"Did I fall from the sky? Did I ask you to bring everything you saw to our dining table?" Chen Lihua asked as she continued to glance at every food on the dining table.

"Stop complaining and pick whatever you like." Liu Longwei said to her as he moved the sweet food to her view.

The servants by the side, who learned that their Mistress rejected the sweet milk pudding that was prepared for her, glanced at each other before bowing their heads.

They had no right to talk!

Chen Lihua glanced at the cake, chocolates, sweets, donuts, ice-cream, etc that was land in front of her in disdain.

"Darling, I don't want to eat this. Get the servants to take it away from my sight." Chen Lihua said to him as she covered her nose with her hand.

Liu Longwei was stunned doe a while, but then he waved his hands, and the servants moved the sweet food away.

Liu Longwei wanted to ask 'I thought you liked eating cakes and Ice Cream, what's going on now?' But he held the question in.

Now was not the to ask questions. He would take it that the pregnancy hormones, were at work.

The most important thing was getting her to eat.

His worries were settled when he saw his wife picking some spicy food from the table.

She was enjoying it.

She picked up a piece of pork meat with her fork and took a bite from it.

The taste was heaven in her mouth, so she put the remaining piece in her mouth without swallowing the other piece in her mouth.

With this method, she tasted all the spicy food on the table before pointing out the ones she wasn't interested in.

Liu Longwei asked the servants to send those dishes, away.

"Do you like meat so much?." Liu Longwei asked as he couldn't hold back after watching her eat the pork meat, the cow meat, and then the chicken.

"Yes, and they are not greasy, that is the important aspect of it. Here, you can have a taste." Chen Lihua said as she picked a piece of fried spicy chicken with her fork, before gesturing to him to open his mouth.

Liu Longwei obediently opened his mouth, and Chen Lihua sent the piece of meat into his mouth.

"It is hot!." Liu Longwei said with furrowed brows.

He was tempted to throw up the meat, but Chen Lihua was staring at him with hawk eyes, so he couldn't do it.

"What do you mean by hot? It's not hot at all, it's cool. You don't even need to blow air on it." Chen Lihua said to him as she continued eating.

"Not that kind of hot. The meat is spicy, there is a lot of pepper in it." Liu Longwei explained after he swallowed the meat without eating it.

Next, he proceeded to finish a glass of water, before he could rest assured.

"It's spicy, just the way I like it. Stop exaggerating, it's not like the hotness is unbearable." Chen Lihua said to him.

"Since when did you start to eat spicy food? What you liked was something sweet, but not a lot of sweet." Liu Longwei questioned, but he already had an idea of the reason.

"I guess that's what the baby wants." Chen Lihua replied to him as she took some sips of water from her glass cup.

After Chen Lihua has had her fill, she retired to their bedroom in satisfaction.

Chen Lihua continued with her work in the bedroom, while Liu Longwei went back to his study to work.

Around 11 PM when Liu Longwei came to their bedroom, he saw his wife sitting on the bed and lost in thought.

"What are you thinking about?." He asked as he turned on the bedside lamp, before switching off the main lights with the remote.

"I'm thinking about what happened today." Chen Lihua replied with a frown on her face.

"So many things happened today, what exactly are you talking about?." Liu Longwei asked as a smirk appeared on his face.

"I'm talking about our encounter at the drug store this morning." Chen Lihua explained further as she turned to glance at him.

Liu Longwei glance at her as well, before sitting up on the bed.

"I didn't know you would still be worried about it." Liu Longwei said as he brought her into his arms.

"Of course I have to be worried about it. That scene said a lot, so I want to know the truth." Chen Lihua demanded.

"Okay, I will tell you the truth." Liu Longwei promised as he began to recount how he first found out that his father was cheating on his mother.

He talked about the deal he made with his father and the promise he made. This talk led to what happened today.

"Father broke the promise he made to mother?." Chen Lihua inquired.

"Yes. And after that, he ran away because of my wrath." Liu Longwei replied.

"Does the mother have an idea about this?." Chen Lihua asked in concern.

"No. It will break her if she finds about all this mess." Liu Longwei replied as he caressed her arms with his other hand.

"So what are going to do about father?." Chen Lihua asked because she was sure that she wouldn't leave his father after he broke his promise and hurt their mother (although she is unaware of the matter).

So, she wanted to know his plans.

"Since he chose to go into hiding, I will have him locked up there for six months. His movements will be restricted." Liu Longwei said in reply.

"Do you have that power to keep your father locked up for such a long time?." Chen Lihua asked after much thought.

"Yes, and that is why he is afraid of me." Liu Longwei said as he brought her palm to his lips and kissed it.

Chen Lihua leaned in closer to him. "What about mother? What will you tell her if she doesn't see father for such a long time?."

"Father will settle it. I didn't restrict his communication. Don't worry, he should be the one worried that mum will find out about his faithfulness. And in other to assure her, he would call her and come up with excuses so that she won't be worried." Liu Longwei explained.
