During time for dinner, Liu Dongmei was nowhere to be seen.

"Since today, I don't think I've taken a good look at Sister Mei, where did you go to?." Chen Lihua asked curiously.

"She's has been working on something since this evening. Don't worry, she will have her dinner later." Liu Huiling said.

"Oh!." Chen Lihua replied with her gaze somewhere else. Then, she continued eating.

After dinner, she made her way in search of Liu Dongmei, but Liu Huiling stopped her.

"Lihua, you don't need to go and find Dongmei. She wouldn't let anyone come near her work areas so don't bother going there."

"Really? Is what she is working on, very important?." Chen Lihua asked with doubt written all over her face.

Liu Huiling saw the doubt on her face, but that wouldn't make her let her get to the veranda, that would ruin the surprise Liu Dongmei was preparing for her, she wouldn't allow that.

"Okay. But Sister Ling, remind her to come and have dinner." Chen Lihua reminded before walking back to her room.

As her head hit her pillow, she slept off till the next morning, and she had to rush into the bathroom first thing in the morning because she was pressed.

Coming out of the bathroom after washing up, she saw Liu Longwei in the bedroom.

"Good morning, I thought you must have gone to work by this time." She said to him in surprise.

"No, I wanted to see my beautiful wife and spend a quiet morning with her." Liu Longwei replied as he walked towards her.

"Liar, you have dressed already, what's with the wait?." Chen Lihua asked as she evaded his open arms to go and sit on the bed.

"I'm serious. I decided to get dressed and wait for you, is it bad?." Liu Longwei asked as he walked to the bed and sat beside her.

"Okay, I believe you." Chen Lihua said as she rested her head on his shoulder.

"How are you?." Liu Longwei asked as he rubbed her hair.

"I'm fine."

"What about the baby, did he disturb you last night?." Liu Longwei asked because he spent less time sleeping last night.

"He disturbs a lot these days." Chen Lihua said as she caressed her baby bump with a mother's love shown in her eyes.

"I think he's moving a lot these days because he can't wait to be out." Liu Longwei said happily as he placed a hand on her abdomen.

"Yeah, my delivery date is in a few weeks, maybe that's the reason." Chen Lihua said as she smiled more.

"Mmmm."

"Darling, do well to come back from your business trip on time, so you will be in time to see our baby being delivered." Chen Lihua reminded carefully.

"Don't worry, I will be back a week before your delivery date." Liu Longwei promised as he hugged her shoulder.

"Okay." Chen Lihua muttered in a soft tone.

Two days later, Liu Dongmei left with her daughter and back to their home. But before she left, she gifted Chen Lihua to paintings.

She wrapped and packaged them before giving them to her.

"What is that?." Chen Lihua asked curiously.

"A present for you, open them later." Liu Dongmei said before walking away.

After Liu Dongmei left, Chen Lihua finally found the opportunity to unwrap the gifts, there and then, two beautiful paintings stood before her as two servants held each of the big framed paintings for her to see.

A gasp escaped from Chen Lihua's lips as she covered her mouth with her hands. She was indeed shocked by the paintings.

The first painting showed Liu Longwei standing behind her as they both hand their palms on her baby bump. 

Then the second frame showed just Chen Lihua with her two hands on her baby bump, as the beautiful smile and motherly love shown in her eyes.

"Wow! This is...is. OMG!." Chen Lihua was left speechless. She didn't even know what to feel, and the kind of emotions that were getting riled up deep inside of her.

In no time, tears started to fall down her cheeks as a result of the outburst of emotions. She had to be supported as she sat on the couch in the living room.

"Sister Mei..." Chen Lihua called out as overwhelming joy filled her heart. These paintings touched somewhere in her heart.

Just then, Liu Huiling came in from outside and saw her crying. Next, her eyes moved to the paintings, and she immediately understood the reason.

"Lihua, you don't need to cry because of this little token from Dongmei. She painted this, to say thank you for the considerations you put in so she can be comfortable in your home." Liu Huiling said as she approached her.

"Sister Ling was this what she was working on a few days ago?." Chen Lihua inquired with her tear-stained face.

"Yes, but there is no need to cry over it. How do you think Mei would feel if she finds out you cried because of the gifts she gave to you? She wouldn't be happy, so wipe your tears." Liu Huiling said to her as she consoled her.

Her words caused Chen Lihua to stop crying. 

Although Chen Lihua was touched because of the gifts, that was not enough reason to cry. But right now, she doesn't seem to be in control of her emotions.

Happy and sad occasions made her cry.

After calming down, Chen Lihua had the paintings hanged in her bedroom as she kept admiring them all over again.

Feeling satisfied, She texted Liu Dongmei to show appreciation of the gifts, instead of calling her line.

Liu Dongmei smiled as she read the long texts, Chen Lihua said to her. After reading it, she sent out her reply before closing her eyes.

Just like that, another weekend came by, and Chen Lihua was determined to take an advantage of it. She wanted to visit Chynna at the mental asylum on this day.

It's a good thing she told Liu Longwei beforehand, and he allowed her to go.
