As the time for Chen Lihua's delivery date was fast approaching, Liu Huiling and Liu Dongmei had to make emergency travel to go and help Liu Longwei out, as there was indeed a company emergency.

Liu Dongmei is the Chief Designer of the Liu group, so she was supposed to make that trip with Liu Longwei.

But since the company had another important business deal in the country, Liu Dongmei had to stay back and take care of it.

Now that she was done, she needed to go and meet Liu Longwei to help out because the workload on his shoulder was much.

A day before she decided to embark on the trip, she called Liu Huiling on phone.

"Huiling, why don't you come with me? Brother is handling your job and his at the same time. You know this is a very important contract, and he doesn't trust anyone but you to do an excellent job. Now he asked you to rest, the workload on him will be much."

"I've actually thought about it. There is no need to cry over split milk. I can't let my past affect my future. The baby is gone, and it's gone forever. I've been thinking that if the baby was meant to stay, it wouldn't leave without notice." Liu Huiling sighed.

"I know you are still grieved over what has happened to you, but it's good if you forget it soon or it will affect you. No bastard is worth your tears okay?." Liu Dongmei encouraged.

"I know. I'm just pained over the loss of my child. Well, it's my fault. I think the baby noticed I wasn't happy with it coming into this world, so it chose to leave." Liu Huiling said in a bitter tone.

"Huiling, why are you talking like this?." Liu Dongmei asked worriedly.

She has always known this sister of hers to be a strong woman, but what was going on with her now?

"I didn't cherish the baby before. I was angry when I found out I was pregnant because of the problems I had with Zhang Wei. Then after talking with you, I accepted the fact that I was pregnant and needed to accept the child. So I started making plans on how to reconcile with Zhang Wei, but things got out of hand." Liu Huiling said sorrowfully.

"Huiling don't tell me you regret Parting ways with that bastard? Huiling, even the baby could not accept the fact that you wanted to go back to that shameless man, so it chose to leave, so it's not your fault in any way. You shouldn't dwell on these matters anymore, it's disheartening." Liu Dongmei advised.

"Alright. We would head out tomorrow morning. I just hope we will be back in time to see Lihua deliver her child." Liu Huiling said.

Liu Dongmei finally relaxed as she assured her, "We will return early since our going will be fruitful and make work easier."

"Alright, see you tomorrow then." Liu Huiling said.

After the call, Liu Huiling told her mother and Chen Lihua of her plans, and they encouraged her to go ahead.

Initially, they were worried about her and wanted her to go sightseeing, or do anything that would make her happy again, and keep her from thinking about the past.

Now traveling quite some distance away for work is a good thing, at least work could distract jer for now.

At night, Liu Huiling packed her bags as she talked with her little girls.

"Mum, are you going off to somewhere just like Dad?." Little Apple asked with an expectant look on her face.

At the mention of 'Dad', Liu Huiling pause in her actions, but later continued as if nothing happened.

"I'm going on a business trip, but I will be back before you know it okay?."

"But mum, we will miss you so much," Cherry said as she gazed at her mother with her eyes shining brightly.

Liu Huiling put the last clothe in her bag before zipping them. Then she Squats as placed her hands on Cherry's shoulders.

"Mum will miss you girls too, but I will be back in a few days. But till then, you two have to be well behaved like the way Mama thought you. Stay with Aunt Lihua till I'm back, but do not give her troubles okay?."

"Okay, Mummy!." The two girls chorused together in their lively voices.

"Good girls." Liu Huiling said as a smile appeared on her face as she gently rubbed their hair.

"Mum, the baby in Aunt Hua's tummy is so cute?." Little Apple said as she gestured with her hands.

"Really? How do you know that?." Liu Huiling asked with much interest as she sat on the bed and gazed into her daughter's eyes.

"He plays with us each time we call out to him," Cherry replied happily.

Liu Huiling became very much confused. How did they manage to play with a baby that's not yet been born?

Seeing the confusion written all over their mother's face, they knew that she was in desperate need of an answer, so they hurried to explain how they play with Chen Lihua's unborn child.

"I see. But do not play with the baby a lot, you will be disturbing your Aunt, got it?." Liu Huiling instructed.

"Okay, Mum!." The girls chorused again.

That night, Liu Huiling didn't allow them to return to their bedroom after dinner. She took them to her bedroom.

Instead of calling on their nanny to wash their bodies, she bathes them by herself and got them dressed, before assisting them up to the bed.

She read a new story from a new storybook for them and watched them doze off.

Liu Huiling quietly kept the book aside and turned off the lights before covering their bodies with the duvet.

"Good night my beautiful angels." Liu Huiling said as she kissed their foreheads.

After that, Liu Huiling laid on her side with her back on the bed and her eyes life upwards, as she became lost in thought, probably thinking about her and her children's future.
