They search the whole place but were unable to locate the treasure, and before they knew it, it was already getting dark.

" Are you sure there is a treasure hiding here" asked Ray.

" There have to be, else why would they suddenly stop chasing us and went back to their territory if they are not protecting something" replied Ellis who was already getting angry.

" Are you sure cause if am not mistaking we have already turned this place upside down and there is still no sign of the snake tribe not to talk about the treasure" said Ray.

" Hey am not some kind of wizard that can pinpointing any treasure from a distance, I only guessed due to the snake king reaction" replied Ellis.

Ray was just about to lash at Ellis when he suddenly remembers that he had a system that was able to lead them out of the mysterious wetland word.

" If it can lead us out of the forest, locating the treasure or sign of life force within range should be a walk in the park" said Ray to himself.

" Hey, is it possible for you to locate hidden treasure around the surrounding".

" So there is really nothing here eh" said Ray before turning to Ellis.

Ray was just about to tell Ellis about the information when he saw a dark brown scale that was stuck to a tree not too far from where they stood. Taking a closer look, Ray was a shock to see a snake beast that actually blend together with the tree and if some were not to focus much on it, they won't be able to see it.

Acting like he had not seen the snake, Ray walked up to Ellis and begin to tell him about the place been devoid of treasure and at the sign time he was peeping to see if the snake beast was still there only to see that it haven't moved an inch.

Seeing how strange Ray is acting, Ellis asked in a low voice that only the both of them could hear.

" What is it Ray, did you manage to find anything".

" Yeah, there is a snake beast that's camouflage on a tree behind you" replied Ray still keeping it low.

" Why didn't you say so earlier" asked Ellis with a frown?

" That's because I was scared you would scare it away, since it's the only hope we have of getting our hands on any treasure they are hiding" replied Ray with a smile.

" So now are we just going to stand here and wait until it make it move or what" asked Ellis.

" If we do that, it will begin to suspect that we know of his existence" replied Ray.

" So what should we do asked Ellis who was so edger to leave the forest.

Ray stop smiling and begin to walk forward before saying to Ellis.

" Just walk and don't pay it any attention".

Realizing what Ray was up to, Ellis couldn't help but smile before say

Making their way out of the snake territory Ray and Ellis acted like nothing has happened making the snake beast lower it guide since it has not been discovered, but before they could take one more step forward, Ray suddenly took out his blade from the scabbard in lightening speed and send two a wind slash at where the snake beast is hiding.

In shock at how the humans were able to see him, the snake beast turned around in an attempt to dodge the wind slash jump out of the tree while sending a wind attack of its own to counter the attack. Landing on the ground, the snake beast was just about to run to is life, but before it could move it body from the ground a fist was already planted in is abdomen which send it flying backward and crash on the tree it was hiding on previously.

" Hey take it easy will you, that's our only chance of finding anything good here" said Ray when he felt the strength behind Ellis punch.

" I know, I reduce the strength of the punch by much. As you can see it still breathing" replied Ellis with a smile in his face.

Turning to look at the beast that was struggling to get up only to fall back due to sustaining an internal injury from the punch. Walking up to the snake beast with his blade by his side, Ray bent down and asking the snake beast while looking it straight in the eye.

" Where is the treasure that you all have been risking your life to protect".

Keeping silent while looking at Ray confusingly of what the human could be talking about. Ray asked again but this time around, his voice was already getting louder from rage on how the snake beast was not saying anything and was just looking at him like how someone would look at a fool.

The snake beast began to shake in fear but still reduced to say a thing.

" Oh you are still refusing to talk" said Ray while lifting his blade high ready to strike the beast.

And that's when Ellis came in and hold Ray by the hand before saying.

" You fool, do you want to kill our only source of finding the treasure".

" I just want to torment it a little and not kill it since it refusing to talk" replied Ray while looking at Ellis.

" And how do you expect a beast that is not a spirit beast to understand what you are saying and give you back a reply" asked Ellis once more.

When Ray heard what Ellis said he turned to look at the snake beast and turn back to Ellis in shock before replying.

" You mean it could not understand the words I am saying".

Ellis choked when he heard Ray reply.

' How can you be living in this world and still don't know the common knowledge about beast being able to understand and communicate with a human only after ascending into a spirit beast' thought Ellis before adjusting himself and clear his throat before asking Ray.

" So you mean to say you did not know this snake could not talk".

" If I knew will I be wasting my time talking to it" replied Ray while looking at the snake beast in disgust.

" Tell me how could you be so dumb to not know that only a spirit beast and immortal beast can speak in the human language" asked Ellis.

" Oh now you are calling me an idiot" replied Ray.

" And so, how could you not know such simple details about the beast" said Ellis.

" And how is that my concern" replied Ray while getting up to face Ellis ignoring the weak snake beast in the process.

" Ah, all you ever know to do is fight. When we get back I will have to place all this small knowledge into that brain of yours even if I have to do it by force" said Ellis before walking pass Ray and sat in the ground close to the snake beast.

Seeing that the wild human is no longer in front of it, it became relied and turn to look at the chubby one in front of him who has a smile on his face.

Placing his hand on the storage ring, Ellis brought out a shiny stone and other stuff. Waving them in front of the snake beast before placing them back into the storage ring.

" I hope this works" said Ellis while looking at the snake beast .

Seeing the strange action Ellis was making, Ray sat down a bit far from the two of them and begin to observe the outcome.

Taking the crystals out again, Ellis begin to gesture at the snake beast before placing them back into the ring.

The snake beast widen his eyes in realization after many demonstrations from Ellis and pointed at a tree at too far from them. Seeing this, Ray stood up and give Ellis a thumbs up with a smile on his face.

Ellis step aside instead of going to search the tree, seeing this the snake beast knew what the human was trying to say and struggling to get up before walking to the tree and begin to dig the ground and after digging for some time, they were able to see items that are buried on the tree.

" Wait a minute, is that the dragon pearl, earth core" said Ellis with a smile on his face while holding a strange stone and a pearl in his hand.

" Hey bro what are does" asked Ray from the side.

" This is a dragon pearl and earth core, with these two items it won't be a problem for me to advance my cultivation and body into another realm" replied Ellis in joy.

" Wow than I guess we really make it big" said Ray with a smile on his face.

" Yes, you can say that, this is really a treasure worth risking our lives for" replied Ellis.
