Chen Lihua went ahead to give him a description of the kind of house she wanted for her friend.

"The house has to be in this city, somewhere that has good security. The vicinity doesn't need to be so quiet, but it has to be peaceful. The house has to be decorated with a few art pieces. She needs something that would give her peace of mind. The balcony has to be decorated with flowers. She needs a small library."

Chen Lihua spent more than an hour talking about the house. She was taking good considerations for her friend.

She believed that something creative would lift her spirit, so needed to put in her best.

"I would have asked her for suggestions on what she would like, but she is not interested in it. And she has been shut out for far too long, so she might not know what to pick. I've got to do my best for her." Chen Lihua said to Liu Longwei.

"You can tell Dongmei anything you want to be added in the house, I your little project over to her. I hope that's okay?." Liu Longwei inquired.

"Yes, that's fine by me. Thank you so much." Chen Lihua said as she hugged him with a satisfied smile on her face.

"Your friend would be happy to have someone like you in her life." Liu Longwei commented.

"I hope she would appreciate it because for now, her heart is not yet open. I hope she understands soon. I wanted to get her a small villa, but I'm scared she would be too lonely and end up getting depressed." Chen Lihua revealed.

"It's good you are not getting her a Villa. It will not benefit her in any way. I like how thoughtful you are. Your friend will surely appreciate your love and care towards her, she just needs time to get used to having people in her life again." Liu Longwei consoled her as he rubbed her back.

"I hope so." Chen Lihua said as she closed her eyes to sleep.

In the middle of the night, she woke up. She glanced at the other side of the bed and saw Liu Longwei fast asleep.

Since she didn't want to wake him, she quietly lifted the duvet and came out from it. Then she tiptoed her way to the door.

Just when she thought she was almost out of the room, she heard a voice behind her.

"Where are you going to?." Liu Longwei asked in surprise as he watched her funny movement. He was wide awake now.

"I'm sorry, did I wake you?." Chen Lihua asked embarrassingly.

All her efforts to escape without being caught have gone to waste.

She wanted to sneak out, but she was caught before she could accomplish her motive.

"Where are you sneaking to?." Liu Longwei asked, completely ignoring her question.

Chen Lihua was embarrassed, 'So he caught her?.'

"Nowhere." She replied with her face down as she placed a hand on her baby bump.

Liu Longwei studied her quietly, before asking.

"Are you hungry?."

Chen Lihua glanced at him, before smiling shyly. Then she nodded her head in response.

"The baby is hungry."

"It doesn't make any difference. Come, let's get you something to eat." Liu Longwei said as he came to her and held her hand.

Together, they left the room.

In the kitchen, Liu Longwei made her sit on one of the chairs surrounding the kitchen island.

"What do you want to eat?." He asked as he looked into the double door refrigerator."

"I don't have anything in mind, I'm just hungry." Chen Lihua said in reply as she watched his movement.

"Okay, let me make a simple dish for you. You can eat this while you wait for the food." Liu Longwei said to her as he passed some grapes to her.

Chen Lihua watched as she ate the grapes while he made a sandwich 🥪 for her.

"Manage this, for now, you will eat something better in the morning." Liu Longwei said as he dropped a plate of the sandwich before her, and a warm glass of milk.

"Thank you!." Chen Lihua said as her eyes shone brightly.

Without waiting for any signals, she began to eat. Halfway through the mean, she discovered that she was eating alone.

"Why are you not eating?." She asked.

Liu Longwei smirked 😏 'You finally remembered me:' he thought.

"I am not hungry, go ahead and finish the food." He said to her.

Chen Lihua continued from where she left. She finished the sandwich and glass of milk.

She was satisfied to have eaten to her fill.

"Darling, thank you!." She said happily as she pecked his cheek.

Liu Longwei smiled as he took the dirty dishes to the sink to wash.

Chen Lihua waited patiently for him. At times, she would rub her baby bump with a smile on her face.

"My appetite has increased, and I no longer have morning sickness, it is not serious like before." Chen Lihua said.

"The baby is growing, so it needs food." Liu Longwei said.

"I've been feeling dizzy a lot these days, so I asked the doctor about it, and she said that I needed to have plenty of water, at least eight glasses of water a day. I know it's healthy to drink lots of water, but eight glasses? It's a lot." Chen Lihua complained.

Liu Longwei wiped his hands before coming to her side. "You have to drink the water for the baby, and yourself. You can set an alarm for drinking a glass every hour or two hours."

"I will do that, for us." Chen Lihua said as she rubbed her baby bump.

"You've been feeling dizzy, and you didn't care to tell me? Watch how I will punish you." Liu Longwei said as he carried her and walked away.

"Darling put me down." Chen Lihua cried out in shock.

"Why?." Liu Longwei asked as he continued in his steps.

"I'm heavy." She said.

"I can still carry you. This is the only way I get to carry my child before it's born." Liu Longwei said with a smile on his face.
