After the meal, Chen Lihua took her to a hotel and booked a room.

She went into the room with her and QB, some of the bodyguards waited right outside the door, and some scouted the surroundings.

"Chynna, you can freshen up while she gets you something nice to pit on." Chen Lihua said to her friend after she passed her card to QB.

"But Ma'am, Boss said we shouldn't leave you by yourself." QB said with a worried look on her face as she took the card.

"Don't worry, I will be fine. I can't send the guys to buy some female clothes for me, that will be inappropriate. And besides, the hotel has a little clothing store, so you won't be gone for a long while." Chen Lihua said as she sat on the couch.

QB bowed before leaving the room reluctantly.

Outside the door, she motioned for K2 who was standing outside the door to watch out their Mistress.

"Are they scared that I would hurt you?. Chynna asked.

"It's not that. Their Boss wants them to keep their eyes on me." Chen Lihua replied with a smile.

"Their Boss? Are you being monitored?." Chynna asked with a confused expression on her face.

"Nooo. I'm talking about my husband. He doesn't want any harm to come near me." Chen Lihua explained.

"Oh! I see." Chynna replied as she finally got the gist.

"Lihua...." She called out suddenly.

"Mmm." Chen Lihua said, turning to glance at her.

"I'm truly sorry for attacking you years back. I thought you were scared of me and that's why you didn't come to see me for so many years." Chynna apologized as she revealed her deepest thought.

"How could you think like that? That year, I traveled to the US to further my education, I spent more than seven years there. And when I returned, I got married within a few months." Chen Lihua explained.

"Oh!." Chynna exclaimed softly.

"But this isn't the first time I've come to see you. It's just that this is the first time I'm doing it openly after years. I've come to see you secretly." Chen Lihua revealed as she gazed at her.

"You've come to see me before now, and I didn't know about it?." Chynna exclaimed with a surprised look on her face.

"Yeah. We will talk about this some other time, but you need to have your bath now." Chen Lihua said as she ushered her into the bathroom.

Chen Lihua took her on a shopping spree.

Chynna kept asking questions about the city because this is her first time out in ten years plus. She felt like she was in a different world.

Chen Lihua patiently explained to her about the changes and development that has occurred over the past few years.

"Don't worry, you will get used to the new era soon. I was like you about a year ago when I just came back from the States. I couldn't recognize anywhere, and I didn't know my way around." Chen Lihua said as she chuckled softly.

Chynna admired her surroundings.

Chen Lihua bought some clothes, footwear, bags, jewelry, and some other accessories. A make-up kit was included.

"Lihua don't you think all these are expensive and more than enough?." Chynna asked worriedly.

She was into fashion in her teenage years, although she has been in seclusion for more than a decade, she still knew when she saw the price tags and quality of some products.

"You deserve better. If you are worried about my money, please don't be, because you can not finish it any time soon." Chen Lihua said happily.

She felt so good speaking to Chynna the same way her husband speaks to her.

'Having money is a good thing.' She thought.

Chynna sighed tiredly. What can she say to her rich friend who wasn't scared of spending money?

After buying some snacks and drinks for her, Chen Lihua sent her back to the asylum.

"We are going to the spa the next time we meet." Chen Lihua said to her after she orders the bodyguards to send the snacks and drinks inside.

"Don't bother yourself. You are pregnant now, and all that stress, you don't need it." Chynna said to her as she glanced at her baby bump.

"My baby is obedient, and wouldn't mind. You will get food on daily basis from me. I don't trust the food here. If I don't make it next week, you will still get something from me." Chen Lihua promised as she smiled.

Chynna nodded as she made her way to the building. But then she stopped in her steps as she turned around to wave goodbye to Chen Lihua.

"Thank you!." She whispered to herself.

Chen Lihua saw her mouth move, but couldn't make out what she said, so she just waved back at her before her car drove off.

Back in her room, Chynna glanced at all the food items Chen Lihua got for her. She looked at them with a little emotion in her eyes.

Next, she moved to a corner and laid on the bed with her eyes shut.

A few minutes later, she slept off. But tears rolled down her cheeks as she slept.

One couldn't tell the emotions she was feeling.

In the evening, after Liu Longwei came home from work, Chen Lihua key him in on how her day went.

She was so excited as she talked about it.

"I want to get my friend a house." Chen Lihua revealed.

"Why?." Liu Longwei questioned.

"She will be out from the hospital before I deliver our baby. She doesn't have any family to go back to. They all abandoned her after the incident. I'm all she's got."

"Okay. How many bedroom flat? Which city?." Liu Longwei asked.

"Do you want to give me a hand?." Chen Lihua asked with a smile on her face.

"Yes. How can I allow my wife to bear a burden? What am I here for?." Liu Longwei retorted?

"Thank you." Chen Lihua said gratefully as she hugged him.
