounter an unsurmountable obstacle shortly before achieving his lifes goal, denying him all access to these powers. His journey will take him through a miraculous world, full of wonders, magic and manic beasts trying to devour him! He will learn much about this world during his adventures, exploring individual aspects of the System and the various monsters that came from it... or did they? Strong points What you'll get from this novel is the following (read with overly enthusiastic salesman-voice) : • An ending! I'll complete it, no matter what. Well, not "no matter what", but as long as I don't unexpectedly end, this novel won't either! • Good grammar! Might not be perfect, but it's definitely good enough to not detract from the story in the slightest. I'll also fix any reported mistakes as soon as possible, be they grammatical, syntactical or just inconsistencies. • No plot-armor! Or plot-weapons! Or plot-... potions? And no plot-holes! If you see some, it's most likely information that is being witheld for future revelations! But in the (hopefully) very unlikely case of such a vile beast being encountered, please inform me immediately and I'll see to slaying it without grace! (Translation: If you see plot-holes, tell me and I'll fix them) • Logic! [Hidden : Spoilers][Hidden : More Spoilers] [Moved to Chapter [Hidden Spoiler]'s Author's Note] Marvelous, I know! • Blue Boxes! And maybe something more! • Sensible retroactive edits! Not to be confused with radioactive edits! You'll not have to re-read previous chapters, even if they get some major edits. If they were to receive new information, I'll add that very information to the newly released chapters too, in a reasonable way. • Realism! Shocking, I know! Especially considering the tag related to that and the point about "Logic!". This also means that the story will be... well, realistically depicting a pretty messed up world. Don't expect bunnies... at least not cute ones. • Relatively faster paced! No long and boring descriptions of irrelevant stuff. There will be some longer descriptions about important things, but that's gonna be necessary world- and/or character-building! • Short action! Might not be a plus for some, but you won't have to look at a whole (or, god forbit, multiple) chapter describing a fight against the same enemy... • Strategy and hard progression! It's a dog-eat-dog world! No grinding/power-creep! If you're up against three enemies of your level at once, you've already lost! • Understanding! It will be mostly about discovering the wonders of this new world and how it became like that, all while trying to survive. So there will be enough action nonetheless! • Humor! Sometimes dark, sometimes light, always at the worst moment! • Constructive critics, welcome! Destructive critics, nope... I can handle criticism though, so don't go easy on me! Just make sure it's really a mistake when complaining about something. • Will add more in the future! If I can think of more stuff...

Chronicles of Xod (returning from hiatus)
After a long recovery over a chronic motion sickness issue, I feel I'm ready to return to writing this book. It might be slow at first, but I'm hoping to pick up where I left off. I apologize again for the long hiatus. The pages following are a true account. An account of how I, Josh--a teenage nerd from modern suburbia--ended up in a strange world filled with fantastic magic, bizarre creatures, and terrifying dungeons. Despite the troped-up fantasy feel of the world, this is hardly an ordinary tale. For one, don’t expect a happy ending. With the trials I’ve been through, the horrors I’ve seen and the atrocities I’ve committed, believe me when I tell you, this is not a happy tale filled with friendly rainbow bears or teenage flying unicorns. It’s more likely you’ll finish this book mentally scarred as I will not spare the details of my unfortunate adventures. With the help of my trusted companion Gui, I gain an insight that no one else in the world has. This knowledge allows me to exploit and, for lack of a better term, metagame the system which gave me a clear advantage over its residents. “With great power...,” someone might begin to quote to me. In my defense, I think maybe even you, reader, might have acted similarly with how this reality changed my view of good and evil. This story will be updated regularly on Wednesdays around 6 PM. There will only be about 1000 words per update. The focus is to finish the story before doing any major changes or editing. Please read as if this is a work in progress, not a finished product. Feel free to let me know if you see any error, whether glaring or minor. If you help me out, I'll be sure to add you to a thank you list at the front of the book when it is published. Chronicles of Xod is a first-person fantasy novel that follows the adventures of a young man from Earth. Through unknown circumstances, he finds himself in a fantasy world where life is not all wonders and happy endings. The story takes common fantasy concepts from my favorite video games, books and movies and gives them an adult edge. It also introduces some taboo concepts often glossed over by stories written for broad audiences. The style is meant to be immersive and heavily detailed. The short novel will be written in a way that attempts to bring a sense of realism to an unrealistic genre. Where there are realistic consequences and dangers in a world populated with violent monsters, cruel demons, bloodthirsty undead, and immoral bandits. In this fantasy world, the inhabitants are essentially gender blind as far as sexuality is concerned. There is also more variation amongst male and female physiology. This isn't meant to be any kind of promotion or demotion of social behavior in reality. Just a concept I thought would be an interesting idea to have in a fantasy setting. I highly discourage anyone from reading this material if you are personally concerned with being offended or traumatized. Both violent and sexual content will be graphically detailed. All characters involved in sexual scenes are mature and of the age of consent(18+).
