Liu Longwei received answers to his questions. And while he was taking care of his son who refused to play by himself, Chen Lihua was chatting with her half-brother.

Their conversation was awkward because Chen Lihua wasn't so comfortable talking with him, since they weren't too close when they were young, and added to the fact that they've been separated for so many years.

Chen Lihua couldn't feel any connection, but thanks to her half-brother, who kept the conversation flowing.

After having some necessary talks, Chen Weiyuan asked about her son.

"I left him with his father." Chen Lihua replied as she sipped from her juice glass.

"I see. So now we are in good term, can come by to see your husband and son? And of course, I'm not coming alone, I will come with Mum and Dad." Chen Weiyuan asked as he stared into her eyes.

"You are welcome, anytime, as long as we remain close families." Chen Lihua replied. She definitely had no problems with that.

"Alright, thank you!." Chen Weiyuan replied.

Just then, Chen Lihua's phone rang, so she apologized to him before answering the call.

"What, do you and your son miss me already?." Chen Lihua asked.

"I wish it was just that. Your son more than misses you. He's hungry?." Liu Longwei said before the child in his arms started to cry again.

"His food is in the feeder, how long has he been crying?." Chen Lihua asked, unsettled with the situation.

"He has been crying for a while now. He refused to eat from the bottle even though he's hungry." Liu Longwei said as he walked about his office with his crying son.

"Okay, I will be there in five minutes. But please, try to make him stop crying, I don't like it. Give his toys to him, or sing a song to him. I brought a whole lot of stuff for that." Chen Lihua said as she stood to her feet.

"Okay, I will try. When you get to the company, wait at the underground parking lot, we will meet you there." Liu Longwei instructed.

"You are going home now?." Chen Lihua asked in surprise.

"Yeah, see you..."

"Your child is crying?." Chen Weiyuan asked.

"Yes, and I'm sorry I have to leave. See you next weekend." Chen Lihua said as she waved goodbye to him.

"Bye, be careful on the road!." Chen Weiyuan said with much urgency in his voice.

At the underground parking lot, Chen Lihua saw Liu Longwei walking towards her with the child in his arms, as Asst. Duyi and the bodyguards followed him. (Liu Longwei's bodyguards, included)

All of them that followed him, were holding one item or the other.

As Chen Lihua took over her son, he started to cry when he saw her.

"Ssshhh, mum is here okay?." She said as she cuddled the little guy.

The little guy cried for a few more seconds before shutting his mouth.

Without wasting time, the bodyguards put everything they were holding inside the car and got inside.

Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei got inside the car she came with.

As Liu Longwei sat on the driver's seat, with Chen Lihua on the front passenger seat with the child in her arms, he drove off. And only then did Chen Lihua start to breastfeed her son.

You need to see the way this hungry little guy rushed the boobs as he clasped his little hands around it and began to suck hard on it.

Chen Lihua tried to get him to suck slowly, but her attempt was futile, so she gave up.

As Chen Lihua was preparing to go back to work, on Monday morning, she had to prepare breastmilk for her son, since she would be leaving him with his nannies and grandmother.

As she used the breast pump, she complained to Liu Longwei.

"I feel like a cow."

Liu Longwei chuckled softly as he came to her side. He pecked her cheek and encouraged her.

"You are not a cow! And you're doing a good job, being a mother and a wife."

The next day, Chen Lihua resumed work, and she was well welcomed after being absent for four months.

The only person who couldn't hide his disdain was the Deputy Chief.

Like, this Old man would never change! 😬 But it's a good thing Chen Lihua didn't spare him a glance.

After welcoming her, The Chief asked to see him in the office, so they could talk about her schedules, in a way it would be favorable for her.

That morning, Chen Lihua could see gifts piled up in her office. She smiled to herself as she glanced at the gifts with heartfelt gratitude, before taking a seat.

After her morning consultations, there was a meeting for the Cardiothoracic surgeons in SUH, so Chen Lihua had to attend because the meeting was vital.

During the meeting, Chen Lihua was a little absent-minded because she thinking about her son, and how he would come without her for such long hours.

At this time she was lost in thought, the Chief called out to her, asking for her opinion, without knowing that she hasn't been paying attention.

At the mention of her name, Chen Lihua jerked back to reality. She smiled apologetically to the Chief as she apologized to him and her fellow doctors.

"I'm sorry Chief, I didn't get you..."

"It's alright, I understand." The Chief smiled and recapped.

The deputy chief sneered as he muttered to the hearing of everyone in the room.

"If you can be absent-minded in a meeting as important as this, who knows if you won't cause a rupture when performing a surgery?."

'I'm indeed, back to the hospital.' Chen Lihua thought to herself 🙄.

But then, she turned to glance at the bitter-hearted man.

"Deputy Chief, I believe you didn't have to take things to heart since I apologized. But for a moment, I forgot you have a small rocked heart, you don't have feelings. But I sometimes wonder how you managed to live till this age with so much bitterness in you, you should go and rest."

Chen Lihua smirked before turning to the Chief to say in an amicable tone, leaving the black-faced and speechless Deputy Chief.

"Please go ahead, Chief."

Her fellow doctors/colleagues could barely hold in their laughter. The situation was so funny.

'Dr. Chen is back indeed 😏.'

'She is the perfect medicine to smash his ego 😆.'

'The deputy Chief has a glib tongue, but Dr. Chen's cannot be beaten 😅.'

'The deputy Chief has indeed, met his match 😌.'

These were some of the thoughts and emotions that were going through the minds of her colleagues.

Some of them have been oppressed by the Deputy Chief for so long, that they couldn't wait to retaliate. But now they had a backup, of course, they would be happy.

The Deputy Chief had a higher rank than them, so at times, they were scared to go against him. But then, they met someone who wasn't scared of his position in the hospital, someone that could challenge him and remain unaffected, of course, they were happy! 😊

To them, this was truly, An Unexpected Comeback.

After the meeting, Chen Lihua took her belongings and went to the rooftop to take the helicopter 🚁 back home.

When she left, the Deputy Chief started to complain about her to the Chief.

"Did you see how rude she was? She was even asking me to go and die!. And because of her lack in manners, she didn't even bother to mince her words." The Deputy Chief said in anger.
