"I will be there in a minute. What of the military?" Liu Longwei asked.

AD received a notification from his wristband, so he smiled as he replied, "They just arrived there."

At the abduction scene two minutes ago....

When the ring leader didn't see any movements from them, he got very furious and commanded one of his underling's to bring out the bombs and place them on each of the cars.

But before that, he shot at the windscreen of the first car, but as he thought, the car was bullet-proofed.

That gunshot scared the shit out of Chen Lihua. She became so scared that she started to shiver. She almost told K2 to let her out of the car since she was the one they wanted. But remembering Liu Longwei's instructions, she decided to stay put.

As the three underlings held the bombs and took a few steps towards them, they suddenly halted in their steps. And that was because everybody at the scene could hear a sound coming from afar, but no one knew the source.

Chen Lihua and the bodyguards could hear the sound too. Although they couldn't see anything, they still knew it was good news.

"K2, I need you to help Mistress out of the vehicle immediately when I ask you to. Do you copy?" AD said.

"Yes, Boss," K2 replied and felt relieved that the communication was back.

"Ma'am, please, I need you to take off your seat belt now," K2 said to Chen Lihua.

Chen Lihua listened to him and took off the seat belt.

By now, the sounds were getting very close. So K2 looked out through the window and saw a helicopter from the military.

He turned to Chen Lihua and said, "Ma'am, help is here."

Chen Lihua felt relieved as she looked out through the window.

The bodyguards could only see one helicopter, but what the assassins saw was different. They saw three military helicopters coming from three different directions. And it was now that it dawned on them where the sound was coming from.

The sound they heard was 'the blade slap,' and it is the sound that comes from a helicopter during its approach.

The ring leader and their crew immediately stayed in a defensive position with their guns pointed in the direction of the helicopters.

"This is the military! You are all surrounded! Drop your weapons where we can see them, and put your hands in the air!" a male voice sounded through a megaphone. It was loud and clear.

The ring leader was devastated because he didn't see this coming at all. He looked around him and didn't know what to do, for he was reluctant to obey the soldier's command.

In the next few seconds, the three military helicopters landed, and the soldiers rushed down and walked forward with their guns pointing at the enemy.

"I said, drop your weapons where we can see them, and put your hands in the air. If you try anything, then we will blow off your heads!" the same voice spoke; this time around, it was harsher.

The ring leader looked around and saw no hope for escape, so he put his gun down slowly before putting his hands up.

When his underlings saw him surrender, they knew there was no hope left for them, so they obeyed the soldier's command.

As for the two assassins on the power bikes, they tried to escape with their bikes but were shot on their legs, immediately they made a move.

"Move away from your guns now!" the strong military voice commanded.

Seeing their mates being shot, the rest of the assassins became submissive. They did exactly as they were told.

Immediately, the soldiers surrounded them and cuffed their hands.

As the soldiers had already rounded them up, Liu Longwei's bodyguards were now free to come out from the car.

At this moment, a yellow sports car arrived. When it got to the centre between the assassins' cars and the bodyguards' cars, it did a sharp turn before reversing and stopping beside the Rolls Royce.

"Ma'am, Boss is here," K2 said to Chen Lihua as he opened the car door for her before guiding her to the yellow sports car.

Liu Longwei came down from the car, and immediately his eyes met with Chen Lihua's. And as he walked to her, he could see the visible fear in her eyes.

Chen Lihua stood at a spot as she watched her husband approach her with a look of worry.

She couldn't tell the kind of emotions that she was feeling right now.

When Liu Longwei came to stand in front of her, he stared at her, deeply. He was now able to see the emotions in her eyes clearly.

He could see fear, which he knew was caused by the experience she got there and relief that he was here.

Liu Longwei felt guilty that his wife went through this type of terrible situation she has never been in since she was born.

Liu Longwei wrapped his hands at her back as he enveloped her in a hug. As he hugged her, he rubbed her back in the process in other to calm her down.

Both of them didn't say anything to each other. They just enjoyed each other's warmth.

Chen Lihua could feel her eyes starting to become teary. As she hugged Liu Longwei, tears began rolling down her cheeks, and she was doing everything possible not to let her whimpers out. But Liu Longwei still heard her.

"Sweetheart, it's okay, don't cry. Everything is settled," Liu Longwei said to her in consolation.

His words seemed to make Chen Lihua's whimper increase.

Chen Lihua was very emotional right now. What she experienced tonight was terrible. The gunshots and the threats, and also the thing about being in a life-threatening situation, it was really too much for her to handle.

"Baby, don't cry, I'm here. I will bring the culprit behind this to justice. I'm so sorry you had to go through all these," Liu Longwei said with guilt in his tone as he continued to rub her back.

As for the bodyguards, they surrounded Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei in a circular form, but there was quite some distance.

The soldier in charge of the mission was waiting at the side because he needed to speak with Liu Longwei.

But seeing how occupied he was, he had to wait on the side. After all, an order personally came from the president for them to take care of the situation.
