Back in the forest, ray was still napping when he felt the ground tremble like some wild beast is battling since it's not that serious until the sound became loud to the extent of napping becoming loud. Getting up from the grass, Ray was just about to go ahead and see what is causing all this racket when he heard the notification from the system.

*ding*

[warning the Army of gnurx are heading your way]

" What, they finally decided to attack today. I have to warn Ellis before they get to the cave" said Ray before turning around and started running towards the cave.

On getting to the cave, Ray started looking for Ellis and after asking around he was able to find him watching some group of workers mining while Josh was standing behind him and was saying something to Ellis. But during their conversation Ellis notices that someone was heading their way, turning around to see who it was only for Ellis to see Ray running to him.

" What is it this time for you to be playing around," asked Ellis not waiting for Ray to catch his breath.

" This is bad news for us, the gnurx are already on their way to the cave as we speak" replied ray.

" What but we are yet to recover from the last attack, how do we suppose to fight them this time around, and let's not forget that some of our men are seriously injured," said josh this time around.

" Josh goes and summons Kate and Maria to meet us in the entrance," said Ellis before dashing out of the cave with ray.

When they got to the entrance they discovered that the gnurx army has not yet arrived and that went both Kate and Maria ran out of the cave. Seeing that they have arrived, Ellis told them how the fight is going to be a little difficult this time since they are short of men on their side and decided to let Kate and Maria fight from the start and if his father was to hear of it, he will have to deal with himself.

Instructing josh to gather those that could still fight, they decided to head to the forest to start the fight there and catch the gnurx on surprise. It didn't take long after running for twenty minutes, they were able to see the army of gnurx walking like they are not in a hurry to start the fight.

" They are not as much as the last time," said Ellis.

" Yeah, but they might be more troublesome than the last one" added Kate while looking at a particular gnurx among the crowd of gnurx, and it seems like the gnurx is also looking at her.

" Why did you say so asked ray in confusion?

" Well have you noticed that the lowest realm among this group is at the QI refining 9 while their leader is a golden core 1 stage, and it will be really hard to break through its defense unless there is a cultivator that is in golden core 5 stages" replied maria while taking her sword out of nowhere.

" Hey Ellis, why don't we just get the worker and go back to the clan and let the clan deal with them instead of risking our lives here," said Ray.

" Abandoning the warberry cave is punishment by death, even the young clan masters can not ignore this very rules" replied a silhouette from behind of their group while wearing a cloak that conceals his face.

Shock by how they were not able to notice another presence they all turn around to see who it was only to see a hooded man.

" Who the hell are you," asked Ellis while taking a fighting stance.

Seeing that his sudden appearance was not really idyllic and if he was unable to clarify things a battle will break out before the gnurx get to where they were, the silhouette walk forward while taking the cloak off his face to reveal his identity to them.

" Edward pays respect to young clan master," said Edward with a knee on the floor while lowering his head a little.

" Oh so is sir Edward all along, did my father sent you here to assist me," asked Ellis after knowing who they were talking to.

" Yes young master Ellis, the truth is we have been keeping watch since the day you arrive and was unable to show ourselves since we don't want the gnurx to know of our strength, and even as I speak, they are still probing your group which is why commander Derrick sent me over to assist you replied Edward while still kneeling.

" What, commander derrick is also here," asked derrick in shock.

Seeing that Ellis and the rest of the group were shocks to hear that some so-called commander was here, ray could not take it anymore and decided to ask Josh who was standing close to him who this commander was.

" Josh do you know who this commander they are talking about".

" Commander derrick is the head of the clan army and sir Edward here is one of his right-hand men" replied josh.

After knowing who the man before them was, ray walks forward and looks Edward in the eye before asking.

" And why did you say abandoning the cave is equivalent to death".

" That's because the warberry cave is the reason why the clan has been able to stand at equal ground with the Bryan clan and losing it will be bad news for the clan" replied Edward.

" Since it's important to the clan then why are they not showing any important while the gnurx are trying to make it their territory," asked Ray once again.

" At first we thought things will not go this way which is why young master Ellis was sent to oversee the place but since the gnurx are planning to take it as their own, we have requested for reinforcement, and they will be here in no time" replied Edward.

Ignoring Edward and Ray, Ellis turns back to look at the army of gnurx heading their way.
