My Senior Brother Is Too Steady Chapter 730

Chapter 730: Meeting Duobao First, Then The Grand Supreme Elder
Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
“Junior Brother, take care. I’m going everywhere.”
“Yes, take care.”
Ksitigarbha smiled implicitly and watched the Void Bodhi float away.
For some reason, Ksitigarbha suddenly felt that the fellow disciple who had schemed against him a few times was not that detestable.
It should be because the other party’s Dao realm had increased. It was closer to the essence of “emptiness”, which made him feel less estranged.
Ksitigarbha muttered to himself.
“If everything is empty, wouldn’t the world be an illusion? This Dao is the most ethereal. It is just an illusion in the hearts of living beings. The emptiness is an illusion, the Dao is an illusion, and the spirit is between the Dao and the truth. Why do you have to jump out of the tangible world and find empty space? There’s a solution to everything. All Dharma had signs of life and death. All tribulations were just born from the heart. Instead of searching for emptiness in the world, it’s better to search for that True Intent in your heart. The Great Dao that this Senior Brother is searching for is ultimately a dream.”
Truth Listener chuckled. “Master, are you jealous that this fellow’s Dao realm has increased?”
Ksitigarbha was speechless. He snorted and said, “Dao is not for comparison, and Dharma is not for comparison. There are not many living beings in this world. I’m only willing to do more for living beings. That’s considered…”
Let’s spread that fellow’s will.
“Ah, the Western Sect is starting to prosper.” Truth Listener yawned lazily. “No one can restrict it now.”
“No, the Heavenly Courts is there. No one can surpass the Heavenly Courts now.”
Ksitigarbha smiled and sat back beside Truth Listener. He leaned against Truth Listener comfortably and grabbed a Dao sutra. He read it carefully and muttered, “However, I will eventually feel a little lonely.”
Truth Listener chuckled and turned to look in the direction where the Void Bodhi had left. Its six ears subconsciously swayed.
Almost instantly, its fur stood on end, and its eyes were filled with shock.
Ksitigarbha was puzzled. “What’s wrong?”
“Is the Grand Dao of Space-Breaking that powerful? It’s really impressive.”
Truth Listener bit its tongue and whispered, “He’s really a powerful figure.”
After saying that, he hurriedly retracted his gaze. His six small ears instantly turned into two dog ears and he lay there as if he had fallen asleep.
“Truth Listener, stay by your master’s side in the future. If you hear anything that you shouldn’t hear at some point in the future…”
Gulp.
Truth Listener swallowed its saliva and silently looked down at the floor in front of it.
When the Dao Ancestor modified the memories of all living beings previously, why did Master use the power of the Heavenly Dao to protect him!?!
I don’t know anything, nor did I hear anything.
There is nothing wrong with the Void Bodhi! There was definitely no trauma in my heart!
Ah…
Truth Listener glanced at its master and thought, ‘Did my master really lose that year?’ It fell into deep thought.
It was strange and strong.
The Void Bodhi, which was gradually distancing itself, turned its head slightly and glanced. A smile flashed across its lips. It rode a cloud around Fengdu City and headed west.
There were still familiar faces at the eastern mountain pass. It was best not to meet them this time.
After all, the two of them could not remember him. They would be lonely if they went and would be mocked by others.

There were not many symbols of the Magi in the Netherworld now.
The Six Paths of Reincarnation Disc circulated smoothly. Most of the living beings in the world were closely related to the Netherworld, but the power of the Heavenly Dao in that place was not considered rich.
Li Changshou rode a cloud and left. He did not do anything else. He only left two mysterious auras downstream of the Three Roads River.
Like two invisible nails, they were nailed into the Dao of Reincarnation and the Dao of the dead souls that were the easiest to find.
Before the Heavenly Dao could sense it, he had already arrived at the edge of the Heavenly Pillar and flew towards the edge of the West Ocean.
Everything seemed to have happened, but it did change something.
After leaving the five continents, Li Changshou could sense that the monitoring power in the world had clearly weakened by a few levels.
Li Changshou was naturally not surprised. That was the disadvantage of the Dao Ancestor’s Dao Integration.
When the Heavenly Dao had selfish desires, it would inevitably produce “differential treatment”. The Heavenly Dao would tilt its “resources” towards the five continents, and its attention towards the trichiliocosm would naturally decrease.
This limited the Heavenly Dao to a certain extent.
Li Changshou was not careless. He continued to maintain the various habits of the Void Bodhi and did not reveal any flaws. He began to pursue the path of “loneliness”.
In fact, he was searching for the place where the Dao laws gathered and embedding mysterious auras.
That was actually the implementation of the anti-Heaven plan.
Although the “Three Thousand Great Dao” that constituted the Heavenly Dao was omnipresent and invisible, and could be understood as the natural laws of the Primordial World, it was easier to find specific Great Dao traces in some special areas.
For example, in the Netherworld just now, traces of the Great Dao of Reincarnation and the Great Dao of the Undead could be seen everywhere.
The more relaxed and effortless he was, the less likely the Heavenly Dao would be able to detect him.
If he wanted to comprehend the Void Bodhi’s Great Dao of Space Dispelling to the deepest realm, he had to comprehend the ultimate path of the world and explore the mysteries of the world. This became the perfect cover for him to do that.
Therefore, compared to the identity of Patriarch Bodhi, the Void Dispelling Great Dao was the most important “tool”.
Along the way to the west, Li Changshou first entered the mortal world and lived in the Chiliocosm where immortals and mortals lived for a few years. He found a few places where the Great Dao appeared. After facing some difficulties, he began to browse the nearby Minor Chiliocosm.
He walked and stopped, gaining insights from time to time. Not only was his Dao realm slowly improving, but his bearing also gradually changed.
Inevitably, he attracted the attention of the Heavenly Dao.
There was no choice. The Void Bodhi was a disciple of the Saint. Moreover, it was one of the top disciples of the Western Sect. If the Dao Realm advanced by two major realms, it would not be far from the original Maitreya.
At that moment, Li Changshou made a move.
He did not pretend that he did not notice the attention of the Heavenly Dao. He appeared a little cautious and nervous. He stopped searching for the empty path and deliberately recited the words “Follow the sky and do what is true”.
Li Changshou did not leave any details out.

Even so, the Heavenly Dao still silently observed the Void Bodhi for a long time.
In fact, when Li Changshou was comprehending the Dao, there was even a wisp of mysterious Dao runes that probed his Dao heart.
Li Changshou frowned slightly and acted as if he had discovered the prying of the Heavenly Dao but was calmly facing the prying of the Heavenly Dao. He also kept a secret place in the corner of his Dao heart.
This situation lasted for several years.
In the bamboo forest of the Purple Cloud Palace, the burly old Daoist priest finally retracted his gaze. He also retracted the wisps of Heavenly Dao power.
Before Li Changshou could heave a sigh of relief, he heard a call.
“Three hundred years later, look for me in the Flowerfruit Mountain of the East Continent.”
The Void Bodhi trembled and immediately knelt down. He whispered, “Yes, Master.”
In the bamboo forest, the burly old Daoist priest revealed a knowing smile. He gently tapped his fingers and many insights appeared in the Void Bodhi’s Dao heart. They were all related to the Grand Dao of Space Dispelling.
Li Changshou was naturally not unfamiliar with that feeling.
It was just the benefit of being a tool of the Heavenly Dao.
After kneeling for a while, the Void Bodhi stood up. He first smiled and quickly retracted his smile. He bowed to the sky and left the Chiliocosm.
Three hundred years later? Flowerfruit Mountain?
He should be asking him to enlighten the stone monkey and make a mark so that it would be easier for him to take in disciples in the future.
The Little Tribulation of Journey to the West was finally coming. The Dao Ancestor’s next plan had begun.
What is the Dao Ancestor’s small goal?
Li Changshou naturally knew that his main goal was to spread the teachings of the Buddhists in the world. That goal was to kill the power of the heavens and earth and the last flames of the demons.
The stone monkey’s feet were very special. Like Ling Zhuzi, it was between Connate lifeforms and Postnatal lifeforms. Its position was a little blurry.
The Heaven Mending Stone was originally a heavenly treasure. However, after the Heavenly Dao controlled the world, it lacked the characteristics of Connate lifeforms that exceeded the limits of the world.
The Dao Ancestor’s idea was to arrange for the stone monkey to become a demon and gather the demon kings who did not accept the Heavenly Dao. He would use the battle between the Flowerfruit Mountain and the Heavenly Courts to exhaust the power of the demons.
Li Changshou did not feel anything.
The demons and the human race were mortal enemies. The Dao Ancestor was also the enemy of living beings.
In comparison, Li Changshou was more worried because the Dao Ancestor had erased the traces of his existence. Would the Heavenly Courts still have the art of immortal beans? Would a large number of Heavenly Soldiers and Heavenly Generals die in the small calamity later?
He hoped that there was still the military strategy of immortal beans. After all, it was beneficial to the Heavenly Courts.
Ao Yi, the Golden Roc, Long Ji, Bian Zhuang… the Jade Emperor…
Li Changshou sighed softly and pondered for a while in his main body’s Dao heart. He continued to return to the Primordial World and began his 300-year journey.
Time was an interesting concept.
In the eyes of mortals, time was their short and long life.
In the eyes of ordinary Qi Refinement cultivators, time was driving them to cultivate and climb up the steps of the Longevity realm.
In the eyes of some ancient Longevity Immortals, time had changed.
Time was like a long river that carried the past, present, and future. Everyone was born and floated in it. When they looked at the two shores, they would see different scenery.
The Longevity Immortal jumped out of the river and stood on the riverbank.
When the river water flowed quietly, it did not have much meaning for longevity immortals. They would only have more “usual” memories and more understanding of the Dao.
Of course, most of the time, this understanding would be stuck at a bottleneck, which meant that there would be no changes.
When the river water caused waves, which meant that some things had happened, some “exciting” memories would appear. Only then would it be meaningful for longevity immortals.
Li Changshou suddenly felt enlightened. He suppressed those insights and let his main body slowly digest them.
Enlightenment was also a troublesome matter. He could not advance too quickly in the Void Bodhi Dao Realm, or else the Dao Ancestor would be suspicious.
300 years of bottleneck?
Good.
After breaking through the current realm later, he would be stuck at the 300-year bottleneck. That would explain why he was wandering around the trichiliocosm.
The Great Dao appeared, the Illusionary Spirit Spikes.
Although he could choose to throw down the Three Thousand Illusionary Spirit Spikes in one go during the battle with the Dao Ancestor, that would not be as safe as making preparations in advance.
He was about to become a “general”.
Hence, decades later.
…
At the edge of the world, there was a vast world where there were some people, desolate beasts, and spiritual beasts.
“Master, is that really Void Bodhi?”
“Is this fellow stuck at a bottleneck? The Dao Realm is not bad. It’s only three steps away from where I was hundreds of years ago.”
In the void cave, two pairs of eyes were watching the figure sitting cross-legged in the forest in the distance as they muttered via voice transmission.
The cave looked like a Cave Abode. There were all kinds of furniture and meditation cushions. Numinous treasures emitted dense light, making the place look like a storeroom.
The hole was hung in the world and was separated from the world. There was only one Daoist in the Primordial World who could do that.
The Eldest Senior Brother of Jie School, the excavator of the Earth Cave, the Void Walk Treasure-seeking Rat—Daoist Duobao.
Ever since the battle outside Chaoge City, Duobao had shouted the slogan of going against the heavens in a fit of anger. Following that, the Heavenly Punishment had been summoned. The huge Jie School had already died, been driven away, and escaped.
It was impossible for him to not regret it.
After all, if he had not shouted that sentence, the Heavenly Dao would not have had any reason to send down the Heavenly Punishment.
However, there was no medicine for regret in the Primordial World.
If he could do it again and if he were to see his master being plotted against by the Dao Ancestor to such a tragic state, he would have to stand up and reason with the Dao Ancestor as the eldest disciple and Eldest Senior Brother.
He could not defeat him. He was not Changgeng.
Fortunately, half of his master’s personal disciples had left with Changgeng. A small half had gone to the Heavenly Courts. Although they had suffered heavy losses, they were not completely gone.
Ah, the Heavenly Dao wanted to destroy Jie School from the beginning.
“Master,” the Goddess of Fire Spirit said softly and made a gesture of cutting her throat.
Duobao thought carefully and shook his head slightly.
“There’s no need. This fellow is only a disciple of the Western Sect. Why should I kill him? It’s not easy for me to create the most hidden residence here and avoid the Heavenly Dao’s detection. It’s not worth it if I’m exposed.”
“Master, don’t you think about it!”
The Goddess of Fire Spirit sent a voice transmission. “The Western Sect is about to prosper. This Void Bodhi Dao Realm has improved so much compared to before. The Heavenly Dao must have given him benefits to increase his Dao Realm. What does that mean?”
Daoist Duobao patted his round stomach and his eyes lit up. “Is he a pawn of the Heavenly Dao?”
“Most likely! Otherwise, how could there be such a Dao Realm?”
The Goddess of Fire Spirit gritted her teeth and cursed, “The Dao Ancestor controlled the Heavenly Dao and destroyed Jie School. He even modified the memories of all living beings. He’s really too much! If you had not helped me block the blue ripples, I might have felt that there was something wrong with Jie School that made the Heavenly Dao target us. Hmph, since we are exiled by the Heavenly Dao, we should attack when we should. We should cause trouble for the Dao Ancestor. It can be considered as helping the disciples who have died in the Heavenly Punishment and the trapped spiritual mountain vent their anger!”
“This…”
Daoist Duobao was clearly a little hesitant. Soon, he nodded slowly. “It’s not a big deal to kill a Void Bodhi.”
“Master, have you agreed?”
“I’ll allow it! Take it out and run after killing him!”
Duobao gritted his teeth and cursed. With a wave of his hand, the treasures in the cave flew into his sleeve.
Then, the master and disciple muttered for a while and confirmed the method of attacking the Void Bodhi.
It was probably because he had drilled a hole in the universe and aimed at the weakness of the Void Bodhi’s Dao Body. He launched a sneak attack from below, hoping to instantly injure the Void Bodhi!
At that moment, the master and disciple began to get busy. Daoist Duobao chuckled and dug the Void Earth Cave towards the Void Bodhi.
“Yes?”
The universe rippled…
Li Changshou keenly captured the changes in the universe. He followed the source of the fine patterns and released a wisp of immortal senses. The corners of his mouth could not help but twitch.
What?
Wouldn’t it appear that my senses are too sharp if I escaped directly? Why is Senior Brother Duobao hiding here? Otherwise, I would deliberately be injured by Senior Brother Duobao.
However, if Senior Brother Duobao were to “activate” the Numinous Treasure Spirit Awakening Array, wouldn’t my precious fake body be instantly destroyed?
In short, it was a headache.
Forget it, I’ll escape…
Moo…
A cow’s cry suddenly sounded from the sky. An old Daoist priest sat on the familiar green ox’s back and slowly walked over.
It was the Grand Supreme Elder!

Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
