Shinobi Exam: First Question, Why Was Akatsuki Destroyed? Chapter 19
Advertisement
"It seems that the leader is the correct answer to this question."
Uchiha Itachi was worried. He thought Jiraiya would investigate Amegakure in the future, was found by the leader, and a battle broke out.
Jiraiya was defeated and killed by the leader.
Sure enough, the leader's strength was better than that of Jiraiya-sama.
Nagato looked at Jiraiya, his eyes slightly twitched.
'It turns out that my future self also shouldered his life?'
His shoulders were getting heavier and heavier.
"Space, this question, I choose C: Uzumaki Nagato."
[Correct answer. Do you want to see the analysis?]
"Yes!"
[Option A: Namikaze Minato, is Jiraiya's fourth student. He died in the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's Attack incident after the Third Shinobi World War. Although he was 'resurrected' in the Fourth Shinobi World War, there's no interaction with Jiraiya. So, this option is incorrect.]
[Option B: Uzumaki Naruto, Jiraiya's fifth student and a child selected by Jiraya personally. He got along well with Jiraiya during Konoha's Chūnin exam. So, this option is incorrect.]
[Option D: Uchiha Obito, started the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's Attack and caused his sensei, Namikaze Minato to die, but he hasn't interacted with Jiraiya. So, this option is incorrect.]
[Therefore, C is the correct answer to this question.]
[After the end of the Second Shinobi World War, the Sannin met three orphans on their way back from Amegakure. Jiraiya gave up going back to the village and stayed on his own to teach the three children. Therefore, he lost the best opportunity to pursue Senju Tsunade.
After the teachings were completed, Jiraiya didn't take the three children back to Konoha to protect them but chose to leave them on their own.
Many years later, Jiraiya left Konohagakure without saying goodbye, having accepted the Fifth Hokage, Tsunade's hint of confession, and went to Amegakure to investigate Akatsuki.

After being exposed during his investigation in Amegakure and knowing that the leader of Akatsuki was Uzumaki Nagato, Jiraiya, who had activated his sage mode to obtain information about Rinnegan, chose to die in battle.
Before he died, he imprinted the information on a toad's back and passed it on.]
Looking at the analysis above, Orochimaru's eyes flashed a little understanding.
'Resurrection of the dead!'
'Kabuto!'
With such clear words, thinking about some of his recent experiments and what he was going to hand over to Kabuto, it became clear to Orochimaru.
It seemed that although the exam space wouldn't reveal his relationship with the Fourth Shinobi World War, it was obvious that he was most likely an integral part of the Fourth Shinobi World War.
'It's just that... I don't know what role I'm playing in it!'
Orochimaru stared gloomily at the name Namikaze Minato. Even if others weren't aware, how could he not be aware of where the soul of the Fourth Hokage was?
Without digging his soul out of the Shinigami's belly, he didn't have the conditions to be 'resurrected'.
In that case, some of his own suspicions were also true.
'God can be deceived!'
Orochimaru's eyes narrowed comfortably. He gained a lot from this trip into this strange space.
Although there was no improvement in his actual strength, he could confirm some of his hypotheses, which greatly saved the time for him to do his own experiments.
...
"Namikaze Minato... Resurrected!?"
The Fourth Raikage, Ay, looked at the word resurrection that had quotation marks. His eyes rounded up, full of disbelief.
He didn't understand how a dead guy could come back to life.
Still trying to stop the living!
The Fourth Raikage felt a headache coming. He was a shinobi who understood Namikaze Minato's speed first hand and was responsible for issuing that rule about facing the guy at that time.

That's the guy that he could only look up to.
'He was so fast it was crazy!'
The Fourth Raikage scratched his head. He wanted to know what happened in the Fourth Shinobi World War and why even the dead would join the party.
'Speaking of ...'
'They would resurrect the whole group of Konoha's Kages, right?'
A bad feeling flashed through the Fourth Raikage's heart.
...
"Shit! It's you again! It's fucking you again!"
In Iwagakure, Ōnoki burst out cursing.
He couldn't help it, really couldn't help it!
How could he not be angry? He had just thought that living old guy in Konoha didn't have anyone to fight in the Fourth Shinobi World War now. As a result, a dead one popped out.
Now, Ōnoki felt like he had broken a tooth and swallowed it in his stomach. He had to admit that if it were that guy, not to mention the Fourth Shinobi World War, he would be a tough opponent to beat even if there were two more wars.
This was unacceptable to Ōnoki. If the real answer was like this, it was better to let that Konoha guy named Uzumaki Naruto grow up quickly.
'What the heck is this!'
Ōnoki sighed. Compared with the news that the Fourth Hokage would be resurrected, the hint of Senju Tsunade of the Sannin becoming the Fifth Hokage didn't make any waves.
After all, even if the old man Sarutobi Hiruzen liked power, he would still release his power one day. Between the defected Orochimaru and the unruly Jiraiya, Senju Tsunade, born in a noble family, was simply the best choice to become the Fifth Hokage.
Thinking of the gap between him and Sarutobi Hiruzen, Ōnoki shook his head.
The old guy had a group of people who could take over the Kage position, and they were doing everything possible to get to the top. While Ōnoki himself, who wanted to abdicate, didn't even have a successor.
It's true what they say: Too much and too little is equally as bad!
...
"Jiraiya-sama is going to die?!"
"Are you guys ready to eat your shorts?"
Back in Konoha village, the atmosphere of the crowd chatting was again interrupted, and the angry eyes looked at the owner of the voice.
There was a small fat boy who was eating a pile of high-calorie food in his hand. Beside him, a young and pretty girl with a long ponytail was patting her forehead, trying to look like she didn't know him.
"Shouldn't the focus of your attention be on that Uchiha Obito who started the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's Attack?"
Chōji's eyes looked righteous. He was only one year old during the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's Attack. But later, he heard from his father, who was the head of the clan, that many people from the Akimichi clan died then.
Because of their Secret Technique, when the Kyūbi attacked Konoha, they were the first to bear the brunt.
His uncle, his second uncle, and his eldest uncle died that night.
His father had also told him that because the Kyūbi was controlled by Sharingan, none of the other clans meddled on the night of Uchiha's destruction, although they were all preparing for battle in their own clans.
His father had heard the wailing all night long.
Chōji Akimichi looked at that name, and hatred flashed in his eyes.
He was just fat, not stupid!
There were some things that he couldn't say, but he knew.

Old Riding Author Lunatic Asylum
Just off the A19, in the dark, incomprehensible lands known as Yorkshire, there lies a town. A town where shadow-silent alleys glint with the secret hunger of knives. Where blood soaks the chipboard window shutters of forsaken terraces stretching off into the night. Where the smog-choked air rattles with the depraved laughter echoing out from clubs that can only generously be described as post-apocalyptic. Well, that’s Middlesbrough. But down the A19 a bit (an impossibly long way down, actually) there lies another town: Raughnen, in the ancient, forgotten Old Riding. It is an equal match in muggery and thuggery alike. It also has magic spells and pointy wizard hats. And now, across the miles and across all sensibilities, a pretty nasty power (a magic one) calls out for its pretty nasty counterpart (a decidedly unmagic one): a proper sound Boro lad. Nothing good can come of it. This is a collection of one novella and four connected short stories: I. A Yorkshire Summoning II. Old Riding Day Trip (the novella) III. Heaven is a Parmo IV. Death on the 66 V. Death on the 257 In total, this comprises 34 chapters totalling around 35,000 words, so try not to worry. It will be over relatively quickly. There are three more short stories with more tenuous links to the core collection: Rush, Paper Round and Scenario 79: Sausage Fingers, all of which can be found in my collection Short Records of Misadventure. Reading these may allow you to make more sense of certain parts of the story, if any sense is to be made at all. NOTE: There are instances of prejudice and discrimination within these stories, including elements of sexism and ageism, which are purely the thoughts and actions of the characters involved and which certainly do not reflect my own views on these matters. ANOTHER NOTE; A WARNING, PERHAPS: This can get a bit weird. In less than 150 pages, we have four viewpoints, first and third person narratives, and a completely disjointed plot with lots of gaps, dead ends and no real resolution. Also ZERO lunatic asylums. It's all a bit odd. If that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea, which it most likely isn't, it might be best to move on now.
