"Do you have any plans for today?." Liu Huiling asked.

"Yeah. Since Lihua prepared that artistic bedroom for me, it would be a waste not to make use of this opportunity for creativity, so I plan on painting today. Just looking for more exposure." Liu Dongmei replied without looking up.

"I see. Alright! I will not disturb you from getting more inspiration. Let me go up and rest my head, see you later..." Liu Huiling said as she got up and made her way out of the flowered veranda.

"Yeah, see you." Liu Dongmei said as she continued with her work.

After going through the magazine, Liu Dongmei made some jottings and a sketch on her sketchbook. Satisfied with her work, a smile appeared on her face.

She picked up her things and went into her bedroom. She kept them there and picked up her purse in which she put her phone, credit card, and some cash before walking out.

Before leaving the house, she checked on Liu Huiling and saw she was still fast asleep, so she left quietly.

Liu Dongmei left the house and went shopping for her painting items.

Since she had to work, she needed to get those items.

She was going to spend a little fortune because her painting items were expensive. And because she didn't come to her brother's house with the ones she had, she had to shop for new ones.

Two hours later, Liu Dongmei returned to the house, and by this time, Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei were home already.

Liu Dongmei came back home with her hand filled with shopping bags. The servants had to help her carry out the drawing board and some other items from the car booth.

Liu Dongmei went straight to her bedroom to drop the items she bought.

On her way there with the servants, she met Liu Huiling who was heading downstairs.

"You're back? When I woke from my nap, the servants told me you went shopping." Liu Huiling asked as she followed her into her room.

"Yeah. After finally getting a complete inspiration and getting all riled up, I decided to shop for some of my work items and put my talent to good use." Liu Dongmei said with a smile as she walked into her room and put the items in her hands down.

"That's good. Would have loved to follow you and watch you choose your work items, but too bad I was fast asleep. Are you painting now?." Liu Huiling asked as she took a seat and watched the servants leave after settling the things in their hands down.

"No, I will start work in the evening and will need to work for long hours. Right now, I would take nap, and eat before I start work." Liu Dongmei replied as she sat on her bed with a hand massaging her neck.

"Okay. I have free time, so call me when you want to start painting, I want to watch you. These days, I'm so free since my brother relieved me of my work burden. The children just came home from school, so I will just look after them." Liu Huiling said as she stood up to leave.

"Huiling?." Liu Dongmei called out, and Liu Huiling stopped in her steps and turned around as she hummed in response, "mmmm".

"If working will make you feel better, I think you should tell brother to allow you work, rather than staying idle and thinking about the past." Liu Dongmei advised.

Liu Huiling heaved a sigh, "Don't worry about me, I know when to get back to work. Soon, I will because staying idle for a long time help me, and there's no need to dwell in the past. I feel brother didn't want me to get distracted while working, so he allowed me to take a rest for as long as I wanted."

"Okay, see you later." Liu Dongmei said to her as she watched her leave.

As Liu Huiling said, she went to check out the kids that got back from school shortly before Liu Dongmei came back home.

As for Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei, they were up and about, doing their own business.

They were organizing the baby items they shopped for.

Chen Lihua who initially felt tired from the shopping was suddenly energetic as she was pitting the items in place.

"You look so happy." Liu Longwei commented with a smile on his face.

"Of course I'm happy. Who wouldn't be happy getting things ready for their child's birth?." Chen Lihua said as she glanced at him.

"I think you should rest, you've moved around so much today." Liu Longwei suggested.

"I will rest later when I'm done organizing all of these." Chem Lihua said.

Liu Longwei smiled without saying anything as he allowed her to do what was making her happy.

They were currently in the baby's room.

"I think I should also pack my maternity items and take them to the delivery room at once." Chen Lihua said to no one in particular. She had a serious expression on her face as she said this.

Liu Longwei was about to say he would help her out, and that she should just point at the items she wanted, and he would pack them up, but she shocked him by saying, "Darling, you can leave me to organize the rest, you have a lot of work at hand, and you will be traveling in two weeks."

Liu Longwei was speechless. Although he knew his wife cared for him, he still couldn't allow her to overwork herself even when she was exhausted, so he said to her...

"I will work later. But for now, I have to help you out. I don't want you complaining about back pains. You shouldn't overwork yourself at this stage, I will help you out." Liu Longwei reminded her and further ignored whatever she had to say.

He didn't know why she was so stubborn.
